IDF Finds Kassam Missile Silos In Gaza

As the article here from JPost explains, Hamas in Gaza has taken up the tactics of Hezbollah in implementing Kassam missile silos - those silos were found when IDF forces killed seven Hamas and Islamic Jihad jihadists in Gaza.
Today, some 20 Kassam rockets hit inside Israel causing minor damage but the Israelis are now saying that they suspect Kassam silos throughout the Gaza strip.
I think the important part of this is the learning process that the Israelis and the West has to come to from all of these recent developments. A number of months ago, Hamas, Hezbollah and Syrian leaders flew out for meetings with their backer and leader, Iran. It's my opinion that in those meeting in Tehran, the strategies that we are now seeing were hatched - the missile attack barrage of Israel by Hamas, the border fence demolition on the Egyptian border by Hamas, the terrorist attack bombings in Lebanon by Hezbollah, Hezbollah's training of Hamas on the use of Kassam silos and Syria's blocking of elections in Lebanon.
What I hope Israel is considering is that this is just the strategies and tactics we have witnessed ...so far. And what is the grander scheme? Is this a softening of Israel where the Israelis are lulled to sleep by daily missiles in order to divert them from the eye on the bigger weapons in southern Lebanon? With Israelis tied up with Hamas in Gaza, is this meant to be the perfect time for Syria to make a move on the Golan Heights?
Two things are working against Israel here: 1. The Israelis are in disarray under Olmert 2. Hamas, Hezbollah and Syria know by now that there is NOTHING they would do that would cause World outcry.
I hope Israel is asking these same questions.

IDF finds Kassam silos in Gaza

In a clear sign that Hamas is adopting Hizbullah tactics, IDF troops uncovered underground Kassam launch silos inside the Gaza Strip during an early-morning foray there on Thursday. During the operation, the troops killed seven Palestinian gunmen affiliated with Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

Pictures released by the IDF Spokesperson's Office showed two underground Kassam rocket silos, a meter in diameter and two meters deep. The launchers, the army said, were big enough to hold a Kassam or Grad-model Katyusha rocket that could be launched by remote control.
The IDF estimates that there are additional underground rocket silos throughout the Gaza Strip. The silos were discovered by the Golani Brigade's elite Egoz Unit and defense officials said that their discovery proved the need for continued ground operations inside the Gaza Strip.
Some 20 Kassam rockets hit the western Negev on Thursday. One of the rockets hit a garage adjacent to a house in Sderot, causing a fire and sending three people into shock.
