Just Perfect! California's Answer To New Job Creation Is Huge Pot Farms - Oakland City Council Approves Four Large Scale Farms

What could possibly go wrong with four huge farms outside of Oakland raising hundreds of acres of marijuana?! Man, what a great solution to the unemployment issue in California - just open up some farms to raise pot - in fact, the city of Oakland might just look at doubling the number of jobs created by opening up a few opium anc cocoa farms too, huh?

By the way, is it just me or is the demand for "medical marijuana" skyrocketing in California?

Here's the story from Breitbart.

Oakland gives final OK to large-scale pot farms

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - Oakland has become the first city in the country to authorize large-scale industrial pot cultivation.
The Oakland City Council voted Tuesday morning in favor of a plan to license four production plants where marijuana would be grown, packaged and processed for medical use. Two council members abstained from the vote.

Under the plan, the facilities would not be limited in size, but they would be heavily taxed and regulated.

Supporters of the measure say it would create jobs and bring in millions of dollars to the city. Opponents argue it will put small medical marijuana growers out of business.

The measure will require bidders to meet certain labor, environmental and product safety standards.

We are the most medicated society there has ever been. Watch TV - endless commercials for Plavix, Ambien, Prozac, Viagra, etc. Reefer is safer than any of those.

I can go to the liquor store and buy a liter of grain alcohol - if I drink it all in one night I'm a dead man. It is impossible to OD on grass.

Your argument that growing weed will lead to growing harder more dangerous drugs (cocaine won't grow in that climate anyway) is tired and weak.

Isn't "states rights" a mantra of the conservative movement? Well, there you go.
