How lame is this demand? Britain's new Prime Minister Gordon Brown who sent every single of appeasement before and after taking over for Tony Blair, now stands up and demands that Iraqi militants release Brit hostages taken last May. I'm sure the islamists are really shaking in their boots, Gordon.
Good old "Cream Puff" Brown's first major action in Iraq was to have all of the Brit troops in Basra turn tail and run to the outskirts of the city so they could "watch."
So now, Prime Minister Brown feels some heat about the hostages still being held and he tries to bluff two pair when he doesn't own a pair himself.
Appeasement and caving has ensured these hostages are going to be in the hands of the miltants for a long time, Prime Minister, and that is your doing. You want the hostages back? Then grow a pair and start planning some action to GET them back.

Free Iraq hostages, Brown demands
Prime Minister Gordon Brown has demanded the immediate release of five Britons being held hostage in Iraq.He promised the Government would do "everything in our power" to secure the freedom of the four security guards and one computer expert who were kidnapped in Baghdad in May.Their abductors recently released a video of one of the men, threatening to kill the captives unless British troops withdrew from the country.Mr Brown said in a statement: "They will not change our policy in any way." He added: "We are demanding the immediate release" of the hostages.
He added that policy in any case "has been to move from combat to overwatch" in southern Iraq. Mr Brown added: "I want the hostage takers to accept their responsibility, to understand the consequences of what they are doing, to make possible the immediate release of the hostages, to allow them to come home at the earliest opportunity."
