Democrat Sen. Barack Hussein Obama landed in Afghanistan's eastern province of Nengarhar in a surprise visit to U.S. troops there. I don't know what was more of a surprise, the troops seeing the kingpin of American leftist surrender or Obama's actually seeing an American soldier in person. I don't care who or what the politics of the people involved in this visit to Afghanistan, this has got to be one uncomfortable situation - this would be like renowned atheist nutcase Richard Dawkins climbing to the pulpit of the Crystal Cathedral on a Sunday morning. Anyway, here's the uneventful story from Breitbart.
I don't care what anyone says, the military of the U.S. knows this Obama dude is bad news. Not only is he a surrenderist on Iraq, but he is absolutely wet behind the ears on every military aspect - not to mention THIS IS HIS FIRST TRIP TO AFGHANISTAN. Can you imagine?
U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama arrived in Afghanistan on Saturday on a surprise visit to meet with U.S. military commanders and high-ranking Afghan officials, the Foreign Ministry said.Hopefully, Obama will look for some propaganda photo shoots while there, will don a combat helmet and get into an M1A1 tank and we'll have the same imagery we had of Michael Dukakis.
He flew to Nengarhar Province in eastern Afghanistan to visit U.S. troops there, said a U.S. military officer who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Obama plans to refocus efforts in Afghanistan by drawing down combat troops in Iraq and sending two more brigades, or about 7,000 troops, to Afghanistan.
NATO has more than 53,000 soldiers in Afghanistan, out of which around 19,000 of them are Americans.

NATO has more than 53,000 soldiers in Afghanistan, out of which around 19,000 of them are Americans.
The United States also has around 16,000 troops involved in separate counterterrorism operations mostly massed in the eastern part of the country.
The trip is Obama's first to Afghanistan, where U.S.-led forces toppled the Taliban from power in 2001. Since then, the Taliban and Al-Qaida remnants have stepped up their attacks on Afghan and foreign forces, mostly from the mountainous tribal belt along the Pakistan border.
More than 2,000 people have been reportedly killed in violence since the beginning of the year.
