Turkish Bride Groom Celebrates By Firing AK-47 Into Air...Then (oops) Into His Wedding Guests, 3 Accidentally Killed

I think most of us have seen the celebratory gunfire in the air that islamists do in places like Gaza and in Pakistan but in an interesting turn of fate at a wedding in Turkey, the bride groom was handed an AK-47 after his marriage ceremony, and with everyone cheering and wishing the new couple well, the bride groom fired the weapon into the air ....and then lost control of the gun and fired shots directly into the crowd of well wishers killing three people - one of them being his own father.

Now, I ask you, do you technically get to go to paradise according to the free pass notion of martyrdom in Islam if you are killed while at a wedding? I'm guessing that after the carnage of this event, none of the wedding guests were willing to own up to the fact that they had been the ones to bestow the AK-47 as a wedding gift.

LOL.

The story comes from The Post Chronicle.

Groom Accidentally Kills Wedding Guests - Lost Control Of The AK47 Rifle

In Ankara, Turkey a groom named Tevfik Altin lost control of a weapon during his wedding. The result of the loss of control was the death of 3 guests.
The story goes that the groom was given an AK-47 after the vows were said. He was firing the AK-47 into the air when he lost control of the weapon and aimed it at guests. The groom killed his father, 60, and two aunts, 19 and 55. Eight other relatives were injured during the Sunday celebration in a little village of Akcagoze, Gaziantep. Several children from ages 10 to 16 were also injured.
Police arrested the groom and the cousin who gave him the weapon.

The tradition in Turkey is that when someone gets married, someone fires a weapon into the air to celebrate. Turkey has been trying to destroy the dangerous tradition due to the fact of several stray bullet accidents occurring. It is not uncommon for more than one person to be firing a weapon after a wedding.
CNN asked witnesses what happened. One stated that it happened "very quickly." We imagine this incident will only aid Turkey in their fight to end weapons discharge after celebrations.
