Can you even imagine living in Pakistan? A fresh new week begins on Monday morning and right out of the gates a suicide bomber attacks a site in Battagram where a political leader was set to address the people. Six people are confirmed dead with 10 wounded...I'm guessing those totals will increase due to the early reporting on this one.

As I have followed Pakistan for a number of years, it never ceases to amaze me just how widespread the attacks are in the country - you simply cannot escape the threat of islamic terror anywhere in Pakistan.

The story is from DAWN.

Six killed in Battagram blast

PESHAWAR: At least six people, including three police officials, were killed and 10 others were wounded in an explosion in Battagram on Monday, DawnNews reported.

The bomb attack targeted a public meeting due to be addressed by cabinet minister Amir Muqam, officials said.

Initial reports said Mr Muqam, minister without portfolio from the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid party, was not at the venue when the bomb exploded.

Rescue teams were on their way to the site of the explosion.
