17,000 British Immigrants Allowed To Stay When British Officials Don't Show Up For Deportation Proceedings

I guess there is one way to keep the islamic immigrants to Britain from rioting - when one of those immigrants is scheduled to be deported, the British government officials simply don't show up for the appeal process and thus, the immigrants get to stay!

A report here from KUNA shows that over 17,000 immigrants to Britain last year were slated to be sent back to their countries but since the necessary British officials didn't show up at the appeals hearing, the courts have to allow those immigrants to remain in the country.

This almost reminds me of another situation across the pond from Britain where a U.S. government simply turns a blind eye to protecting its southern border and routinely allows thousands of illegals to enter America. Kind of ironic isn't it? We have Brits who won't follow through to kick those out that they can and the U.S. won't stop those that aren't allowed in.

From the report:

Thousands of appeals against immigration decisions succeeded last year without the UK Home Office even attending a hearing to defend its original rejections, figures showed Monday. More than 17,000 immigrants won leave to remain in Britain last year when no official was present, the Home Office said. In all, 36% of appeals in 2009 were not attended by a Home Office representative, compared with 24% in 2008, the figures showed.

Perhaps there's an ominous warning here for America in this story - let's just suppose that Barack Hussein Obama gets his way and Amnesty is passed in America. So, we end up with tens of millions of illegal immigrants who now get to go through the legal immigration process - and let's suppose that 20% of them don't meet the criteria or fail along the way...has the Obama administration even considered how they will return upwards of four million Mexicans back home? I seriously doubt that has even been considered.

17,000 immigration appeals unopposed

LONDON, Aug 2 (KUNA) -- Thousands of appeals against immigration decisions succeeded last year without the UK Home Office even attending a hearing to defend its original rejections, figures showed Monday. More than 17,000 immigrants won leave to remain in Britain last year when no official was present, the Home Office said. In all, 36% of appeals in 2009 were not attended by a Home Office representative, compared with 24% in 2008, the figures showed. Keith Vaz, chairman of the House of Commons Home Affairs Committee, told The Times newspaper the situation was "a shocking state of affairs". "It represents a waste of money," he said. "I think in some cases they cannot be bothered to turn up because they look at the papers and know they are not going to win. "In other cases it is sheer inefficiency. There seems to be an attitude that they do not even care what the result is going to be." The figures, released in a parliamentary written answer, showed 17,473 migrants won their appeals at hearings at which the Home Office was not represented by an official in 2009. The volume of appeals has significantly increased in recent years, peaking in 2008-09 at more than 188,000. Last year the introduction of an administrative review process for some entry clearance casework cut the number of appeals to about 160,000. Immigration minister Damian Green said: "Public protection and harm reduction will remain the UK Border Agency's primary consideration when deciding on operational issues. "Our appeal process is designed so that many appeals should be and are determined on the documentary evidence without a need for representation".

Every Latino I know is -

-devout Catholic
-against abortion
-against any sex outside of marriage (so they marry off young)
- consider homosexuality an unspeakable abomination

If the Republican Party cannot manage to capture a majority of the Latino vote then they have a problem. Hispanics are a natural Conservative constituency, if Republicans can manage to engage their community.
