Pakistanis Break Out the Fighter Jets, Taliban Bombed In Orakzai Agency, 21 Total Taliban Killed

I guess it's okay for the Pakistanis to put their aircraft up and bomb the piss out of the Taliban but American and NATO jets need to be parked on the ground in Afghanistan. Anyway, the Pakistani military sent fighter jets into Orakzai and Kurram agencies today and bombed the hell out of Taliban hideouts killing a total of 21 Taliban.

From the story at DAWN:

Security forces on Wednesday targeted suspected militant hide-outs with heavy shelling in upper Orakzai and central Kurram regions, DawnNews reported.

According to government sources, military jets bombed different areas of Mamuzai in upper Orakzai agency, killing at least 11 suspected militants. Six militants were reported to be wounded, while four suspected hide-outs were also destroyed.

Meanwhile, 10 suspected militants were killed in another ongoing operation in central Kurram agency.

Now, this certainly doesn't mean that the Pakistani government has opted for some massive offensive in the country - I'm not really sure why they are doing this now...it's all a bit of a mute point considering they still haven't lifted a finger in North Waziristan where all of the damn Taliban run anyway when they do clean out other areas.

I would be willing to bet you that every single one of these hideouts bombed today were bombed in the same manner a year ago...and in the mean time, the Taliban returned and set up shop all over again.
