To Holger readers, it's not often that I ask you for anything here. Tonight is different. Big Sarge is my friend and fellow Blog Talk Radio Host and quite frankly, is like a brother to me. I ask that if you can dig deep for this man, please do. If times are too tough, I ask that you offer some prayers for this American Patriot.

Patriotism is alive and well in America and this special show features open lines for current military members and veterans to call in and share their stories of service and simply express what serving America has meant to them. We welcome calls from everyone to share their stories of service or gratitude. Special guests include Pat Dollard of PatDollard.com who will speak of his experience embedded with the Marines during Ramadi operations in Iraq and also Jim Hanson (Uncle Jimbo) from the premier milblog, BlackFive.net , who will share some of his memories of serving our country.
This show has a special purpose as well and that is raising funds for a Blog Talk Radio host and 18 year veteran of the U.S. Army, Robert Brandt who is known to his friends and those at BTR as "Big Sarge". Big Sarge has been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing treatment just two months after being laid off from his private sector job of many years. We ask you to Support Big Sarge and his wife and three children through this rough time. This is your chance to reach out and thank a Army veteran in a very special way at a time when he needs your help. Big Sarge sacrificed for his country and our hope is that many of you will join us to help him in this new battle.

We don't have a dollar count at this time but the donations really did start pouring in during the show. Our thanks to you for calling in and showing your support!
