Now, we are going to have to wait on this one to see who the target was and if it was successful, but another U.S. drone has fired a missile into the Pakistani side of the border with Afghanistan and we have yet to see one of these attacks that didn't target a very key Al Qaeda or Taliban operative(s). Here's what is being reported now from Reuters:
And quite frankly, this HAS to be scaring the ever-living shit out of al Qaeda and Taliban leaders inside Pakistan.
I'm going to go out on a limb here folks and try my hand at a prediction on this latest strike. Due to the relatively benign nature of the area hit, I'm saying the target is a VERY HIGH up target and I'll go so far as to use the name, Mullah Omar. The Taliban top leader is pretty shifty and he figures the U.S. will search for him in the most protected and safest areas of Pakistan...considering this missile hit in an area where there isn't total support of the tribes and is usually relatively calm, leads me to believe this is a big score. I hope I'm right.
A pilotless U.S. drone was suspected to have fired a missile into a Pakistani area on the Afghan border on Tuesday, but there was no word on the target or casualties, a government official said. The U.S. and NATO figured something out about 2 months ago - they took a chance with their first missile attack inside Pakistan and the new government in Pakistan is so green, they put up no argument, hell...they didn't know WHAT to do. So what has transpired since then is simply as long as the U.S. and NATO don't go overboard with the attacks, they've more or less been given a green light.
The missile was thought to have been fired into the Mohmand ethnic Pashtun tribal area in northwest Pakistan where this year, U.S.-controlled Predator aircraft have struck at least four sites used by al Qaeda operatives, killing dozens of suspected militants.
"There was an attack by a spy plane close to the Afghan border but we don't have information about casualties or damage," said the government official based in the region. He declined to be identified.

Suspected U.S. missile fired in NW Pakistan
PESHAWAR, Pakistan (Reuters) - A pilotless U.S. drone was suspected to have fired a missile into a Pakistani area on the Afghan border on Tuesday, but there was no word on the target or casualties, a government official said.
Mohmand has not been a hotbed of support for al Qaeda and the Taliban but militants are known to operate there.
A Pakistani military spokesman said he had no information about any missile strike.
Neither U.S. nor Pakistani authorities usually confirm U.S. missile attacks on Pakistani territory, which would be an infringement of Pakistani sovereignty.
