No one has ever accused the Taliban of being the sharpest knives in the drawer and that is further evidenced by this lunacy that the Taliban is now offering up to the government of Pakistan. Let's take a look what they said here at this article at MEMRI:
1. The reason for any attacks into Pakistan is BECAUSE OF YOU, the Taliban.
2. You do realize, Taliban, that it is you that has fought any use of Pakistani troops on the borders, right?
3. You, the Taliban, are harboring al Qaeda's top leadership in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas so you will get more and more attacks in that area. It's simple, give up al Qaeda personnel, attacks stop. Easy, huh?
I'm almost tempted to push for the Taliban taking on this border control - it might be very inviting to see hundreds of Taliban congregated at border checkpoints and then let hellfire fury rain down on these pockets of them - we could literally see death counts of 500 a day.
When it is all said and done, there will come a day when the tribes of the NW area of Pakistan will be pushed over the line where they decide that harboring al Qaeda and the Taliban is more excruciating than seeing some Pakistani troops in the area. We aren't there yet but most indications show that the longer the Taliban and al Qaeda inhabit an area without getting what they want, the more the locals pay the price and when that does happen, it will signal the start of the bloodletting.
The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has said the government of Pakistan should hand over the control of international borders to Taliban if it cannot stop attacks inside Pakistan.I guess the Taliban need some educating here. So, Terry Taliban, pay attention:
According to a report in the Urdu-language newspaper Roznama Jang, Taliban spokesman Maulvi Omar asked the government to prevent future U.S. attacks inside the country’s tribal districts.

Taliban: Pakistan Should Hand Over Border Control To Us
The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has said the government of Pakistan should hand over the control of international borders to Taliban if it cannot stop attacks inside Pakistan.
According to a report in the Urdu-language newspaper Roznama Jang, Taliban spokesman Maulvi Omar asked the government to prevent future U.S. attacks inside the country’s tribal districts.
The Taliban statement follows an attack from a pilotless drone in the federally administered tribal district of Bajaur Agency.
