Why Do You Suppose America's Communists Want To Double the Number of 4 Year Olds In Pre-school Next Year?

The fact of the matter is that the Communists of America can claim their biggest success in the indoctrination of our children over the past number of decades and it's only natural that they want their hands on your kids even earlier in life so Barack Obama and the other Bolsheviks are setting things up so that the nation's four year old children are the latest crop of future Marxist sheep.

The story comes from Family Security Matters.

Obama's Education Secretary Duncan: Pre-School is Better Than Grandma

Duncan and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius attended the event to urge support for President Barack Obama's 2014 budget request to double the number of four-year-olds in pre-school nationwide from 1.1 million to 2.2 million over the next decade, the Washington Post reported.

Obama is also proposing $15 million more for infants and toddlers and home visitations, according to Duncan.

"Two different challenges that I think we have to face," Duncan said. "One that [HHS Secretary] Kathy [Sebelius] talked about is sometimes you have a cultural piece where people are scared to put their kids in more formal care and they prefer, you know, to do the grandmother, the neighbor, whatever.

"And so how we communicate very directly with families and churches and non-profits to make sure if we build it they will come, there's some work we need to do there," Duncan said.

Sebelius said pre-school could make Hispanic children “culturally comfortable” with entering public schools as kindergartners.

“Making sure that families are culturally comfortable with the kind of environments that they’re going to hit at a school level and that they feel welcome, know how to participate and know how to support their kids,” Sebelius said.

Duncan said work was needed on “how we challenge some of the cultural hesitation” of Hispanic parents.

American Education: Rotting the Country from the Inside

In my opinion, it will take 50 plus years for us to regain a conservative hold back on this country and to turn things around from the Leftist agenda of the past century.  Yeah, 50 years.  But you might as well make that 100 years or NEVER if we don't correct the insanity of the public education system in this country.  Until we rip the indoctrination of our children out of the hands of the Bill Ayers and the other revolutionary Communists in this land, we will never regain our place in the world.

This is an excellent recap of an interview from over at The American Thinker.

American Education: Rotting the Country from the Inside

The day after Barack Obama's re-election, unrepentant terrorist-turned-"education reformer" Bill Ayers posted an open letter to the president on his blog, focused on educational matters. Specifically, it was a straw man-filled plea to resist private influences in public education, in the names (naturally) of "freedom" and "democracy."

Perfectly echoing his intellectual forbear, John Dewey, Ayers tells Obama that "[w]hen the aim of education and the sole measure of success is competitive, learning becomes exclusively selfish, and there is no obvious social motive to pursue it." (See my discussion of Dewey's near-identical remarks, and their meaning, here.)

Ayers even concludes his post by citing his hero by name. Reminding Obama of the progressive University of Chicago Laboratory Schools, where Ayers, Obama, and "your friend Rahm Emanuel" all sent their own children, he urges Obama to universalize this schooling through the public system, and concludes:

Good enough for you, good enough for the privileged, then it must be good enough for the kids in public schools everywhere -- a standard to be aspired to and worked toward. Any other ideal for our schools, in the words of John Dewey who founded the school you chose for your daughters, "is narrow and unlovely; acted upon it destroys our democracy."

In a typical leftist projection, Ayers, one of America's foremost living experts on the methods of destroying a democracy, argues that only by following his prescription may democracy be saved. And, in a perfect parallel of the modern progressive ratchet, in which government causes a problem through regulation and then advocates more regulation as the solution to the problem, Ayers responds to the death of education under the hundred-year influence of Dewey ("the father of modern education") by proposing to salvage the public schools by infesting them with even more Deweyism.

And make no mistake about one point: Ayers is invoking Dewey not merely as a respectable cover for his subversive agenda. Deweyism is his subversive agenda. Ayers and his fellow "reformers" are to Dewey what Lenin was to Marx. Marx was an intellectual who wished to undermine Western civilization. Lenin was a thug who sought to bring Marxist principles into full practice through propaganda, armed revolution, and sophisticated lies. Likewise, Dewey hated American liberty and individualism and wished to undermine them through socialist education. Ayers is Dewey's less civilized, more "practically minded" disciple.

Having laid the groundwork regarding the methods and goals of Ayers and the Weather Underground (WU) in Part 1 of this interview with Larry Grathwohl, we turn now to the significance of this radicalism in today's terms, particularly with regard to modern education.

DJ: Several members of WU and SDS, most famously Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, but also Howard Machtinger and others, have become prominent childhood education and "children's rights" activists and theorists. What do you make of this?

LG: Having failed to accomplish their goal of destroying capitalism and U.S. imperialism when they went underground and began their strategic sabotage, it is my belief that they decided to accomplish this goal by infiltrating the educational system and using it to their own [ends]. Reflecting on this, it is obvious that Bill Ayers, as an example, has been a professor of education and thus has been teaching our teachers for at least three or four generations. As you pointed out in your article, "Good News: You May Be Spared Execution," the result of this has been that many students and individuals have been educated to believe that the United States is an evil empire and should be punished if not eliminated. This means that many will simply give up and comply with whatever the future may hold or impose upon them when people like Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn are able to succeed in their ultimate goal of the destruction of the U.S.

So it is my conclusion that what the WU failed to accomplish when they went underground and began their strategic sabotage is now being accomplished through the educational system and the political means that they have gained by supporting such people as Barack Obama and his Chicago supporters. I tell people today that we are losing our freedoms because of the attacks that emerge from the left and are targeted on all of our basic societal organizations. God is eliminated from the classroom; the history of our country is no longer being taught, but rather a revised edition which depicts our people and our nation as enemies of the world and of all that is good and right. This includes church, religion, veterans, educational institutions, and any organization that supports the greatness of our country and the strength of its institutions.

Presently, our president tells us that there is no economic problem, that the national debt is not something to be concerned about, and that the Constitution is outdated and needs to be replaced or at least revised. And because of this educational problem, there are people who no longer know what the Constitution is or the reasons for its existence, so how can these people be expected to defend it? This has been accomplished through control of the classrooms and through the constant political babble that the left puts out and that people are simply unprepared to defend [against].

DJ: What would you say to Democrats, Republicans, and academics who point to Ayers's years of "academic respectability" as an argument against identifying him with the statements or actions of his radical days?

LG: Bill Ayers has never apologized for or recanted on the goals of the WU from the 1970s and '80s. Furthermore, he has stated that his only regret was that the WU didn't do enough. There are pictures of him leaving the courthouse when he was exonerated for his crimes while part of the WU and he states, "[G]uilty as hell, free as a bird, isn't America wonderful?" Bill and Bernardine have continued their political activities in regards to their support for the Occupy Wall Street movement, in which Bill has led classes on how to disrupt and defy authority. Bill and Bernardine have participated in the activities of Code Pink, which has been involved in the Middle East and in creating the turmoil in that part of the world. ...

Bill Ayers has not changed his ways, has not changed his goals or his objectives. He is now traveling around the country, giving talks to people, telling them that they are very close to changing this country and making it into what he wants it to be and that they should not give up at this point. He also tells them that they cannot completely depend upon Barack Obama to create this new order and that they must not fail because they are so very close to accomplishing their mission of changing America forever.

DJ: Would you willingly allow your own child to attend a school or school board in which the teachers were trained, and the educational goals set, by Ayers, Machtinger, or likeminded others? If not, why not?

LG: My answer to this question is no. Absolutely not. I want my children and grandchildren to be educated in a way that they have the ability to make up their own minds about issues without having been indoctrinated into the Bill Ayers way of thinking. It is my belief that teachers today are more interested in teaching social resistance rather than reading, writing, and arithmetic. The result is that we have a tremendous number of young people who are unable to read or write, or add and subtract. They are, however, very capable of protesting when they think that their individual rights have been imposed upon [and] feel that they are being punished if they have to do homework and learn the basic precepts of our country and our government. In many cases they don't even know that the Constitution exists, and if they do, they are taught that this is a document written by old white men 200 years ago and that it is meaningless in today's world.

I encourage people to send their children to private or parochial schools, and if this is not possible, they should home-educate their children in order to assure that they learn the true history of America and the necessary tools to be a good citizen and be able to contribute and to succeed in our society.

Author's note: There are a hundred compelling reasons for removing your children and grandchildren from the public schools, regardless of any practical or financial inconveniences this may cause you. If the one you have just heard from Larry Grathwohl -- that the progressive revolutionary intentions and methods of Bill Ayers are being woven into the mainstream of modern education, in effect establishing the re-education camps of the WU's hopes -- is not forceful enough to move you, then I give up.

Obama's "Organizing For America" Given Access To Voter Registration Drive At Florida Schools, GOP Forbidden

Ah yes, the schools....the PUBLIC schools....the spawning grounds for the next decades Marxist socialists never fails to push the envelope for abusing the public trust as a group from Obama's "Organizing for America" were allowed into half a dozen Florida schools to register students to vote for Obama but access to Republicans was denied.  And now the Florida school folks are saying they were illegally duped by the Obamaites.

Duped?  Oh sure.  The Obama agenda IS the public school agenda.  After all it's all about Obama, right?  Oh oops....I meant....."it's all about the kids!"

The story comes from Family Security Matters.

School Lets Dems Register Students to Vote, But Not GOP

Florida Republicans are outraged after a school district allowed a pro-Obama organization to conduct student voter registration drives and deliver speeches to classes - but denied the Romney campaign similar opportunities.

Pasco County Schools confirmed to Fox News that volunteers from Organizing For America were given access to as many as a half dozen high school and middle school campuses.

"They did register students to vote," spokesman John Mann told Fox News. "We don't know how many children were registered - (but) we have an ongoing investigation."

According to email correspondence obtained by Fox News, volunteers tried to infiltrate at least three other school campuses - but on-campus officials rebuffed those efforts.

In addition to voter registration, a former teacher was allowed to deliver Obama speeches to a number of senior high school students.

"She got into six classrooms and gave pro-Obama speeches - like way off to the left," said James Mathieu, general counsel for the Pasco County Republican Party. "That got out to parents and parents complained."

Matthieu told Fox News he has filed a complained with the Florida Division of Elections and also contacted the Florida Attorney General's office.

"We have a liberal culture in our school system and we know that," he told Fox News. "The problem is someone has used false credentials, false pretenses and there is a security issue."

Mathieu said that some of the Organizing for America volunteers identified themselves to school officials as being with the local elections office.

"These people have used false pretense to get into the high schools and all they're giving us is whitewash and lip service," he said.

But Mann told Fox News that to his knowledge none of the volunteers misrepresented themselves.

"They identified themselves as being with Organizing For America," he said.

However, according to an email obtained by Fox News - school officials acknowledged there may have been some deceit.

"In at least one case, those individuals said they were from the Pasco Supervisor of Elections Office," wrote staff member Paula Lesko. "Unfortunately the SOE said that is not the case."

So why did school officials allow a partisan organization to mingle with students?

“That will come out in our final investigation,” Mann said.

Another significant issue was the former teacher’s pro-Obama address. Local Republicans asked for equal access. At first, school officials agreed – but later reversed their decision.

“There was definitely discussion of having a Republican come in for equal access,” Mann told Fox News. “We’re not going in that direction because that would indeed be an additional violation of board policy.

Organizing For America apologized to the school district, the Tampa Bay Times reported. And the volunteer who delivered the pro-Obama speeches has been dismissed.

A similar incident occurred in Pinellas County when a high school principal invited students to volunteer for the Obama campaign.

Reuben Hepburn, the principal at Dunedin High School, made an announcement over the public address system about volunteer opportunities with the Obama campaign and Organizing for America, The Tampa Bay Times reported.

A school spokesperson said the incident came to light after a parent complained.

“The mistake there was that (Hepburn) promoted one specific organization that supports one specific candidate,” spokesperson Melanie Marquez told the newspaper. “It’s okay to say, ‘Hey, you can volunteer for political campaigns.’ But it’s not a good idea to focus on one organization.”

What Exactly Are Your Children Learning About Islam In their School? Are You Ready For Mandatory Classes in Arabic?

This article, like Arabic language classes in some American schools, should be required reading. There just isn't much I can add to this outstanding article as it not only reveals why the majority of Arabic speaking people in America aren't Muslims (because they are Americans who are being taught to speak Arabic) but the fact that Islam is being painted in American schools as a wonderful, peaceful way of life.

The indoctrination has begun. The set up for political correctness is underway. Your children are being subjected to the brainwashing. And in most cases, I would guess none of you knew this was going on.

Read it and weep.

Arabic: "The Language Of The Future"?

During a lecture Brigitte Gabriel, the founder of ACT! For America explained that 80 percent of Arabic speaking people in the U.S. are not Muslim. The reason; when Islam and the Caliphate “conquered minorities they forced the people to speak the Arabic language because the easiest way to strip a culture from its heritage is change the language.”

We had all better go back to elementary school. Did you know that Muslims discovered America long before Columbus? That’s the way it is portrayed according to The Arab World Studies Notebook.

In a letter from October 2003 from William J. Bennetta to Stuart Elliott, Mr. Bennetta writes,

Not all of the phony "history" in the Notebook consists of religious myths. There are other flights of pseudohistorical fakery as well, including a farcical article in which Shabbas and someone called Abdallah Hakim Quick disclose that Muslims reached the New World in pre-Columbian times and spread throughout the Caribbean, Central America, South America and even Canada. By the time when Columbus arrived, it seems, the New World was fairly crawling with Muslims -- and English explorers met "Iroquois and Algonquin chiefs with names like Abdul-Rahim and Abdallah Ibn Malik."

Mr. Bennetta is the Textbook League's president and explains that he has been reviewing schoolbooks and other instructional publications for about eighteen years. He titled the letter “Arab World Studies Notebook lobs Muslim propaganda at teachers” because as he says,

“The Notebook is a vehicle for disseminating disinformation, including a multitude of false, distorted or utterly absurd claims that are presented as historical facts.”

He continues to explain in his letter, referring to one of the authors ‘Shabbas’ that “In a public-school setting, the religious-indoctrination work which Shabbas wants teachers to perform would clearly be illegal.”

As I write this article I have 27 windows of research open on my computer and I don’t even know where to begin. Each window is a different case of textbooks in American public schools, those funded with your tax dollars, in which Islam is presented solely as a peaceful and loving religion while Western civilization and Judeo-Christian traditions and values are put into question and blatantly misrepresented.

Case after case history is not just slightly changed and exaggerated, but rewritten with totally false information, lies and not one source of where or how this information was gathered.

For example in the text book “A World History: A Cultural Approach by Daniel Roselle”, is this bizarre lesson: “Wherever they went, the Moslems brought with them their love of art, beauty and learning. From about the eighth to the eleventh century, their culture was superior in many ways to that of western [sic] Christendom.”

In yet another text book from 2008 titled Global History and Geography: The Growth of Civilization, the text book describes the belief of Christianity as, “…his [Jesus’] apostles claimed that they had seen and talked with him. They believed that Jesus was indeed the Messiah and had risen from the dead, or been resurrected.” Yet on Islam it only states the following as fact, “Muhammad was the messenger of Allah.” So with Christianity it was a “claim” or “belief” but with Islam it was fact?

This has been going for years and I have written about this in the past. But now we have this, the Federal Government Foreign Language Assistance Program (FLAP), identifies Arabic as a "language of the future."

According to the article on February 8 “Flap over feds funding Arabic culture curriculum” from One News Now,

Parents in a North Texas school district are upset that they were not notified until after the fact about a plan to require all students in a couple of schools to learn Arabic culture.

Mansfield was one of five school districts in the country to receive the Foreign Language Assistance Program (FLAP) Grant, which identifies Arabic as a "language of the future." The plan reportedly involves embedding Arabic culture in all facets of school activities, from discussing the Arabic roots of the word "algebra" to serving a Middle Eastern dessert at a class party. The Mansfield classes are part of a five-year, $1.3 million federal grant.

This is much more indoctrination than it appears, according to a different article from February 9,

Arabic classes would be mandatory at an elementary and intermediate school in the district and optional at the middle and high schools.

Author and activist David Horowitz says it's absolutely outrageous that some elementary and intermediate school students will be forced to take Arabic language and culture classes in a Dallas-Fort Worth suburb.

Mandatory, yes you read that correctly. A public school district gets a 1.3 million dollar grant from the U.S. Department of Education (DOE). The DOE refers to Arabic as “the language of the future” and it isn’t enough that students will be forced to learn Arabic in a public school. They will also learn about Arabic culture.

What exactly is “Arabic culture”? Would that be Islam? How can the “culture” be taught without getting into the so called religion?

According to the Mansfield school district website,

What is the Arabic Foreign Language Assistance Program Grant?

This grant is a wonderful opportunity for the students in MISD. We have been selected as one of only five districts across the country to participate in the grant that provides Arabic studies. Arabic studies include language acquisition, culture, government, art, traditions and history. MISD has been awarded a total of $1.3 million over a five year period to promote learning. Mansfield ISD graduates will possess the language proficiency and cross cultural communication skills to compete in the 21st century. Our students will be at an advantage in an increasingly diverse and economically global society.

Under the F.A.Q. section it states,

This grant provides a sequential foreign language program from elementary through secondary levels, starting with the fundamentals at Davis Elementary.

Elementary school? Aren’t our children having enough of a problem learning the English language? Now we are going to take 100 minutes a week to teach them Arabic?

While reading an article on the Mansfield school district situation I came across a quote from Kelly Shackelford, president and CEO of Liberty Institute, Shackelford stated,

“Washington is obviously "forcing" onto a local school district something that was never part of the district's plan.”

According to the Liberty Institute website,

Liberty Institute was founded as Free Market Foundation in 1972 as a 501(c)(3) non- profit organization dedicated to protecting freedoms and strengthening families.

We added our legal division, once known as Liberty Legal Institute, in 1997. Today, we employ a team of experienced full-time Constitutional attorneys and also work with many volunteer attorneys who donate their time to help in our mission of protecting freedoms and strengthening families.

Kelly Shackelford, Esq., is president and CEO of Liberty Institute, a constitutional scholar; Mr. Shackelford has argued before the U.S. and Texas Supreme Courts and has testified before the U.S. Congress and the Texas Legislature.

He was recently named one of the 25 greatest Texas lawyers of the past quarter-century by Texas Lawyer, and is the recipient of the prestigious William Bentley Ball Award for Life and Religious Freedom Defense for his leadership and pioneering work protecting religious freedom.

We had the pleasure last Thursday evening of having Mr. Shackelford as our guest on my radio show ‘America Akbar’. I asked him how the Liberty Institute became involved in this case.

“We’re a group that focuses on basic freedoms, the founding freedoms that our country was built upon.

We represented over 5 million veterans in the Mojave Desert Cross case, we had the big battle that was covered nationwide over social studies standards that were going to be used in text books across the country where there was an attempt to really change from American exceptionalism and principles that made this country great, to a very different approach to our education and we were able to fight that back.

So when this came up I think it was a natural that people would come to us.
We’re just really glad that the parents found out about this and could do something about it because really there are a lot of issues we could talk about but the ultimate solution is when parents get involved, things are going to change.

I would just really encourage everyone to be involved in their school district and really know what’s going on, because this thing is turning around now because of parents.”

Speaking on the Mansfield Texas school district he explained that there has not been decision as of yet, but “that everything was on hold now. Instead of something that was going to be done, it is now, quote, “on hold” and the parents are going to now make the decision as to how it was going to be done.”

Mr. Shackelford explained the way this federal grant is to be used,

“When you take one hundred minutes a week, which is what this requires, away from teaching these kids fundamental things that they need to learn in education, that’s just foolishness.

It’s one thing if you want to offer an elective class when you are older, but to actually force every child to do this makes no sense.

It’s the type of thing that comes from Washington, D.C.; this is exactly why you need education to be local, to be controlled by elected officials locally who are accountable to parents.

I guarantee you that the people that came up with this brilliant idea to force on children, they’re kids weren’t in these schools. They’re back in Washington, D.C.”

Discussing some of the other mandatory requirements Mr. Shackelford explained,

“When you have requirements that not only teach the Arabic language, but the culture, the history, the traditions, the words that they use, you can’t help but teach Islam.

Now you are going to be in a serious situation of how balanced or biased this is going to be”.

Referring to school text books across the country Shackelford stated,

“We uncovered and I know the State board of education of Texas just had a big battle over this about six months ago, where they found incredibly biased text books that were being used for history all over the country, that I think 90% of Americans would just be shocked to see that it presented Christianity in a very anti light and yet, Islam very overtly positive.

Instead of presenting the works and the positives of both in an objective way, it was treated like Christianity was all about the Crusades, killing and murder and that Islam was a peaceful religion that was about lifting women’s rights. It was just bizarre to read how unbalanced it was”.

When we discussed the Federal Government being involved on a local school Shackelford had this to say,

“We don’t need the Federal government to tell us how to do local education. Look in the Constitution, there is no enumerated power that gives the federal government any authority or right to control or impact education around the country.

That is not a federal power, it is not a Constitutional power and so this kind of monkeying around gets exactly what you’ve got here; somebody from long distance that thinks they’ve come up with a great idea that they’re going to force on other people’s children.

That’s not our system of government and that’s why we never gave that kind of power to the federal government.”

When asked if he thought it would have gone differently had the parents known in advance Shackelford answered,

“The problem was, not only did not they not involve the parents, the parents had no idea. This had been done a good while back and the parents were not aware that this was happening at all and that’s the type of thing that shouldn’t happen.

The wonderful thing about our system is because we have a representative government, a democratic republic, in this case, these folks that were on the school board when this thing got out, they realized ‘uh oh’ I’m accountable to these parents and these parents are not happy.”

Explaining how large of a problem this can become Shackelford summed it up this way,

“It’s one thing to have choice, but to force this, not only to make it required, but to force this at such low levels down to the elementary school and to go beyond language and get in to understanding traditions, the history and the culture; obviously when you talk about Arabic you are talking about where in many places their government and their religion is really meshed.

When you are talking about their history and traditions you’re talking about their religion and you are going to get into some serious disagreements as to how that should be treated and how honest people should be with what’s done and you’re going to open up a hornets nest.”

What I found rather interesting is when I read the Foreign Language Assistance Program (FLAP) on the Department of Education website, specifically the requirements that need to be met; nowhere did it state that it had to be mandatory. It states,

IN GENERAL.-The Secretary is authorized to make grants, on a competitive basis, to State educational agencies or local educational agencies to pay the Federal share of the cost of innovative model programs providing for the establishment, improvement, or expansion of foreign language study for elementary school and secondary school students.

DURATION.-Each grant under paragraph (1) shall be awarded for a period of 3 years.

Nor does it say anything about the curriculum having to include the history, traditions or culture having to do with the language.

On another webpage of FLAP, I found the following schools are teaching Arabic with this grant; the school district of Dearborn, Michigan, the Mid-Prairie Community Schools in Iowa and the Wisconsin Department of Education.

It states,

The purpose of the project is to increase Arabic language proficiency and cross cultural competence for K-5th grade students.

Kindergarten, are you kidding me? Our children should be learning reading, writing and arithmetic and as far as I can remember kindergarten was playing games, nap time and simple lessons, not a foreign language.

Still think I am blowing this out of proportion or exaggerating the truth? Consider this, the website Dawanet, it explains on its Dawa in public schools page,

Definition of Dawa

Dawa means to invite non-Muslims to accept the truth of Islam. Performing Dawa involves both our words and actions.

It explains on this page how to spread the message of Islam in public schools. Some of these sections include,

Dawa through the school newspaper
Including Islamic holidays in the school calendar
Islamic books in school libraries
Scanning textbooks for misinformation on Islam
Starting an Islamic newsletter

Other Miscellaneous activities

Setting up Dawa tables with Islamic literature
Hosting Islamic exhibitions
Placing advertisements in the school paper with the toll-free telephone number for non-Muslims

How many of the above items fall into a category that is not allowed in public schools? Children today have “Winter Festival” because the word “Christmas” can no longer be used, but it is okay to “include Islamic holidays in the school calendar” or to have “Islamic books in school libraries”? Try that at your local school with a bible.

It even goes so far as to advise,

It is highly recommended that all Muslim students carry Dawa flyers in their schoolbags and purses to pass them on to their friends at school. To obtain free Islam brochures for distribution, contact the Islamic Circle of North America.

In case you were unaware, the Islamic Circle of North America was one of 29 Islamic organizations listed on the Muslim Brotherhood’s “the project for the 100-Year Plan of Global Islamist Domination” that was entered into evidence during the Holy Land Terror Trial. These 29 organizations were listed as those that were to help achieve a worldwide Islamic policy. In other words, total global Islamic or Sharia law.

The last part of the Dawa page explains what they list as “The bottom line”,

We should use every opportunity to sensitize non-Muslim peers and school staff to Islam and to establish an environment in which everywhere a non-Muslim turns, he notices Islam portrayed in a positive way, is influenced by it and eventually accepts Islam with Allah's guidance, Insha Allah (if God wills).

So this is the Islamic desire for our public schools, for our children, “is influenced by it and eventually accepts Islam”?

It seems to me we are at a time when our children can’t even pledge allegiance to the flag without parental approval and many schools no longer even have flags in the class rooms. Let’s not forget to mention, heaven forbid your child wants to pray silently to their choice of a god is not allowed either.

How is it with all these restrictions the federal government is calling Arabic “the language of the future” and the school districts that were given this grant under the FLAP program are making the study of Arabic and its culture mandatory?

While visiting the Holocaust museum “Yad Vashem” in Jerusalem I found it interesting that the way Hitler taught an entire generation to hate was by starting with the school books that taught German. We here in the U.S. have “Dick and Jane” and “See Spot run”, in WWII Germany they had “Don't Trust A Fox in A Green Meadow Or the Word of A Jew”.

It is amazing what you can teach when you start them early.

University of Illinois Professor Says "USA! USA!" Chant at Football Game Hurts the Feelings of Muslims, Is "White" Propaganda

You know, why don't people like professor David Green of the University of Illinois just go in to work tomorrow morning, grab a number of empty cardboard boxes, and simply empty out their desks, clear out their closet and leave? Why don't they then meet the movers at their home and sign off on the load of furniture place in a moving van and then head to the airport with that one way ticket for anywherebutnotAmerica? Just fucking leave, putz. You know, there really isn't any governmental force KEEPING you here, Mr. Green. Just get out - we won't miss your sorry ass one bit.

From the story over at StopTheACLU, we see how professor Green penned an angry letter after he was exposed to a "horrible" site at a football game - the unspeakable military jet flyover and then the horrific chanting of the crowd yelling "USA! USA!". Here's what David Green had to say after the event:

The vast majority of 9/11 observances in this country cannot be seen as politically neutral events. Implicit in their nature are the notions that lives lost at the World Trade Center are more valuable than lives lost in Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine and elsewhere; that the motives of the 9/11 attackers had nothing to do with genuine grievances in the Islamic world regarding American imperialism; and that the U.S. has been justified in the subsequent killing of hundreds of thousands in so-called retaliation.

The observance at Saturday’s football game was no different. A moment of silence was followed by a military airplane flyover; in between, Block-I students chanted “USA, USA.” This was neither patriotism nor remembrance in any justifiable sense, but politicization, militarism, propaganda and bellicosity. The University is a public institution that encompasses the political views of all, not just the most (falsely) “patriotic.” Athletic planners should cease such exploitation for political purposes. They might at least consider how most Muslim students, American or otherwise, would respond to this nativist display; or better, Muslims and others that live their lives under the threat of our planes, drones and soldiers.

The overwhelmingly white, privileged, Block-I students should be ashamed of their obnoxious, fake-macho, chicken-hawk chant, while poverty-drafted members of their cohort fight and die in illegal and immoral wars for the control of oil. University administrators need to eliminate from all events such “patriotic” observances, which in this country cannot be separated from implicit justifications for state-sponsored killing.

Good grief. Where do I start? Green proposes that anyone in that stadium is supposed to be focused on the feelings of muslim students there? And what the hell is this about the fact that a chant of "USA" would make muslims feel bad? Aren't they Americans? Shouldn't muslims be on their feet too....rocking with the crowd getting into the chant?

And where does this clown, this college professor, this educator who is standing each day in front of our children, get off with the insertion of the race card into his objections? He goes out of his way to point out that the crowd at the football game was "white" and "privileged." Hmmm. Let me ask you this Mr. Green. At a University of Illinois football game, there are probably close to 80,000 spectators. I'm just curious ... how did you determine that those people were "privileged?" Is it because most were white and thus all white people are privileged? Or is it because anyone that can afford the huge tuition at that University, anyone that can afford to pay the inflated salary of a college professor like you, has to be walking around with a silver spoon in their mouth?

This college professor is a perfect example of just what has to be gutted from our colleges in America. American families need to start making some sound decisions on where they send their kids - and I, for one, would be damned if I'd allow my child to sit through even one class put on by this Marxist traitor. Perhaps when the University of Illinois finds out that their enrollments are dropping like a stone, especially in the field of study put out by Mr. Green, they will come to the conclusion that no one is going to put up with this kind of extremism being imposed on our children.

Illinois Professor Says Chanting ‘USA’ is Bellicose Propaganda

Oh, you ignorant Americans with your venal patriotic chants of “USA, USA” at sporting events. Your bellicosity isn’t patriotism, it’s propaganda and lowly militarism… so says David Green, University Administrator and member of the University of Illinois Institute of Government & Public Affairs.

Green’s poisoned pen letter to American patriots was published by the Daily Illini, an “independent newspaper” at the U of I, and features every manner of attack on America.

Green’s vituperation covers the gamut of anti-Americanism: America is “imperialist,” she is unconcerned over the deaths of Muslims, America is”nativist,” and patriots are prone to “obnoxious, fake-macho, chicken-hawk” chants. In other words all that is wrong with the world is evinced in the United States of America.

The professor’s screed was short, but filled with hate for America:

Looking at the comments section finds very little support for this anti-American and not everyone at the Daily Illini are in love with this hater as an October 11 entry from 2005 shows.

But this isn’t the first time that Green went down the path of hate for the west. Green has penned many anti-American, anti-Jewish screeds over the last decade. In 2005, for instance, Green wrote a review of one of Holocaust denier Norman Finkelstein’s books that proved that Green is a supporter of Palestine Liberation Organization and is critical of the so-called Holocaust industry.

Like a well-worn hat, Green tries on the old claim that the American’s actions at abu Ghraib and “Israeli torture” are materially the same as the Nazi-generated Holocaust. In his review Green intimates that Israel perpetrates “criminal behavior” that is little different than Hitler’s.

In March Green wrote a screed on the supposed iron-fisted Israel Lobby where he also says that the U.S. is motivated solely by imperialism in its war on terror.

Green is also a member of the Champaign/Urbana chapter of Anti-War, Anti-Racism Effort and is known as a member of the Jewish Voice for Peace which absorbed Not In My Name, the latter formerly based in Chicago.

It is infuriating that this man makes his living feeding off the taxpayers of the state of Illinois. According to the CollegiateTimes.com website, Green’s 2009 salary was $36,388 of Illinois tax dollars. This is the sort of anti-American, anti-Semitic, anti-western “academic” that infests the American university system from north to south and east to west. These people are living off the taxpayers and spreading their hate every single day.

If you would like to contact Green and let him know how you feel, his office phone number is (217) 333-3231 and his email is dlgreen@illinois.edu.

America's Failing Public School System

A good article is found here at Family Security Matters that dives into the failure of America's public education system and it pulls no punches as it lays much of the reason for that failure at the feet of the teachers' unions. The article really does a good job of outlining how so many vocations in our Land contribute to the growth of our economy and our country as a whole, yet when the education system fails, it creates a domino effect of failings.

I don't make any bones about my disdain for teachers' unions. I make no bones about my disgust with public sector unions, in general. In fact, it is my opinion that all public sector unions should be banned. I see no rationale in individuals needing any sort of bargaining power when they are paid by John Q. Public.

We have seen New Jersey's Governor Christie take on the behemoth in the state ...namely the teachers' unions. We have seen the dirty tactics of these people who, not only are paid BY US, but to whom we entrust our children for 6 to 8 hours each and every day. But we have to remember, teachers' unions are run by union bosses. And just like the union bosses of the UAW who threw all rationality and caution to the wind in putting the screws to the auto makers in contract negotiations, we see the bosses of the teachers' unions continue to push for more and more from the people in this country for more and more tax monies - and all the time condoning the failure of turning out a decent product - an educated young person.

Don't kid yourself, America...those images you have of the corrupt UAW or Teamster leaders who meet in dark, smoke-filled rooms are present in the teachers' unions. These are people who lead from greed and hate.

Here's the article.

Our Failing Public Schools

There is an old adage which says that man exists in a continuum. He goes from bondage to faith, from faith to hope, from hope to courage, from courage to freedom, from freedom to abundance, from abundance to complacency, from complacency to dependency, and from dependency back to bondage.

The original author of the adage is not known, but it matters little who said it. What matters is whether or not it is an immutable truth and whether or not American “exceptionalism” might allow us to bypass the ugliest stop on that continuum. I’ve struggled with that question since the day I first heard the adage and I still don’t have a clear answer.

However, if we draw a large circle on a blackboard or a flip chart and we write the words bondage, faith, hope, courage, freedom, abundance, complacency, and dependency at intervals along the perimeter, we can demonstrate a major difference between liberals and conservatives and between Republicans and Democrats. Conservatives and Republicans operate in the bondage-faith-hope-courage-freedom-abundance segment of the circle, at which point we learn why God created liberals and Democrats. It is they who control the abundance-complacency-dependency-bondage segment of the circle.

Conservatives and Republicans are builders of freedom and the human condition; liberals and Democrats are destroyers.

We can also place ourselves anywhere in the abundance-complacency-dependency segment of the circle and try to figure out how we can avoid passing through the bondage portion of the continuum, going directly to hope, courage, etc. That is by far the most interesting exercise because when we analyze why any nation, or any group of people, would allow themselves to be taken down the road from freedom and abundance to dependency and bondage, we always arrive at the same answer. So who or what is it that stands in the way of ever-positive growth?

Is it engineers? No, engineers are innovators, designers, and builders. They spend every waking moment thinking of ways to make life simpler, easier, and safer for everyone.

Is it scientists? No, scientists spend their lives probing into the darkest recesses of the unknown, concerning themselves not only with known unknowns, but with unknown unknowns, as well. Some of their discoveries are used for potentially evil purposes, such as nuclear weapons, but the vast majority of their discoveries have a positive impact on humanity.

Is it doctors and nurses? No, medical practitioners spend their lives curing disease, easing pain and suffering, and preserving human life.

Is it lawyers, judges, policemen, fire fighters, and the military? No. While they may not produce anything of a tangible nature, as the referees and traffic cops of our society they play a vital role in protecting the best of us from the worst of us and in protecting us all from harm.

Is it farmers and ranchers? No, farmers, ranchers, and food processors spend every waking hour growing and processing the foods that are needed to support human life.

Is it blue collar workers? No, it is blue collar workers who take the things that scientists and engineers discover and turn that knowledge into practical applications. Blue collar workers are the hand tools of human progress.

With but one exception, no matter where we look in civilized society we find people who are either builders or maintainers of civil society. That exception is the field of public education. No matter which societal problem we place under the microscope, the search for a solution… or the absence thereof… always takes us back to what it is that our people know and understand. It all comes back to the public schools, teachers unions, colleges and universities.

When people cannot properly read, write, and speak the English language, they are unable to take full advantage of the freedoms that are available to them. When people are inadequately schooled in mathematics and the sciences, they are unable to participate in the advancement of science and technology and it will be difficult for them to find a niche in a highly technological world. When people fail to understand the lessons of history, they are unable to make the political judgments necessary to avoid the mistakes of the past. When people have inadequate knowledge of politics and the workings of government, they are unable to make the political decisions necessary to advance the cause of freedom. And when people have an inadequate grasp of basic economics they are unable to properly assess the impact of taxes, savings, profits, and investments.

In all of these areas of physical and intellectual endeavor, our public education system is by far our greatest failing.

In an August 11, 2010 article for Townhall.com, titled “The Left’s Special-Interest Human Shields,” columnist Michelle Malkin gives us a clue as to why our public education system is the greatest failure among all our public institutions. Clearly, what has always been an important, necessary, and highly respected profession, has been transformed into just another cesspool of leftist union activism, just another mindless, lemming-like subsidiary of the Democratic Party.

Malkin’s attitude toward schoolteachers is not unlike that of most Americans. She says, “I have nothing against public-school teachers. My mother was one. My children are taught by some of the best in the nation. And over the years, I’ve reported on valiant battles between rank-and-file educators in government schools and their fat, bloated union leaders, who’ve transformed their professional organizations into wholly owned Democratic subsidiaries. My opposition to the so-called “Edujobs” bill stems not from meanness but from compassion for millions of dues-paying school employees being used as special-interest human shields.”

Looking into the faces of the teachers at your local public elementary school or high school… the “micro” view of public education… is not the same as taking a “macro” view of the teaching profession. Malkin quotes the DC-based Labor Union Report as saying that, in 2009, the National Education Association (NEA) “raked in a whopping $355,334,165 in ‘dues and agency fees’ from (mostly) teachers around the country.” And although the NEA spent close to $11 million more than it took in, it did not short-change the political parasites who rely on it for their sustenance. The NEA still found it possible to pour $50 million into “political activities and lobbying” for exclusively left-wing and partisan Democratic causes and candidates.

So, if excellence in education is not the first priority of the teachers union, what do they see as their top priority? The NEA’s retiring top lawyer, Bob Chanin, spoke to delegates at the NEA annual meeting in July. He made no bones about what is the union’s top priority. He said:

“Despite what some among us would like to believe, it is not because of our creative ideas. It is not because of the merit of our positions. It is not because we care about children, and it is not because we have a vision of a great public school for every child. NEA and its affiliates are effective advocates because we have power. And we have power because there are more than 3.2 million people who are willing to pay us hundreds of millions of dollars in dues each year, because they believe that we are the unions that can most effectively represent them, the unions that can protect their rights and advance their interests as education employees. . . .

“This is not to say that the concern of NEA and its affiliates with closing achievement gaps, reducing dropout rates, improving teacher quality and the like are unimportant or inappropriate. To the contrary. These are the goals that guide the work we do. But they need not and must not be achieved at the expense of due process, employee rights, and collective bargaining. That simply is too high a price to pay.”

Talk about upside-down priorities. As Barack Obama’s personal hero, Saul Alinsky, has said, teacher organizers must commit to a “singleness of purpose.” Not serving the needs of parents and children, but serving the “ability to build a (political) power base.” That they have done.
The Democratic Party is comprised of (in order of importance) teachers unions (NEA and AFT), trial lawyers, public employee unions, blue collar unions (AFL-CIO), radical environmentalists, minorities (blacks and Hispanics), service employee unions (SEIU), organized street agitators (ACORN), radical feminists, gays, lesbians, and the gender-confused community.

Yet, in spite of the fact that public school teachers are now ranked as the most politically powerful special interest in the nation, and in spite of the fact that we as a nation spend more on public education per pupil than any other industrialized nation, we find that among high school students in the 30 richest nations, U.S. students rank 17th in their knowledge of the sciences and 24th in their knowledge of mathematics. Clearly, our public education system is failing to prepare our children to compete in a highly technological world. It is our weakest link. It is the anchor on our Ship of State.

Kick A Black Day!

By Findalis of Monkey in the Middle

If this happened at any school in the United States there would have been hell to pay. First of all the useful idiots in the media would have broken into their regularly scheduled news program with not only this as breaking news, but hourly updates on the condition of the victims. Each and every government official from the President on down would be commenting on this event with the President holding an kicking summit over ice cream at the White House. School officials would be fired at once with total sensitivity training and classes being taught for days. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton would be holding daily rallies in the town. Finally Maxine Waters would hold Congressional Hearings.

So why didn't anything like that happen when a Florida school allowed a 'Kick A Jew Day'?
Ten students at a Florida middle school were suspended after district officials say they participated in "kick a Jew day."

District spokesman Joe Landon says a Jewish student at North Naples Middle School reported being kicked on Thursday. The school's principal addressed the entire student body the next morning and asked for anyone with information about the alleged attack to come forward.

The district determined that 10 students should be punished. They each served one day of in-school suspension Monday.

Landon says the first 20 minutes of the school day, which is normally used for reading and tutoring, will now be used to teach students about respect, kindness and ways to prevent bullying.

No criminal charges have been filed.
I would bet you any amount of money that if the victim was black not only would charges be filed, but they would be charged as adults.

Nice school they have at North Naples Middle School. So nice that they teach the basics in education: Reading, Writing, Arithmetic, Anti-Semitism. Just the basics. You can contact them here by e-mail or phone them at 239-377-4600, their FAX is 239-377-4601. I am sure they would love to hear from you on this.

Oh and for the record, the next 'Kick A Jew Day' try kicking these Jews and see what will happen:

Chicago: 36!

by Findalis

What a number. A new record!

Is it the number of games the Chicago Cubs have lost in the last month? NO!

Is it the number of bribes any Chicago Politician took yesterday? NO!

Is it the number of seconds that Oprah went without mentioning herself, Dr. Phil, or Barack Obama? NO!

It is the number of young men and women who were gunned down this past school year. 36.
With three weeks left before summer break, a record 36 Chicago Public Schools students have been killed this school year, marking the third straight year that youth homicides have climbed into double digits. Chicago has surpassed New York City and Los Angeles for having the highest youth homicide rate in the nation.

"I think people in Chicago have almost gotten numb to the statistics," said Dexter Voisin, a researcher at the University of Chicago who studies the impact of violence on adolescents.

The latest victim in Chicago's long year of student killings is 15-year-old Alex Arellano. On May 1, he was chased, beaten with baseball bats, run over by a car, shot and burned. His body was found days after he disappeared from his family's home on the city's South Side.

Police continue to investigate the killing; gang activity has been suggested. His grieving family members have denied any gang connections and continue to look for answers.

"The homicide rate is just the tip of the iceberg," Mr. Voisin said. "Those with nonfatal injuries are almost 100 times that of our homicide rates. You think for about every one kid who is murdered, 100 kids witness the murder or are victims of nonfatal injuries, of robberies, muggings and gang-related incidents. A lot of times, this exposure goes undocumented or unreported."

Black youths, he said, are two times more likely than white youths to fail or drop out of school, and at the same time they are also eight to 10 times more likely to be victims of homicide than whites.

"I don't even know where to begin," said Diane Latiker, who runs a program for at-risk youths out of her home in the city's Roseland neighborhood. "There aren't any words for what I feel for what is going on for our youth."

Ms. Latiker uses three rooms of her six-room apartment to run a nonprofit program called Kids Off the Block. She offers tutoring, mentoring and travel opportunities designed to show Chicago youths who want successful futures that the violent culture they see daily is not the norm.

The local drug dealer in a big car with flashy rims, wearing cool sneakers, appears to many to be the model of success, Ms. Latiker said.

"The A and B students, they have family and community support," she said. "What about the kid who is struggling, hanging out there on the street corner and joining that gang because he feels hopeless? That's what I'm hearing from our youth. They feel they have nothing to live for."

Where is Jesse Jackson? Where is Al Sharpton? Maxine Waters? Why is the Daily Kos and Huffington Post both silent on this? Why is the left silent? Black children are being killed!

Yet not a word about this from them. If it came out that Black children were being killed by the Chicago police, white men, or KKK members, they would be marching in the streets. But a little gang violence and they remain silent on this issue. THAT IS RACISM!

Why is it that Jackson, Waters and Sharpton will go ballistic if the 'N' word is used by a comedian, radio personality or other WHITE person, but are remaining silent when a rapper like: Mac Dre, Snoop Dog, Master P, and Lil Wayne all tell young people not to snitch, don't cooperate with the police. So the murderers go free to kill again and again. The rappers get rich, the murderers get away with the crime, and the people of the neighborhood are less safe, less secure in their homes.

And still the only cry that goes out is: Take away people's guns. If there were no guns, there would be no gun violence, the liberals say. The truth is that these crimes are not committed with legal weapons, but illegal ones. AK-47's to be exact. That is not the type of weapon one can walk into a gun shop and pick up.

Gun control is NOT the answer. The answer is for the Black Community to stop the culture of gangsterism. It is for parents to sit down with their kids and explain to them that the rappers and gangsters are not the best role-models for them. That snitching is not wrong. That testifying in court is your civic duty. That solving one's problems with a shooting is just plain stupid. Most important it is time for Black leaders to say these things. For Black leaders to march in the streets of Chicago screaming for justice for these 36 children. For Black leaders to stand up to the gangsters and take their culture back.

In September, Chicago will begin a new school year. Let us all pray that the next year will see no child shot, no child killed by gangsters. That each child will have a chance to grow up and become a useful and productive member of this great nation.
