Press TV Puts Out Another Media Hatchet Job

Okay, for those that don't know, Press TV is an english language media outlet that is sponsored by the Iranians. But, the fact of the matter is that this media source is constantly sourced for news about the Middle East and Asia. So, today I see the following headline:

Barak: Hezbollah has 42,000 missiles
Now, that seems innocent enough, right? Barak, of course referring to the Israeli Defense minister. I'm going to put the entire article on this from Press TV here so we can look at how this "news" outlet is waging a hidden war of propaganda:

Barak: Hezbollah has 42,000 missiles

Israeli war minister says Hezbollah possesses more than 42,000 missiles and criticizes his government's conduct during the 33-day War. The Israeli war minister, Ehud Barak, speaking in Tel Aviv said, "Hezbollah was created as a result of Israel's invasion of Lebanon in 1982. In fact, it was established when we were in Lebanon and now it is equipped with more than 42,000 long-range missiles capable of reaching Dimona and Yeruham from Beirut," Press TV's Beirut Bureau reported.

The southern town of Dimona is home to a reactor that is the centerpiece of the Zionist regime's illegal nuclear weapons program. The regime began developing a nuclear reactor in Dimona in the 1950s. The Zionist regime is reportedly the only nuclear-armed country in the Middle East and has consistently refused to sign the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). Barak also slammed the government's conduct during Israel's 33-day War against Lebanon in the summer of 2006.

In January, the Israeli Winograd Commission confirmed Israel's defeat in their invasion. The Zionist war minister defended his own decision to withdraw Israeli forces from Lebanon in 2000, saying it was "mistaken" to believe the withdrawal made Hezbollah stronger.
Okay, let's take a look:

1. You'll notice that I have put in bold the number of times Press TV refers to the Israelis as a "Zionist regime" or "Zionists."
2. Notice that Press TV is referring to Barak as "Israeli War Minister" and not the correct title of Israeli Defense Minister.
3. Look at how Press TV is claiming that the Winograd Commission confirmed Israeli defeat.
4. Notice the reference to Israel's "illegal" nuclear weapons program?

As you can see, this news release could have been (and probably was) written by an Iranian government official and yet, I found this story benignly listed as breaking news stories at one of America's top counter-terrorism blogs.

We have always been bombarded by the jihadist spin on articles out of AP and API and other sources like Reuters have always had their deceit and bias, but for the Iranians to put out a fake news service like Press TV that actually gets reported, is absurd.
