Report: Polish foreign minister calls U.S. ties worthless

There are very few countries that have been hosed as bad by Barack Obama and his merry band of gay fascists than Poland.  Poland enjoyed success, prosperity and most importantly, security in the shadow of Mother Russia under George W. Bush but the Muslim-in-Chief has hated all conservative eastern European countries and has done just about everything to add them to Russia's new fold.

Anyway, it's refreshing to see a world leader call Obama out for what he is.

The story comes from (unbelievably) The Washington Post.

Report: Polish foreign minister calls U.S. ties worthless

WARSAW — A Polish magazine said Sunday that it has obtained recordings of a private conversation in which Radek Sikorski, Poland’s foreign minister, says the country’s strong alliance with the United States was worthless and “even harmful because it creates a false sense of security.”

A person identified as Radek Sikorski also allegedly criticized Poles as naive in a conversation with a former finance minister, according to a short transcript of the talk cited by Wprost — the latest revelation by the magazine to rattle Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s government.

The Foreign Ministry declined to comment, but did not deny that Sikorski made the remarks. Malgorzata Kidawa-Blonska, a government spokeswoman, said officials would comment only after the recording is published in full.

Wprost has only provided excerpts of the conversation, which it said was recorded in the spring. The magazine has said the sound files will be published Monday or Tuesday.

Using vulgar language and expletives, Sikorski argued that the Polish-U.S. alliance could alienate two key neighbors of Poland, Russia and Germany.

“The Polish-American alliance isn’t worth anything. It is even harmful because it creates a false sense of security for Poland,” the person said. “. . . The problem in Poland is that we have shallow pride and low self-esteem.”

Wprost last week set off a political storm with the release of a recording of a conversation between central bank head Marek Belka and Interior Minister Bartlomiej Sienkiewicz. In the recording, the two discussed how the bank could help the governing party win reelection in 2015, an apparent violation of the bank’s independence.

Sikorski has strongly criticized Russian actions in neighboring Ukraine this year. In the past, he was a strong supporter of the United States.

But he has become more critical of Washington in recent years, especially after President Obama’s attempted “reset” of ties with Russia in 2009 and the subsequent scaling down of the U.S. missile defense plan for Poland and other parts of Eastern Europe. Amid the recent violence in Ukraine, Sikorski has been calling for a substantial U.S. troop presence on Polish soil.

He has also been widely mentioned as a possible successor to Catherine Ashton as the European Union’s foreign policy chief. Poland officially put him forward as a candidate last month.

Wprost has not revealed the source of the recordings, other than to say that they were obtained from a businessman who did not make them. In Poland, secretly recording a conversation is a crime.

Why Does Obama Hate the Polish People?

A great article over here at Israel National News that shows how the Poles have raked Obama over the coals for the President's idiotic and erroneous statements about "Polish death camps" in Poland during the reign of the Nazis.  It's nice to see how the Polish officials are standing up for themselves:

Poland slapped President Barack Obama for “ignorance and incompetence” for referring to a "Polish death camp,” one of a string of previous White House insults to Poland. His spokesman said President Obama “misspoke.”

“For a U.S. administration that likes to boast of ‘smart power,’ this was an act of staggering historical ignorance as well as crass insensitivity.”

But, as the article points out, Barack Hussein Obama has had a defined litany of attacks on Poland since he took power in 2009.  Here's some examples, from the article, of how Obama has targeted Poland:

However, the “Polish death camp” comment is not the first time President Obama has insulted Poland, wrote London Guardian’s Nile Gardiner.

“In 2010 he chose to play golf on the day of the funeral of the Polish President Lech Kaczynski, the Polish First Lady, and 94 senior officials who perished in the Smolensk air disaster,” he wrote.

Gardner also stated that President Obama previously has “humiliated Warsaw by pulling out of the agreement over Third Site missile defense installations in Poland and the Czech Republic.”

The writer added, “Six millions Poles died at the hands of Nazi Germany during World War Two, including three million Polish Jews during the Holocaust. The president’s use of the term ‘Polish death camp’ is hugely insulting to the Polish people, and will reinforce the growing image across Eastern and Central Europe of an American presidency that cares little for key U.S. allies…

So, why does Obama have such a burr up his ass for the Poles?  Well, I'd put it this way - Barack Obama is a devout follower of the concept and ideology of collectivism - Obama bows to the religion of Karl Marx and nothing frustrates Barack Hussein Obama more than those countries across the world who didn't truly give Communism a real chance to flourish.  It pisses this American President off that the stupid ass Polish people wanted to rise up against their Soviet overlords and try to gain back their freedoms.  You see, "freedom" is a nasty word to Obama - it's a word that defines how stupid a people can be that they might reject the State controlling every aspect of their life.  If you do some digging, you will find that Barack Hussein Obama's hold the biggest contempt for the European countries that have fought his Marxism and that he embraces those countries that have continued down the path of Marxism.

By the way, do you REALLY think the President misspoke? Do you think the people writing that speech for him made a simple error in phrasing "Polish death camps?"

Poland Slaps Obama’s ‘Ignorance’ for ‘Polish Death Camp’ Remark

Poland slapped President Barack Obama for “ignorance and incompetence” for referring to a "Polish death camp,” one of a string of previous White House insults to Poland. His spokesman said President Obama “misspoke.”

In a ceremony in which he awarded the Medal of Freedom to 13 people, the president cited the late Polish resistance fighter Jan Karski, who died in 2000.

“Before one trip across enemy lines, resistance fighters told him that Jews were being murdered on a massive scale and smuggled him into the Warsaw Ghetto and a Polish death camp to see for himself. Jan took that information to President Franklin Roosevelt, giving one of the first accounts of the Holocaust and imploring to the world to take action,” President Obama said.

Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski fired off an angry complaint that the president should have called it a "German death camp in Nazi-occupied Poland.”

National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor replied, "The president misspoke. He was referring to Nazi death camps in Poland. We regret this misstatement, which should not detract from the clear intention to honor Mr. Karski and those brave citizens who stood on the side of human dignity in the face of tyranny."

The White House hurriedly noted that the president has repeatedly discussed the bravery of Poles during World War II.

The president’s use of the term ‘Polish death camp’ is hugely insulting to the Polish people, and will reinforce the growing image across Eastern and Central Europe of an American presidency that cares little for key U.S. allies…

“For a U.S. administration that likes to boast of ‘smart power,’ this was an act of staggering historical ignorance as well as crass insensitivity.”

Polish President Killed In Plane Crash In Russia, At Least 80 Dead

Horrible, horrible news for the great people of Poland today as the President of Poland, Lech Kaczynski, was killed amongst many others, including other top Polish officials, in a horrendous plane crash as the Polish aircraft was landing in the Russian city of Smolensk.

From the article at Yahoo News UK:

Polish President Lech Kaczynski and scores of other people were killed Saturday when the president's plane crashed on landing in the western Russian city of Smolensk, officials said.

The Smolensk regional governor, Sergei Antufiev, said the plane clipped treetops as it approached to land at an airport outside Smolensk and crashed, breaking into several pieces.

Officials in Warsaw confirmed that Kaczynski was aboard the plane that crashed and Russian television broadcast video shot earlier Saturday of the president and his wife boarding the plane in Warsaw.
Polish foreign ministry spokesman Piotr Pszkowski said that the army chief of staff and Deputy Foreign Minsiter Andrzej Kremer were also on board the plane.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev immediately appointed Prime Minister Vladimir Putin as the head of a commission to investigate the crash and sent Russia's emergency situations minister, Sergei Shoigu, to the site.
First of all, I want to extend my most heartfelt sympathy to the freedom-loving Polish readers I have here at Holger Awakens. You have lost a great man today and a true leader of freedom. A true ally to the American people.

Now, with that said, I can't help but be skeptical about this crash and to put Putin in charge of the investigation is like putting Ted Bundy in charge of a beauty contest.

At the same time, this has to be a concern for many. As you saw above, not only was the President of Poland killed but also the army chief of staff. This all comes at a time when the U.S. has gone back on its word to protect Poland with a missile defense system and at the same time, Barack Hussein Obama has entered into agreements with Russia to reduce nuclear weapons capabilities. The fact of the matter is this - the relationship between Poland and America, once as strong as they come, has been strained ever since the American people put a Marxist in the White House. Barack Hussein Obama wasn't in power more than a couple of weeks before he totally pissed off the Polish President. I'm sure Obama's condolences to the Polish people will be brief and not heartfelt.

One can only hope that the Polish government has a lion or two to step into these big shoes or that country's very freedom may be at risk. No, this isn't chicken little type rhetoric here - this is the reality of a nation that lost so much to free itself from the domination and tyranny of Communism and today sits perilously close to losing its freedom - it has a hungry bear to its East and a conspirator in the White House to its West.

Polish president killed in plane crash: officials

Polish President Lech Kaczynski and scores of other people were killed Saturday when the president's plane crashed on landing in the western Russian city of Smolensk, officials said.

The Smolensk regional governor, Sergei Antufiev, said the plane clipped treetops as it approached to land at an airport outside Smolensk and crashed, breaking into several pieces.

Russian television broadcast live footage showing the plane's wreckage scattered in a forest with parts of it still on fire.

Russian news agencies reported there were at least 80 people aboard the plane -- some reports said there were as many as 132 people on board -- and Antufiev said no one had survived.

"It clipped the tops of the trees, crashed down and broke into pieces," the governor of the Smolensk region, Sergei Antufiev, told Russia-24 television news network by telephone from Smolensk.

"There were no survivors."

The television pictures showed the plane broken into many pieces, including engines and a huge chunk of the plane's vertical stabilizer caked in mud, strewn over a large area in forest that was blanketed with fog.

Firefighters were dousing water on portions of the plane that were still ablaze while groups of security personnel in camouflage uniforms and clusters of investigators in civilian clothes inspected the wreckage.

The Russian foreign ministry told Interfax news agency that the plane had crashed in heavy fog.

The aircraft crashed a few hundred metres short of the runway at the Severny airport outside Smolensk, ITAR-TASS news agency reported, quoting rescuers at the site.

The flight data recorders of the plane had not yet been located but experts were on the scene and the search for them was under way, ITAR-TASS said.

Kaczynski, the identical twin brother of former prime minister Jaroslaw, was on his way to attend commemorative ceremonies at the forest of Katyn in western Russia where 22,000 Poles were killed by Soviet troops 70 years ago.

The crash of his plane occurred three days after Putin and his Polish counterpart, Donald Tusk, together attended a memorial for the victims of the massacre at Katyn.

The Putin-Tusk meeting there was seen as a huge symbolic advance in Russia's often thorny relations with Poland.

Taliban Behead Polish Hostage THEN Ask For Ransom

Okay, no one has ever accused the Taliban of being rocket scientists but today's act pretty much takes the cake. The Taliban in Pakistan have been holding a Polish citizen as a hostage...so they decided to behead this poor guy and after the cowardly act, that is when the Taliban decided that they will ask for their ransom demands - the freeing of Taliban prisoners....oh, what does the Pakistani government get in exchange? - the headless body of the dead Pole. Now, let me make this perfectly clear, I am not making light of the death of this Polish citizen - it truly infuriates me and I have blogged here about what a superb ally of America, Poland has been and still is...but there are times when one simply has to question the grey matter inside the heads of these Taliban jihadists. Here's some of the details from Reuters:

Taliban fighters beheaded a Polish hostage in Pakistan Saturday, according to a spokesman for the militants who said the body wouldn't be handed over until some captured Taliban were released.
Speaking in Germany, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said his government had received "unofficial confirmation" Piotr Stancza, an engineer and a father of one, had been killed.
"We do not have a solid proof but we have received unofficial confirmation that this tragedy indeed took place," Tusk told reporters in Munich in comments broadcast live on Polish TV.
The Taliban spokesman, identified only as Mohammed, told Reuters Stancza, 42, was killed because Pakistani authorities failed to free the militants before a deadline expired at midnight Friday.
"We have killed the man after authorities refused to release our colleagues," the Taliban spokesman told Reuters. "We will now only hand over his body after our demands are met."
Personally, I would like to see the Taliban adopt another change in normal terroristic strategy - specifically sending their suicide bombers out into the middle of deserted fields to blow themselves up. That would show the world!

Taliban say behead Polish hostage in Pakistan

KOHAT, Pakistan (Reuters) - Taliban fighters beheaded a Polish hostage in Pakistan Saturday, according to a spokesman for the militants who said the body wouldn't be handed over until some captured Taliban were released.
He said Stanza was executed in the south Waziristan tribal region, a known haven for Taliban and Al Qaeda fighters.
An intelligence official in the region, who requested anonymity, said the Taliban had demanded 200,000 rupees ($2,540) in exchange for the body.
Officials were unable to verify the Taliban claim, and the two principal hostage negotiators handling Stancza's case could not be reached for comment.
Speaking on the sidelines of a security conference in Munich, Prime Minister Donald Tusk told reporters:
"We have used every opportunity to avert this."
Stancza was kidnapped on September 28 while visiting one of his company's sites near Attock city, about 65 km (40 miles) west of the capital, Islamabad.
Gunmen shot dead his Pakistani driver, bodyguard and translator before taking him hostage.
Militants had demanded 60 of their comrades should be freed, but later cut their demand to four of their top men and negotiations have intensified over the past 10 days.

Russia: Barack Obama's First Real Test

Sure, there are many hotspots of crisis in this world at the time that B. Hussein Obama takes over as U.S. President next month - Iran nukes, Israel-Hamas ceasefire has ended, Iraq War, War in Afghanistan...but the Russians apparently have decided to dangle a carrot to test the temperatures of the Obama waters. Today, a Russian general basically said that if the U.S. abandons the defensive shield weapons systems in eastern Europe, Russia would cancel its plans for more strategic missile systems. Here's some of the details from Breitbart:

A senior Russian general said Friday the military will cut some weapons programs if the United States drops its missile defense plans, a news agency reported.
The Interfax news agency quoted Col.-Gen. Nikolai Solovtsov as saying that the Russian armed forces wouldn't need some prospective strategic weapons if the new U.S. administration changes its mind about deploying missile defense sites in Europe.
"Several expensive programs will simply become unnecessary for us," said Solovtsov, the chief of Russia's Strategic Missile Forces.
Solovtsov didn't elaborate, but he has said earlier that Russia plans to modernize its intercontinental ballistic missiles to protect them from space-based components of the U.S. missile defense system.
Other Russian officials have previously boasted about prospective new warheads capable of making sharp maneuvers to dodge missile defense systems.
Solovtsov's statement was the latest expression of the Kremlin's hope that President-elect Barack Obama may reverse the Bush administration plan to build missile defense sites in Poland and the Czech Republic.

One thing that Obama is going to find out when he becomes President in January is that he won't have the luxury of ducking his response to gauntlets thrown out like this - in most major foreign policy stand offs in the past year, Obama has consistently been the LAST one to voice an opinion and quite frankly, hasn't even offered up an answer to offers like this. Well, I will be intrigued to see what Obama does with this Russian offer.

Will he throw the Poles and the Czechs under the same bus that his preacher and his terrorist buddy got thrown? Will he give in to the Russians? Or will he show some backbone out of the gates and tell the Russians to take their blackmail efforts and stuff em up their ass? We'll know the answer to this probably before any other situation.

Russia to cut arms if US drops missile defense

MOSCOW (AP) - A senior Russian general said Friday the military will cut some weapons programs if the United States drops its missile defense plans, a news agency reported.

Solovtsov's statement was the latest expression of the Kremlin's hope that President-elect Barack Obama may reverse the Bush administration plan to build missile defense sites in Poland and the Czech Republic.
Russia has fiercely opposed the plan and promised to deploy missiles next to Poland if the U.S. goes ahead. Russian leaders have dismissed the U.S. claims that the missile shield was aimed to counter a missile threat from Iran, saying it damages Russia's security.

Advice To Obama: STAY OFF THE BLOODY PHONE!

President-elect Barack Hussein Obama apparently can't keep his ass off the phone with world leaders until he actually IS President of the United States. For the second time in less than two weeks, Obama has made a fool of himself and has had to rely upon his aides to come to the rescue to downplay his conversations and promises.

The latest gaffe is a call that Obama made to Afghan President Karzai in which Obama is said to have offered more aid to Afghanistan. Look at the article excerpts here from CNN that show what Mr. I'veGotMyFootInMyMouth has done now:

President-elect Barack Obama has assured Afghan President Hamid Karzai the U.S. will send more aid and pay more attention to his war-torn country, according to Karzai's office.
However, Obama aides said the Saturday call did not include specific promises.

But two aides in Obama's transition office downplayed the significance of the call.
Obama told Karzai he "looked forward to working together on Afghan security after January 20," according to one aide, but the incoming president stressed that "until then there is one president, and it is President Bush."
Ridiculous. It was just two weeks ago that Obama's big mouth created the controversy after his conversation with the Polish President. Here's what came from that from the article at the Washington Times:

President-elect Barack Obama's private conversation with Poland's president created an international disagreement Saturday, with President Lech Kaczynski saying Mr. Obama promised to continue a missile-defense system and the transition office saying the Democrat made no such commitment.

And many were worried about the moronic things that Vice President-elect Biden would say? First off, Obama needs to come to grips that HE ISN'T PRESIDENT YET. Secondly, he has to get some schooling that he, as President, isn't in charge of approving further aid to Afghanistan - that is the Congress' role. And finally, someone needs to rope this buffoon in before he pisses off another world leader before he's even in office.

This is the guy that ran on the idea that he would make all of the world love the U.S.A. again and in the span of two weeks, he's already pissed off two major allies of our country.

Karzai: Obama promises Afghanistan more aid

KABUL, Afghanistan (CNN) -- President-elect Barack Obama has assured Afghan President Hamid Karzai the U.S. will send more aid and pay more attention to his war-torn country, according to Karzai's office.

However, Obama aides said the Saturday call did not include specific promises.
Karzai's office said Obama told him the United States was committed to helping the people of Afghanistan and bringing peace and stability to the country.
The Afghan president again congratulated Obama on his election and told him that he hoped his presidency would lead to prosperity for the American people, his office said.
But two aides in Obama's transition office downplayed the significance of the call.
Obama told Karzai he "looked forward to working together on Afghan security after January 20," according to one aide, but the incoming president stressed that "until then there is one president, and it is President Bush."

Obama takes office on January 20.
The incoming administration continues to be careful to show they are not stepping on the White House's toes or making any promises to world leaders.
The transition aide also noted that Obama was returning a congratulatory call from Karazi, so the incoming president did not initiate the call.

In an interview with CNN last July, Obama criticized Karzai's government, saying it "has not gotten out of the bunker and helped organize Afghanistan and (the) government, the judiciary, police forces, in ways that would give people confidence."
A week after that interview, Obama met with Karzai in Kabul.

Polish Troops Step Up To Plate, Take Over Tough Province In Afghanistan

This is pretty cool. American troops have been able to leave Ghazni province in Afghanistan to go the volatile border area of eastern Pakistan because 1,600 Polish troops have now taken repsonsibility for Ghazni. Here's some of the details from Reuters:

Polish troops took command of security in the Afghan province of Ghazni on Thursday, a volatile area just two hour's drive southwest of Kabul where Taliban militants are gaining influence.
About 1,600 Polish troops have now taken control of Ghazni, freeing up U.S. forces to take on Taliban militants elsewhere in the eastern sector which includes the porous Pakistani border from where insurgents infiltrate into Afghanistan.

Now, we have documented how wishy washy some of the NATO countries have been in their support of the War in Afghanistan, but let's look at how Poland's defense minister depicts this take over by Polish troops:

"Poland is taking over responsibility for security and development as well as future prosperity of Ghazni province. We are ready to do it and we are dedicated to do it well for the benefit of out hosts," Polish Defence Minister Bogdan Klich told troops at the change of command ceremony.

So, here we have little Poland, stepping up to the plate in Ghazni, while we still see Germany basking in relative quiet in the northern part of Afghanistan and in no hurry to volunteer help to the southern part of the country. And why is it that Poland has stepped up? Well, I think it is two fold. First, I think the Polish people are too familiar with the oppression they felt at the hands of the Soviets and they see the same oppressive nature of the Taliban. Secondly, Poland remembers what America has done for that country and they believe in reciprocity.

The Poles are going to have a rough go in Ghazni and they will lose soldiers there but at a time when countries are wimping out in the fight against terror and the Taliban, it's refreshing to see the people of Poland stand tough and committed.

Polish troops take charge of tough Afghan province

GHAZNI, Afghanistan, Oct 30 (Reuters) - Polish troops took command of security in the Afghan province of Ghazni on Thursday, a volatile area just two hour's drive southwest of Kabul where Taliban militants are gaining influence.
About 1,600 Polish troops have now taken control of Ghazni, freeing up U.S. forces to take on Taliban militants elsewhere in the eastern sector which includes the porous Pakistani border from where insurgents infiltrate into Afghanistan.
"Poland is taking over responsibility for security and development as well as future prosperity of Ghazni province. We are ready to do it and we are dedicated to do it well for the benefit of out hosts," Polish Defence Minister Bogdan Klich told troops at the change of command ceremony.
The United States has made repeated appeals for its NATO allies to send more troops to Afghanistan and allow those there to engage in combat missions without restrictions that some European nations place on their soldiers.
Poland and France have made the most significant response, with Polish troops agreeing to take responsibility for Ghazni and Paris sending 700 extra French troops to a valley in the east which is a stronghold of Taliban allies. Both France and Poland place no restrictions on their troops in the east.
HARD TASK
Some 1,200 troops moved into Ghazni four months ago under U.S. command and have repeatedly come under fire since then.
In the last six months of their tour, which began in another eastern province, Polish troops have been in combat 600 times and have been hit by more than 100 improvised explosive devices. Six Polish soldiers have been killed and 20 wounded, their outgoing commander said.
The Polish troops have brought in a number of helicopter gunships as well as their own transport aircraft, but they have a tough task ahead of them.
Ghazni, the former capital of the 11th century Ghaznavid Empire which stretched from the Caspian Sea to India, is a strategic city astride the main road from the capital, Kabul, to the southern city of Kandahar, and also routes towards Pakistan.
