U.S., Obama Administration Warn Americans About Travel In Europe, Al Qaeda Terror Threat Still Real

The Obama administration today announced a warning to all Americans traveling in Europe that they are potentially in peril, especially on public transportation systems as the threats of terror attacks planned by al Qaeda are still very much a possibility.

From the article at Breitbart:

The Obama administration on Sunday warned Americans of potential terrorist threats in Europe and urged them to be vigilant in public places, including tourist spots and transportation hubs.

A State Department travel alert advises U.S. citizens living or traveling in Europe to take more precautions about their personal security. The alert is one step below a formal travel warning advising Americans not to visit Europe.

"Current information suggests that al-Qaida and affiliated organizations continue to plan terrorist attacks," it said. "European governments have taken action to guard against a terrorist attack and some have spoken publicly about the heightened threat conditions."

It noted in particular "the potential for terrorists to attack public transportation systems and other tourist infrastructure."

Just yesterday I was having a conversation about the general state of islamic terror in this world and specifically in America as we saw the torch passed from George W. Bush to Barack Hussein Obama, and my conclusion was that the U.S. and its citizens have never been so much at risk at they are right now.

The fact of the matter is that the Obama administration and the Department of Homeland Security have pretty much allowed a complete reversal of the safety that the American people enjoyed from 2001 to 2008. There are a myriad of reasons for this but I feel the major reason has been the portrayal of America as weak on terror. Barack Hussein Obama's outreach to muslims across this world has ensured them that they would not feel the wrath of Bush if they indeed carried forward with jihad.

I'm going to let you all in on a secret...with all of this attention on the European plots of al Qaeda...don't take your eyes off of our America. Al Qaeda is the master of deception and deflection. I'm not saying that the plots for Europe weren't discovered and aren't real but I am also saying that I feel that al Qaeda has the reach to do Mumbai-style attacks in America as well...all you need are five or six jihadis with small arms and a few grenades and suicide belts. And all along I have asked myself...."if al Qaeda wanted to hit Europe with this strategy all at once, why wouldn't they have America targeted at the same time?"

I guess we'll have to wait and see but what this has all proven is that Barack Hussein Obama's plan of reaching out to muslims across the world in an effort to "build bridges" has failed miserably and we are in a worse spot than ever. Another complete fail.

US warns Americans to be vigilant when in Europe

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Obama administration on Sunday warned Americans of potential terrorist threats in Europe and urged them to be vigilant in public places, including tourist spots and transportation hubs.

"U.S. citizens should take every precaution to be aware of their surroundings and to adopt appropriate safety measures to protect themselves when traveling," the department said.

U.S. and European security experts have been concerned for days that terrorists may be plotting attacks in Europe with assault weapons on public places, similar to the deadly 2008 shooting spree in Mumbai, India.
