Pakistani Military Pounds Orakzai Agency With Artillery, Six Taliban Killed

The silent big guns of the Pakistani military were brought to life today as Pakistani artillery pounded a portion of Orakzai agency and then end result was six dead Taliban. The recent operations by the Pakistani military in Mohmand agency haven't yielded much news in the past week but Orakzai has been going on for quite some time.

At this point in time, one has to believe that there are a certain number of Taliban who are moving from agency to agency and province to province - they have had to move on due to either the latest Pakistani military operation or the pressure from U.S. predator drones.

And what has been the result of these latest operations in Pakistan? Well, let me ask this question: When is the last time you saw a report of a major offensive by Pakistani Taliban crossing over into Afghanistan? Those that said "a helluva long time ago" would get to go to the head of the class. I don't get to follow the Afghanistan War as closely as I'd like but it is apparent to me that there simply are not the Taliban attacks on U.S. and NATO forces going on right now...couple that with some reports from U.S. military heads that the Afghan province of Helmand is close to falling to the U.S. and we certainly have good news to report.

Here's the article from DAWN.
