First off, this is great news! U.S.-led forces killed 40 Taliban in a big offensive in southern Afghanistan and in the killed there was one unnamed Taliban leader. We saw another big success like this just the other day and of course, called for more.
But, what I'd like to focus on here is how this story was reported by an AP writer named RAHIM FAIEZ to Yahoo News here.
Okay, first let's look at the headline:
Is that the most ambiguous headline in the history of war reporting? 40 dead goats? 40 dead civilians? And "Afghan violence" - what is that a protest rally gone bad? Good grief, U.S. and NATO forces put the hurt on Taliban jihadists and this AP writer puts a headline out that makes it sound like Afghan police shot 40 Afghan civilians on the street.
Next, let's look at the words used in this article:
Okay, first off...Taliban fighters are NOT insurgents - the Taliban have been the named enemy in the War in Afghanistan from the very start. It's plain to see that this AP writer just cannot use the word "Taliban." And while we do not know the nationality of the Coalition troops killed in the roadside bomb, the AP, as usual, uses the term "U.S.-led" here - they want Mr. and Mrs. Joe Average American to THINK it was U.S. troops that were killed.
Now, let's look at one more paragraph in this article:
Now, this idiot Faiez from the AP is even downplaying this to be "militants" - he's gone from insurgents to militants! The point is this - this AP writer is a Taliban sympathizer - when the Taliban are killed or kill Coalition forces, they are termed "insurgents" ...this is to portray them as the infamouse freedom fighters. Now, when the Taliban kill innocent civilian Afghan workers, they are labeled as "militants" as in some sort of fringe gang.
The AP has made a mockery of its war reporting both in Afghanistan and in Iraq and quite frankly, the longer that the folks at Yahoo and Reuters and Breitbart support this kind of misinformation and lies, the more we will see it.

Afghan and NATO forces killed more than 40 insurgents in an air and ground battle in southern Afghanistan, a security official said Sunday.
Separately, two soldiers from the U.S.-led coalition died after hitting a roadside bomb.

Now, let's look at one more paragraph in this article:
In the northern province of Jawzjan, five Afghans working on a de-mining team were killed and eight others were wounded when their truck was attacked by militants, said Kefayat Ullah Ablagh, head of the U.N.-funded Afghan Technical Consultants.
