British Government Tells Karzai To Talk With The Taliban

It seems every week the British government falls further and further into the abyss of pacifism regarding the War in Afghanistan. This is a government that has basically surrendered to the islamists in their own country and apparently now, wishes to see Afghan President Karzai wave the white flag to the Taliban. Disgusting. Spineless.

From the report at The Independent:

The British Government has suggested that the government of Hamid Karzai should talk to the Taliban leadership, the so-called "Quetta Shura", in an attempt to bring insurgents into the political process.

And....if you don't think that is bad enough, look at this:

The British Government is also pressing for former Taliban members to be removed from a United Nations blacklist. Those on the list cannot travel freely and can be arrested under an international licence. This is seen as a major hindrance to talks.
"Former" Taliban members? What the fuck is that?!!! Do you know of any "former" Taliban members other than those that are spread out in Helmand province after AH-64's obliterated them into 1000 pieces? Tell me, British government, just how many members of the Taliban have you seen quit and come over to our side?

To the British government: If you've lost every last ounce of spine to fight islamic terrorism and the islamofascism of the Taliban and al Qaeda, then just pull out of Afghanistan. Bring your troops home and get out, but when you do that ..shut the fuck up about the whole action and let real men get down to work protecting your ghey fucking asses from a beheading.

Karzai told to talk with the Taliban

The British Government has suggested that the government of Hamid Karzai should talk to the Taliban leadership, the so-called "Quetta Shura", in an attempt to bring insurgents into the political process.
The initiative is a step up from previous calls for rank-and-file Taliban, who are not doctrinaire jihadists, to be offered amnesty, but the Foreign Office does not say that direct negotiations should be held with Mullah Omar, the former head of Afghanistan's Taliban regime, who is now directing the biggest of the insurgent groups.

The British Government is also pressing for former Taliban members to be removed from a United Nations blacklist. Those on the list cannot travel freely and can be arrested under an international licence. This is seen as a major hindrance to talks.
A leaked Foreign Office memo says: "We must weaken and divide the Taliban if we are to reduce the insurgency to a level that can be managed and contained by the Afghan security forces. This can be achieved by a combination of military pressure and clear signals that the option of an honourable exit from the fight exists."

I think they will put Tony Blair on trial for war crimes and then pull out of Afghanistan.

Just what a sane war campaign needs: bring insurgents into the political process!
