Yessssssss! Nothing better than to see the Pakistani air force up there dropping their JDAM's on Taliban training camps and hideouts and the net result of the latest strikes includes 12 dead Taliban. This all shows a huge advantage that the Pakistani military has and that is its intel - they know where most of these camps are and it's just a matter of getting the green light to rain hell down on the Taliban. What's even better is that these airstrikes continue to target the network of Baitullah Mehsud - believe me, this guy knows he is in the middle of it.
Here's the article from Dawn:
Warplanes kill 12 Taliban militants in OrakzaiKOHAT, July 18: The wife and son of a member of a 'Taliban court', along with 12 militants, were killed when jets shelled training camps and hideouts of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan in Orakzai Agency on Saturday.
Maulvi Amanullah, a member of the court, was also killed in the air strike at his house in Mamozai area, but his body was not found.
Two training camps and several hideouts of the TTP were destroyed in the attack. Soon after the bombing, militants cordoned off the area and started retrieving bodies and the injured.
Twelve militants killed in the air strike belonged to the Hakeemullah Mehsud group. Hakeemullah, a deputy to Taliban warlord Baitullah Mehsud, heads the TTP in Orakzai and Khyber Agency.
Officials told Dawn that Hakeemullah had left the region and was now fighting in South Waziristan. He is believed to be mentor of suicide bombers and runs training camps in Orakzai Agency.
CLASHES: Fierce clashes took place between security forces and the Taliban in Darra Adam Khel, forcing the people to leave the area.
Troops cordoned off Akhorwal and imposed a curfew after receiving reports that a large number of militants had entered the area to attack FC checkposts and military convoys.
