There's a terrific article over at FamilySecurityMatters that addresses the view of women in islam and details the current plight of an islamic woman, Dr. Wafa Sultan, who has had to go into hiding with her family to escape a fatwa placed on her for her disagreements and critique of islam. What struck me was some of the admissions of islamists as to the role of women in islam. Look at some of the oppressive views laid out in the article:
And then, there is this gem from a revered islamic scholar (islamic scholar is my term for a maggot who has spent his entire life getting off on studying the pedophilia of Mohammed and due to that, has become perverted and demented) who describes the true role of women in islam:
Now, I'd like to point out a few things here - notice how a muslim woman can be put to death for being in the company of an "unrelated male"? Notice how the scholar says, "nor must she be communicative with her neighbors"? Perhaps some of you remember the uproar in Egypt over the closure of Egyptian coffee houses due to the mingly of unrelated men and women. It is my belief that this is all related and all driven by the following:
1. The prophet Mohammed, or "Mo" as I will refer to him from now on, has been documented as a pedophile. His marriage to a nine year old girl is documented in the Qur'an. Now, some islamic scholars will refute that consummation of that marriage didn't happen until she was in her pre or mid teens but that still qualifies him as a pediophile.
2. Mo's taking of the young Aisha is evidence of his perversion and overall hatred of women. His intention was not to take a wife, his intention was to rob an innocent young girl of any dignity that she would grow into.
3. Mo's sincere distrust of women in general ...his own insecurity in his own masculinity...his phobia of not being able to "keep" a woman has led to all of this oppression of an islamic woman. Consider the act of female circumcision going on in dozens of muslim countries - it's simple, a woman with no clitoris will not stray from her husband.
The net result of all of this is plain. Islam is a political ideology based upon the demented thought pattern of a clinically insane human being, named Mohammed. His prejudices against others in HIS world have created a recognized "religion" that seeks destruction of all others who do not follow his way. And at the same time, Mo could not help himself...he could not stop himself from inserting his perverted and tainted view of women into his "religion." It's there for all to see. Look at it all in this stark manner:
I want you to mentally view three pictures of three scenes from the history of Man on this planet. I want you to notice the similarity between two and the difference in one. Visualize the three following images and you tell me which scene portrays a religious icon and which portrays a madman founder of an ideology:
A traditional Islamic saying is that, "A woman's heaven is beneath her husband's feet." In the Islamic culture, to show someone the bottom of ones shoes, to figuratively place them beneath ones feet, is an insult of the highest order.
The penalty of death is imposed quite frequently on women in the fundamentalist Islamic culture. Offenses that warrant a death sentence under Sharia Law range from un-Islamic dress to being in the presence of an unrelated male.

Islam may well end up destroying this world we all live in - not because it goes against the other ideals held in this world, not because it seeks violent oppression of non-believers and not because it incited terror across the globe. No, islam will destroy this world because it is based on the delusions and perversions and insanity of a madman.
