This just happened in Mosul, Iraq as the police headquarters there was bombarded by at least five car bombs and even rockets were lobbed into the building. Of the 24 killed in the coordinated al Qaeda attack, most of the dead are police and/or soldiers.I'm guessing that the death toll on this is going to go way higher than 24.

BAGHDAD - Five car bombs, including several detonated by suicide attackers, and rockets hit a police headquarters in the Iraqi city of Mosul on Monday, killing at least 24 people, mostly policemen and soldiers, police and medical sources said.
Iraq is facing a surge in violence officials blame on al-Qaida's local wing and Sunni Islamist insurgents determined to drag the country into a sectarian civil war.
