Senior Taliban Commander Killed In Helmand Province

Great news! A senior Taliban commander was killed in Helmand province - the dude's name was Bismullah Akhund. Now, the AP account of all this is here at Breitbart and it really doesn't have much info on how Bismullah was killed - in fact, the AP reporter is a helluva lot more interested in writing about civilian casualties in Afghanistan than any of these pesky details about the dead Taliban who, by the way mr. AP reporter, are the ones operating in civilian homes and areas so the civilians are put at risk.

In another report I saw, it said that it was actually British special forces that took out Bismullah. But the important part is the pig is dead and it's a serious blow to the Taliban in Helmand. Here's some of the report from the worthless AP islamic reporter:

NATO reported Thursday that a senior Taliban commander has been killed and Afghan officials said an airstrike left at least 10 insurgents dead and four civilians wounded.
The military alliance said that Bismullah Akhund, an insurgent leader in the southern province of Helmand, was killed on Saturday in Naw Zad district. It did not say how Akhund died.
NATO accused Akhund of supplying weapons and roadside bombs that have killed Afghan and foreign forces in the area—a hub of the insurgency wracking Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, Gen. Mohammad Zahir Azimi, a defense ministry spokesman, said "tens of enemy" were killed during a joint NATO-Afghan army operation in the western province of Herat.

You notice how the AP slime says NATO "accused Akhund of supply weapons and roadside bombs..."? Hahaha. It's like he wants to raise some doubts whether or not Bismullah was even a bad guy or not. He calls him a senior Taliban commander in one breath and tries to lay doubt on NATO in the next breath.

I did notice the other report in the same article about the successful hit on the Taliban in Herat out west in Afghanistan so that is an added bonus.

NATO claims Taliban commander killed

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) - NATO reported Thursday that a senior Taliban commander has been killed and Afghan officials said an airstrike left at least 10 insurgents dead and four civilians wounded.
NATO confirmed it launched an airstrike against insurgents that "was effective." It provided no other details.
There were varying accounts of the death toll.
The head of Herat's provincial council, Humayun Azizi, said 10 to 12 militants were killed and that there were also reports of civilian casualties from the airstrikes.
NATO had no immediate comment on the operation.
Abdul Shukur, the Shindand police chief, said three houses were destroyed during the clashes. He said two local militant commanders and their two sons were among the dead.
Four wounded civilians—two children, one man and one woman—were brought to Herat hospital for treatment, Azizi said. Azizi said the raid targeted a militant cell.
He said they were also suspected in kidnappings and said they were holding at least 15 people hostage. It was not clear if any of those allegedly held were killed during the raid.
On Wednesday, the U.S.-led coalition said eight civilians died in airstrikes called in after one of its patrols came under attack in neighboring Farah province.

Old Bismullah Akhund must have been a little surprised not to find those 70 virgins...

His dying words were, "Where are we going? And what am I doing in this handbasket?"

Ah, the final abode of all filthy terrorists...
