It is so on. Just yesterday, at this blog, I called for Mayor Michael Bloomberg to pay a stiff political price for his support of the building of the Ground Zero mosque ....well, today's comments by the Mayor certainly prove that my comments were not unfounded or premature. This piece-of-shit that runs New York City continues to poke a stick into the eye of every American - it simply is beyond the pale.
Look at what the Mayor of the City that lost over 2,500 citizens at the hands of islamic terrorists had to say today, from the New York Post:

Opponents of the proposed construction of a controversial mosque just blocks from Ground Zero "ought to be ashamed of themselves" for opposing it, Mayor Bloomberg said this morning.Well, I'll tell you what, Mr. Bloomberg....YOU'RE the one that ought to be ashamed - you're the one that will have to look the family members of the 9/11 attack in the eye and tell them you were the one that assured that the islamists honored their victorious attack that day. You bastard. And if you think this shit is gonna blow over chump, think again. You're in this thing feet first, jerk and some of us are now at the point where just stopping the mosque is not enough. Not nearly enough. We want you out - out as Mayor of New York City and out of any political sphere for the rest of your life. Your career will be a shambles, Bloomberg...you will be remembered as the Jimmy Carter of Brooklyn, the Michael Moore of Manhattan - you'll live the rest of your life in disgrace. You're nothing short of a fucking pig.
"I don't know and government shouldn't. Do you really want every time they pass the basket in your church and you throw a buck in, they run over and say, 'OK, now, you know, where do you come from? Who are your parents? Where'd you get this money?'
Bloomberg then added, "A handful of people ought to be ashamed of themselves."
Mayor Bloomberg says Ground Zero mosque opponents should be 'ashamed' of themselves
Opponents of the proposed construction of a controversial mosque just blocks from Ground Zero "ought to be ashamed of themselves" for opposing it, Mayor Bloomberg said this morning.
Bloomberg said he also doesn't care where the people behind the mosque and Islamic cultural center will get the money to build.
"People say, 'Do they have the money? Can they raise the money? Where does it come from?' " Bloomberg said during an appearance on his WOR-AM radio show.

Bloomberg then added, "A handful of people ought to be ashamed of themselves."
Earlier this week, with the Statue of Liberty as a backdrop, Bloomberg gave an impassioned plea in support of the mosque for what he said was trampling on religious freedom.
"I believe that this is an important test of the separation of church and state -- as important a test as we may see in our lifetimes -- and it is critically important that we get it right," the mayor said.
The mayor spoke shortly after the Landmarks Preservation Commission paved the way Tuesday for the construction of the mosque on Park Place -- voting 9-0 vote not to grant landmark status to the 152-year-old building that is to be demolished for the project.
The planned building, called Park 51, is slated to house a community center in addition to the house of worship.
Families of many 9/11 victims have opposed the construction of the proposed mosque, saying it would be insensitive since the hijackers behind the terror attacks were Muslim.
"To cave to popular sentiment would be to hand a victory to the terrorists," he said, "We should not stand for that."
