Pakistani Military Kills 159 Taliban in 24 Hours

Sweeeeet! Just think of it...today, the World is enjoying the fact that 159 Taliban pieces of shit are no longer here and are finding themselves walking the halls of Hell looking in each door finding zero virgins but plenty of horror and despair. Good riddance. The Pakistani military appears to be in full bore mode at the moment but the report here at Breitbart does state that the Taliban numbers in the Swat area are totalling around 4,000. But even with that, for the Pakistani armed forces to kill off 159 Taliban in 24 hours is impressive. Here's a bit from the story:

At least 159 militants have been killed in an army operation in Swat and adjoining areas in northwestern Pakistan during the last 24 hours, a Defense Ministry spokesman said Friday.
Major Gen. Athar Abbas told a news briefing in Islamabad that the army operation will continue until normality is restored and government rule is established in the restive areas, including the scenic Swat valley.

"The army is now engaged in a full-scale operation to eliminate insurgents from Swat," Abbas said.

This has been what is frustrating about the Pakistan situation - over the years, the Pakistani military has always had a knack of really inflicting a ton of casualties on the Taliban and al Qaeda - we've seen in the past where they have killed upwards of 300 Taliban in just one week. The problem has always been their resolve - they knock the Taliban down to the mat and when they get up all groggy, on rubber leg street...the Pakistani government has always stepped in and helped them to their corner.

Maybe just this once the military of Pakistan will actually TRY to purge the area of Taliban...course then, the next hurdle will be trying to keep the filthy buggers from coming back into the area.

ISLAMABAD, May 8 (AP) - (Kyodo)—At least 159 militants have been killed in an army operation in Swat and adjoining areas in northwestern Pakistan during the last 24 hours, a Defense Ministry spokesman said Friday.
Major Gen. Athar Abbas told a news briefing in Islamabad that the army operation will continue until normality is restored and government rule is established in the restive areas, including the scenic Swat valley.

"The army is now engaged in a full-scale operation to eliminate insurgents from Swat," Abbas said.
The Swat valley, about 130 kilometers from Islamabad in the North West Frontier Province, has historically attracted tourists. It is now a stronghold of the Pakistani Taliban, who are seeking to enforce Islamic law and support the Afghan Taliban and the al-Qaeda terrorist network.
The army operation, which had been unfolding for several days, was officially launched Thursday when a peace deal signed by the provincial government with local militants collapsed.
Abbas said the bulk of the militants come from Swat but also include some Afghans and Tajiks. He estimated the number of militants at nearly 4,000.
According to the International Committee of the Red Cross, about 500,000 people have fled the Swat valley and nearby areas, and are living in refugee camps.
Abbas refused to give a time frame for the army operation.

Yep..it's a start - i'd like to see them stacked like cordwood 8 feet high on the Pakistani/AFghan border as a reminder.
