Here's the deal. Al Qaeda in Iraq has relied on for a long time their videos shot in Iraq that are then used as recruiting and propaganda videos shown on jihadist web sites - you've probably seen them...they have some asshat yelling and screaming into a camera, then they show some shaky footage of a U.S. vehicle being hit by an IED and then they chant "allahu ackbar" for an hour and then ask for young Arabs to come join them.
Well, this is what has been happening in Iraq:
With all of the bodies of al Qaeda in Iraq that we are piling up coupled with a serious downturn in recruitment from Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Morocco and Somalia...al Qaeda in Iraq could find their numbers getting very thin!
This is just another example of how smart the U.S. military is working in Iraq and another part of this war that the Leftists here in America have absolutely no clue about.
Here's the brief but full posting at YNET.
Well, this is what has been happening in Iraq:
The US Military said on Saturday it had hampered al Qaeda's ability to recruit new members in Iraq by capturing or killing many of the people who make slick videos used to attract disaffected young Muslims.
US Military spokesman Rear Admiral Greg Smith said that in the past year, 39 al Qaeda members in Iraq responsible for producing and disseminating videos and other material to thousands of Internet Web sites had been captured or killed.
