Bomb Blast Hits Near Pakistani Consulate In Western Afghanistan

Pretty brief little story here from Breitbart and there were only two people injured in this bombing but I've put it up because it is indicative of the strained relations between the countries of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Just yesterday, a Canadian U.N. envoy sided with Afghanistan's contention that Pakistani spies were involved to some degree in the Taliban attack on President Karzai a couple of months ago and of course, there is constant bloodshed at the border of these two countries. Here's a few details on this bombing in western Afghanistan:

Officials say that a blast outside a Pakistani consulate in western Afghanistan has wounded at least two people.
Naeem Khan, a spokesman for Pakistan's embassy in Kabul, says the explosives were placed on a bicycle outside the gates of the consulate in the city of Herat.

Now, I have no idea who might have set off this blast - it's almost reminiscient of the psychological goading that al Qaeda did in Iraq with bombings of rival sect mosques - in other words, the thought pattern here could be to bomb the Pakistan consulate so that images of dead Pakistani employees there would incite a reaction from Pakistan.

Either way you look at it, there is growing evidence that every bloody jihadist in the world seems to have a homing device for Afghanistan and Pakistan right now and it's my prediction at some point in the next few months, NATO will need to reevaluate the scope of their mission in both Afghanistan and Pakistan.
