Personally, I have never bought into the idea that Barack Hussein Obama is a muslim. At the same time, I have never doubted that he is NOT a Christian. It is my feeling that, although Obama certainly has a closer tie to his touches with Islam in his youth, he is actually an atheist. And I would go so far as to label Obama as a "Militant Atheist." This is a man, in my view, who holds dear the tenet that G_d does not exist and in his militancy, he actively seeks an end to the freedom of others to worship in their faith. Obama's ties to Islam have influenced his defense of that "religion" but we must see that Obama's apparent loyalty to Islam is simply his best strategy AGAINST Christianity.
But, as the title of this post suggests, let's get your take on things. I have posted below some quotes and verbage from Obama in regards to Christianity, followed by the same regarding Islam. I will then finish with some more points to my argument that he is, in fact, an atheist:
On Christianity/His Faith:
"One of the great strengths of the United States," the President said, "is ... we have a very large Christian population -- we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values." Link.
Obama says he prays regularly. But look how he describes that process: "It's not formal, me getting on my knees. I think I have an ongoing conversation with God. ... I'm constantly asking myself questions about what I'm doing, why I am doing it. The biggest challenge, I think, is always maintaining your moral compass." Link.
John Roberts, the Chief Justice charged who helped bungle the oath on Tuesday, was summoned to the White House and, in front of a small pool of reporters, Mr Obama carefully and accurately repeated the 35-word oath prescribed by Article 2 of the Constitution.
The problem was, no-one thought to bring a Bible and Mr Obama decided to go ahead without one. Link.
Obama administration bans Bible verses in the Pentagon's reports Link.
“Should we go with Leviticus, which suggests slavery is OK and that eating shellfish is an abomination? Or we could go with Deuteronomy, which suggests stoning your child if he strays from the faith? Or should we just stick to the Sermon on the Mount? “So before we get carried away, let’s read our Bible now,” Obama said, to cheers. “Folks haven’t been reading their Bible.” He also called Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount “a passage that is so radical that it’s doubtful that our Defense Department would survive its application.” Link.
Today it’s just ironic; the Obama’s have attended church only once – on Easter Sunday – while residing in Washington DC for over 9-months, and one wonders if this unreported, apathetic church presentation is another layer of revelation for the current administration. Link.
For eight years, the White House held a celebration on the National Day of Prayer, and last year Obama cancelled the celebration, and the ceremony has been cancelled for 2010. Link.
On Islam:
Mr. Obama recalled the opening lines of the Arabic call to prayer, reciting them with a first-rate accent. In a remark that seemed delightfully uncalculated (it’ll give Alabama voters heart attacks), Mr. Obama described the call to prayer as “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.” Link.
The president joined Cabinet secretaries, members of the diplomatic corps and lawmakers to pay tribute to what he called "a great religion and its commitment to justice and progress." Link.
And throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality... And I consider it part of my responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear. . . So let there be no doubt: the situation for the Palestinian people is intolerable. America will not turn our backs on the legitimate Palestinian aspiration for dignity, opportunity, and a state of their own. Link.
For well over a billion Muslims, Ramadan is a time of intense devotion and reflection. It's a time of service and support for those in need. And it is also a time for family and friends to come together in a celebration of their faith, their communities, and the common humanity that all of us share. It is in that spirit that I welcome each and every one of you to the White House. Link.

When I think of Barack Hussein Obama's supposed Christian faith, there are a number of red flags that pop into my head, such as:
- Reverend Wright's Church: Many have exclaimed that there is no way that Barack Hussein Obama didn't hear Rev. Wright's sermons of hate but considering Obama's church going record as President, I am convinced he did NOT hear Wright's proclamations because Obama was not there. He NEVER went to church.
- Abortion: Christians of all denominations acknowledge the sin of abortion. And although some Christians have chosen to "look the other way" regarding abortion, the man, Barack Hussein Obama, has actively and aggressively sought through legislation to not only protect abortion's place in our society, but to advance abortion throughout the world.
- Czar Appointments: There can be no doubt that Obama has assembled the widest array of "czars" in his realm of influence and one consistent trait of most of those czars is a void of any religious faith
- Marxism: While some will degree with my claim that Obama is truly a Marxist, there can be no denying his tendencies and appreciation towards socialism. One of the pivots of Marxism is banishment of religion and faith.
- Homosexuality: Again, most Christians will deem homosexuality as an abomination and nearly all would regard it as abnormal. With that in context, Barack Hussein Obama has sought out Gay and Lesbians for his cabinet, his czars and perhaps nominees for the Supreme Court. Also, Obama has sided with the homosexual community in support of gay marriage.
So, you decide. Is Barack Hussein Obama a Christian? Is he an atheist? I will leave you with one of the most famous quotes of our President, when he was campaigning for the highest office in our land:
"It's not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or anti-pathy to people who aren't like them, or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."
