Ahmadinejad 'Stunned' and 'Furious' Over Israel-Syria Talks

I guess it takes a lot to stun Mahmoud Ahmadinejad but apparently the reports out of the renewed Israeli and Syrian talks are just too much for the little man. Check this out from the article over at JTA:

Iran's leadership reportedly is "in shock" at news of renewed Israeli-Syrian talks. Israeli radio stations, quoting Arab media, reported on Friday that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was "stunned" and "furious" at this week's news of renewed talks, mediated by Turkey.
Now, this is pretty funny that the Iranians would get so caught off guard on this...actually, it seems a little bit too fishy for my liking and I'm gonna go out on a limb that this "shock" on the part of the Iranians is fake. I think this is all an act by the Iranians and that they are solidly behind Syrian talks with the Israelis because they want the prize...the prize is the Golan Heights. From the Golan Heights, a lion's share of Israel would be ripe for rocket and missile attacks and I would guess would be an excellent spy location.

If the Israelis really think that, at this point in time, the Syrians are going to turn their back on big Daddy Iran, they are sorely mistaken. I don't think the Israeli air strike that took out the nuke facility in Syria was nearly enough to scare the buggers out of the Syrians and I think the Golan Heights are the prize they want to secure before the major offensive against Israel that I've been predicting for this summer.

Iranians 'shocked' at new Syria talks

Iran's leadership reportedly is "in shock" at news of renewed Israeli-Syrian talks. Israeli radio stations, quoting Arab media, reported on Friday that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was "stunned" and "furious" at this week's news of renewed talks, mediated by Turkey.

Ahmadinejad regards the talks as a "breach" of Iranian-Syrian commitments, the reports said, and Iranian authorities have instructed Iranian media not to report the news about Israel and Syria until Iran prepares a statement. Other media also have noted Iran's silence on the matter.

Israel's main goal in the talks is to peel Syria away from Iranian influence, shutting down a critical supply line to Hezbollah, the Lebanese terrorist group that still poses a threat to Israel's north. Syria and Israel plan to resume talks in Istanbul in the next week or so, officials in Turkey and Israel said
