Hamas' Mashaal: Gilad Shalit Only Released In Exchange for Pali Prisoners

This is a very brief report from YNET (full text below) but it speaks volumes as to the audacity of the Hamas kingpin, Mashaal. For those unaware, Khaled Mashaal leads Hamas from a safe haven in Damascus, Syria. This guy is too chicken, too gutless to even live near the Israelis. As for this announcement...all I can say is ... what? Or more, appropriately, WTF? Didn't Israel JUST release 455 palestinian prisoners? How many more you want Mashaal? Be specific, fool.
Well he can't be specific because it will never happen. Israel could empty their prisons and Shalit, the kidnapped IDF soldier, will not come home. I don't mean to be so pessimistic but there's two reasons for my negative outlook here:

1. First, you are dealing with savages, sub humans in Hamas. You can't negotiate with them, you cannot trust them, you can only kill them.
2. The World has NEVER stood up for Gilad Shalit. The World was OUTRAGED when the Saudi girl was raped and then was to be put on trial...but when Shalit, was taken and has been held prisoner for all this time, the World is silent. And thus, there has been NO pressure put on Hamas from anyone.

Solution? I'd like to see a prisoner exchange between Hamas and Israel. Israel get Shalit back while Hamas gets Mashaal back. That's right - kidnap this swine out of Damascus and offer up the trade. That will get Shalit home. Besides that, one can only hope that a tip would come in and an Israeli operation could be initiated to free the brave soldier.

The snippet from YNET is here.

Mashaal: We'll free Gilad Shalit only if Israel frees Palestinian prisoners

Hamas politburo chief Khaled Mashaal said Friday that kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Ghalit will be set free only if Israel agrees to free Palestinian prisoners in exchange.

"The matter of the prisoners bloodies our heart," he said, but did not give further details. Mashaal spoke in a Damascus gathering marking the organization's 20th anniversary. (AP)
