Great, great news here! A very brief account of the capture of an Al Qaeda in Iraq leader in Mosul is here in the article from Aswataliraq so I will just post in it's entirety right here:

Mosul, Apr 16, (VOI)- Al-Qaeda’s Islamic State of Iraq leader was arrested by security forces in southwestern Mosul, the official spokesman for the Ninewa operations said on Wednesday.
‘The forces managed to arrest Muhannad surnamed (Abu Hadied) in al-Resala neighborhood in southwestern Mosul,” Brig. Khaled Abdul Sattar told Aswat al-Iraq – Voices of Iraq (VOI).“The operation was carried out on a tip about his planning to booby-trap and detonate a building used by the Iraqi army,” he explained.“A fake identification card (ID) was found in his possession,” the brigadier also said.Mosul, the capital of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad.
The huge news here is that we were looking for some positives coming from the fighting in Mosul and it's also very encouraging to see that the locals even in Mosul are giving up the goose on the al Qaeda in Iraq goons there. These tips from locals is the difference in this whole operation. One of these days I'm going to sit down and count how many leaders of al Qaeda in Iraq have been captured or killed since January 1, 2008 - it HAS to be a very impressive number!
