Lost his wings?!? You've gotta be shitting me. That was one of the greatest flyovers I've ever seen. As, I'm sure, just about any of the 50,000 people there would agree! I've seen an A10 Warthog fly at < 1000 feet over the interstate before turning knife-edge and roaring off into the sky @ Cherry Point, and M1 Abrams driving alongside the highway @ Ft Bragg NC at > 40 MPH.

Good God what a nation of sissies we've become when a low deck flyover is wrong but queer marines kissing or marching in gay rights parades is perfectly fine.

I don't understand this country any longer.

(Associated Press) Air Force disciplines pilots for low Iowa flyover

The Air Force says six pilots who participated in a spectacular flyover before an Iowa football game have been disciplined for flying too low and too fast. The lead pilot is giving up his right to fly military aircraft.

The Air Force says the four Talon T-38 Trainer jets flew just 16 feet above the stadium's press box when they wowed 70,000 fans inside Kinnick Stadium before Iowa hosted Ohio State on Nov. 20.

The jets also approached speeds of 400 knots during both the flyover and practice runs the day before. The limit is 300 knots.

Col. Russell Mack is commander of the 71st Flying Training Wing. He says while he understands fans attending the game enjoyed the flyover, the rules are meant to insure safety.

There's the story.

Politically correct assholes are now running this country. It would have been OK for two Gay Airmen to kiss on the 50 yard line, but anything that speaks of something more than the nannyism that pervades even the military, is forbidden. I'd rather go into combat with the lead pilot that his air group commander.
