Hamas Tells Egypt To Take Their Ceasefire Proposal And Shove It

It appears that Hamas wants the fighting with Israel to continue...and I would say, at this point, there are quite a few in the IDF that would love to oblige them. Do you suppose this will be the headline on the MSM tonight - "Hamas Turns Down Ceasefire" ? Yeah right. Anyway, here's the entire brief article from Breitbart:

Hamas rejects Egyptian cease-fire proposal

JERUSALEM, Jan. 8 (AP) - (Kyodo)—Islamist group Hamas and other Palestinian factions on Thursday rejected a cease-fire proposal made by Egypt.
The Palestinian groups expressed their position in a statement released in Syria where they are based.
It is not clear whether the statement reflects Hamas' final position but the move is likely to hamper efforts for a cease-fire.
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak made the proposal on Tuesday as the U.N. Security Council convened a high-level meeting in an attempt to broker a truce in Gaza. The proposal called for an immediate cease- fire in Hamas-ruled Gaza to enable humanitarian aid to the area.
Citing a tally by a human rights organization, the Associated Press said Thursday that the Palestinian death toll came to at least 712 since Israel launched an aid raid on Gaza on Dec. 27 in retaliation for Hamas' missile attacks on southern Israel.
Israel began ground offensive in Gaza on Saturday.

It's my guess that Hamas thinks that world opinion is swinging their way and that in the long run, they are going to get a ceasefire with the one term that they desire more than anything - that is, that Israel has to open all border crossings. If that ends up happening, then I am here to tell you that Israel has lost this offensive.

And at the same time, Israel needs to take this Hamas refusal of ceasefire and capitalize on it with some major progress towards disabling all Hamas rockets.
