Al Qaeda Reports Nine Commanders Killed In Afghanistan

Hey al Qaeda...finding the sledding a little rough in southern Afghanistan? Ha! Al Qaeda is reporting that they have lost nine of their commanders recently in battles in southern Afghanistan, more specifically in the Zabul province area that borders Pakistan. Here's the names of the al Qaeda puke that are now dead, dead, dead:

Those killed were identified as Abu Anas, Abu Abdullah Al Asmi, Shuaib Sahrayee and Abu Masaab Al Tami from Saudi Arabia, Khalid and Nauman from Pakistan, Abu Zaki from Kuwait, Jafar from Tajikistan and Abu Musa from Turkey.

Notice the countries - Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Turkey, etc. Who said that Arabs knew how to fight in the mountains??!!
This just goes to show how effective the U.S. and NATO troops have become - we just need more of them in Afghanistan! The key to all of this are that these are al Qaeda LEADERS - we aren't just bopping off peons here and water carriers...these are leadership imports brought out from the Middle East who now get to rot in the mountains of Afghanistan.

I don't know...is it just me or has it been a little quiet from al Qaeda #1 and al Qaeda #2? (Evil Grin)

Here's the full story from KhaleejTimes.

Al Qaeda has lost nine commanders in Afghanistan

PESHAWAR — Al Qaeda has confirmed killing of its nine leading commanders during fighting against the US-led forces and bomb explosions in southern parts of Afghanistan in the recent past.
"Majority of these people have been killed in Zabul province, bordering Pakistan," said Al Qaeda spokesman Ahmad Salman in a statement, received by this scribe yesterday.
Those killed included two Pakistani nationals affiliated to Al Qaeda and four Saudis. The remaining ones belonged to Kuwait, Tajikistan and Turkey.
Ahmad Salman said that a couple of days back a severe clash took place in Zabul province, which caused precious lives to Al Qaeda and Taleban. Similar clashes took place in Helmand and Kandahar provinces of Afghanistan.
Ahmad Salman while disclosing the names of killed persons requested their family members "don’t wait for them anymore. All these nine persons are no more in this world."

Haha, Shark.

There are days when I don't think the Taliban or Al Qaeda could pay some of their chumps enough to be a "leader" or a "commander".

Good.
