Horrible news out of Gaza - Islamic Jihad is claiming responsibility for this but now Hamas is saying they helped and by the end of the day, we should have every islamist terrorist group known to man claiming they did this. An Israeli patrol was ambushed in Gaza with one Israeli soldier being killed and three others injured.
This is just a paragraph news items from Breitbart, but this reeks of a set up to me. My guess is that a false tip was called in and that the Israeli troops were led into a set up for ambush.
Either way, my guess is this will renew Israeli efforts - and the targeting of higher and mid level Hamas and Islamic Jihad leaders should intensify.
One certainly can hope for that.

Israel: Militants Kill Israeli Soldier
GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) - Palestinian militants ambushed an Israeli army patrol in the northern Gaza Strip on Thursday, killing one soldier and wounding three others, the Israeli army said.
The incident raised the likelihood of a fresh round of violence in Gaza, just two days after Israel ended an offensive that killed more than 120 Palestinians. Witnesses said a large explosion tore through an army jeep, setting it on fire. Several other army vehicles, along with an army helicopter, rushed to the scene and came under fire, the witnesses said.
The Islamic Jihad militant group claimed responsibility for the attack, and the ruling Hamas group said it also participated.
