Canadian Communist Leader Headed To America To Help Obama Inflict National Health Care On Us

Seems that President Barack Obama's list of bedfellows is growing - not long after his befriending Hugo Chavez and the Castro brothers, Obama is now going to get a helping hand with national healthcare in America from Taliban Jack Layton of the NDP (New Democratic Party) of Canada. For those not that familiar with "Taliban" Jack and his NDP party...well, Jack Layton got the nickname "Taliban Jack" because of his sympathies for the Taliban and his hatred of the Canadian military (I know, it sounds familiar, doesn't it?). And the NDP or New Democratic Party is termed a social democrat party but has nothing to do with "democratic" - these are far left wing Marxists. The founder of the NDP was actually the father of nationalized health care in Canada. So anyway, this Canadian putz is coming to America to meet with Obama and other Democrats to "help" in getting our new healthcare system in place. I'm sure a few Canadian readers of Holger Awakens might have an opinion of Jack Layton and his healthcare solution. Here's some of the story from Breitbart:

NDP Leader Jack Layton is off to Washington to try to lend Barack Obama a hand in his effort to expand public health care.
Layton plans meetings with several Democrats in the White House, in Congress and at Democratic party headquarters.
Health care will be one of the key themes of his three-day visit, which starts June 1.
With the U.S. bracing for a political dogfight over health reforms this year, Canada's medicare system has been dragged into the debate.

Layton will use a speech at the Woodrow Wilson Institute and the meetings with U.S. politicians to defend the merits of medicare, and explain how it's so popular that politicians in Canada wouldn't dare try scrapping it.
I haven't blogged much here about the whole national healthcare issue but it should be obvious that I am deadset against it. We have the best healthcare in the world and Obama is simply going to mess it all up. The bad news is I see it as inevitable - I see the opponents of national healthcare over the years starting to rollover this time - apparently they see the numbers of Leftists in Congress and the White House and figure it isn't worth the fight.

So America, get ready to kiss your visit to the doctor of your choice goodbye. Get ready for a six month wait for an operation. Get used to the finest doctors in the world changing profession and becoming engineers. You're okay with having the bottom third of doctors coming out of medical schoools being the only ones you can go to right? Oh, and get ready to see all of those international flights of Democrat policiticans and Hollywood celebs who will be seeking their medical care in nations that do NOT have national healthcare.

I'm not saying the fight is over, but the patient just went code blue and the nurse got an automated message from the only surgeon on staff and he's over his quote for surgeries....
But not to worry...you can rest easy knowing that you'll be paying for the hospital stay for the illegal alien who came across the border last week.

NDP aims to help Obama in health-care fight

OTTAWA - NDP Leader Jack Layton is off to Washington to try to lend Barack Obama a hand in his effort to expand public health care.

An American conservative group has taken out ads warning viewers against moving toward a Canadian-style system.
Layton will use a speech at the Woodrow Wilson Institute and the meetings with U.S. politicians to defend the merits of medicare, and explain how it's so popular that politicians in Canada wouldn't dare try scrapping it.
The NDP's founding figure, Tommy Douglas, is considered the father of health care in Canada.
The White House appears willing to return the favour.
Obama's communications director and a senior campaign adviser will attend an NDP convention this summer and provide tips on political messaging and grassroots organizing.

We already pay for that illegal alien's healthcare - its called the emergency room. There needs to be some kind of preventative health care for the poor - I know people who go to the emergency room just to get their prescriptions renewed and that is ass backwards.

Billions for foreign aid every year but nothing for the swelling millions of uninsured Americans? I'll bet Israel has nationalized health care/socialized medicine. Just where do you think these movie stars and politicians will fly to? Every other modern, industrialized nation in the world has a national health insurance system - it saves them billions.
We spend more on health care than any other nation in the world. Something has got to give.
