A New U.S. Missile Strike Inside Of Pakistan Kills Three Taliban

Yessss! It's been a bit since the last predator drone missile strike by the U.S. inside of Pakistan's NW tribal area and that happened late yesterday as a known Taliban leader's home was targeted and three dead Taliban were the result. There's no word yet on who got snuffed in this strike. Here's some of the brief details from Times of India:

A missile strike by a suspected US drone killed at least three militants on Friday in a Pakistani tribal district known to be a
stronghold of al-Qaida and the Taliban, an official said
"A missile fired by a suspected US drone killed three people outside the town of Mir Ali in Miranshah tribal district," a senior security official said. Local officials confirmed the strike and said it targeted the houses of a suspected Taliban militant north of Mir Ali.

I'm not sure if the U.S. was hanging back with all of the Mumbai tensions so high but hopefully this is a sign that we are on full steam ahead mode from now on - I'd like to see a couple of more of these strikes over the weekend.

Three dead in suspected US missile strike in Pak: Official

ISLAMABAD: A missile strike by a suspected US drone killed at least three militants on Friday in a Pakistani tribal district known to be a
stronghold of al-Qaida and the Taliban, an official said.

"A missile fired by a suspected US drone killed three people outside the town of Mir Ali in Miranshah tribal district," a senior security official said. Local officials confirmed the strike and said it targeted the houses of a suspected Taliban militant north of Mir Ali. Washington has stepped up its missile strikes against suspected al-Qaida and Taliban hideouts in tribal areas in recent months despite protests by Islamabad. A missile attack late last month by a US jet killed Rashid Rauf, the alleged al-Qaida mastermind of a 2006 transatlantic airplane bombing plot, as well as an Egyptian al-Qaida operative, security officials have said.
