It's been awhile since the thwarted plot by islamic terrorists to blow up transit systems in Barcelona, Spain but now, a Taliban group out of Pakistan, the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, has claimed responsibility for that plot, planning and personnel. This is a group with strong ties in Pakistan to al Qaeda.

That last sentence shows us exactly how far the Taliban will go to stop NATO and western countries from participating in the War in Afghanistan and of course, Spain is a major target because they have caved before to the terrorists by surrendering and turning tail and running from Iraq.
Hopefully, this will be a lesson for all Western countries involved in the global war on terror and that is that once you give in to the terrorists, like Spain did in Iraq, you become the target FOREVER. You didn't see this plot to bomb targets in America, did you? The Spaniards showed their yellow bellies after the Madrid bombings and less than 2 years later, they have another plot in their midst to do the same thing.
And so, if this bombing in Barcelona would have taken place and the Spaniards cowered again and withdrew from Afghanistan...would that have been the end of the terrorist targeting of them? Hell No! The next bombing would have been to demand that Spain start giving up part of their country itself as the islamists see Spain as their own land from centuries past. The only response a country can take to as dramatic of an attack as Spain had in Madrid is to redouble your anti-terror efforts and show the islamists that by attacking you, they will pay the ultimate price.

Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), “claimed responsibility for the terrorist massacre planned in public transports in Barcelona at the beginning of the year”, wrote Fernando Reinares, from the Madrid-based Royal Elcano Institute, in El Pais.According to Reinares, the movement claimed in a video interview aired at the end of August that 12 of its men had been planning the attack.In the video, a spokesman for the Taliban movement named Omar said the attack was planned due to Spain’s military presence in Afghanistan.

TTP claims responsibility for foiled terror plan in Barcelona
