Lebanese Prime Minister Leaves Iran But Not Before He Bends Over For the Ayatollah and Gives His Army To Hezbollah and Iran

Okay, if you are a Christian or a Druze in Lebanon, you best get your ass out of that country pronto, because the Prime Minister of Lebanon has handed the keys to the kingdom over to Hezbollah and Iran. The Prime Minister, Saad Hariri, has left Iran after a couple of days of submission to the Ayatollah and the mullahs and the Revolutionary Guard and basically, has put the army of Hezbollah and the Revolutionary Guard of Iran on the same plain as the Lebanese army. It's done. Stick a fork in the country of Lebanon - it is now Iran West.

From the report at DEBKA:

Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri ended his two-day visit to Tehran Monday, Nov. 29, with consent for Iranian Revolutionary Guards officers to take part for the first time in coordinating sessions between Lebanese and Hizballah commanders, debkafile's military and Iranian sources report. Hariri was steered toward this concession in meetings with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and defense minister Ahmed Wahidi. He was told it was the price for an audience with supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

What Hariri's action means is that the Lebanese chief of staff Gen. Jean Kahwaji, will henceforth be obliged to coordinate all his operational decisions and actions with Hizballah's Iranian chief commander, Gen. Hossein Mahadavi of the Al Qods Brigades, as well as the new Hizballah commander on the Israeli front line, Hashim Safi Al-Din, Hassan Nasrallah's cousin and a staunch pro-Iranian loyalist.

debkafile's military sources note that, since Hizballah's top military echelon in Lebanon functions under the operational orders of the joint Iranian-Syrian headquarters in Damascus, so too will the Lebanese army. Therefore, Hariri's concession in Tehran opened the door to the IRGC moving in on the Lebanese army.
I've said it before...the only good thing about all of this is that the next time that Hezbollah creates a new war or crisis with Israel, the Israelis don't have to worry about dodging the Lebanese army with their JDAMs and artillery - it's all one big Shiite family up in Lebanon now and dead Lebanese soldiers score just as high as dead Hezbollah scum.

But we have to remember that the Christians and Druze in Lebanon are a feisty and tough bunch...they've survived a lot of civil war and if this escalates the way it appears it will, we could certainly be looking at a return to the fighting in Lebanon. I wonder, do you suppose Barack Hussein Obama will authoize weapons and advisors to the Lebanese Christians and Druze? hahahahaha....I know, that was a pretty funny joke, wasn't it?

They're dead meat. And the sooner that Israel turns Hezbollahland into glass, the better.

Hariri opens door to Iranian-Hizballah takeover of Lebanon's armed forces

Therefore, Hariri's concession in Tehran opened the door to the IRGC moving in on the Lebanese army.
Khamenei greeted the Lebanese Prime Minister with his new instructions: "You should consolidate relations with Hizballah," he said, explaining: "As long as the occupying Zionist regime exists, Lebanon needs Resistance (a euphemism for Hizballah)."

The supreme leader did not mention the Lebanon's national army forces as a factor in these instructions because, in his mind, Hariri's concession had already waived its autonomy and accepted the inevitability of its merger with Hizballah as a unified force under the latter's superior command.
Ayatollah Khamenei's last remark to his Lebanon visitor was loaded with menace: "If the government and the Resistance form part of the same front, this country will follow the path of greatness and development, and the Zionist regime will not be able to do it the least harm."
And if not? Hariri was given to understand that if Lebanon toes the Iranian-Hizballah line, he and his country will prosper and live in peace. But if not, Lebanon faces the alternative of deathly domestic struggle ending in the triumph of the Hizballah "Resistance."

Oklahoma Judge Sides With Muslims and CAIR, Blocks Oklahoma Sharia Law Banning

Absolute heartache here today, folks as an Oklahoma judge has come out on the side of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and has told the people of Oklahoma to get screwed. The amendment to the Oklahoma state constitution that restricts the use of international law and Sharia Law, which passed with over 70% of the vote of Oklahomans, is now blocked from taking effect because of the ruling of one Judge Vicky Miles-Lagrange.

I have excerpts below from the BBC and also from Logans Warning:

A US federal judge has stopped Oklahoma putting into effect a constitutional amendment to bar courts from considering Islamic law in judgements.

Judge Vicky Miles-Lagrange granted an injunction against the certification of the results of State Question 755.

In her ruling on Monday, Judge Miles-Lagrange said Mr Awad had shown he would have suffered an "injury, specifically, an invasion of his First Amendment rights" if the results of Question 755 were certified.

"Plaintiff has sufficiently set forth a personal stake in this action by alleging that he lives in Oklahoma, is a Muslim, that the amendment conveys an official government message of disapproval and hostility toward his religious beliefs, that sends a clear message he is an outsider, not a full member of the political community, thereby chilling his access to the government and forcing him to curtail his political and religious activities," she explained.

More specifically, this is what the judge had to say further:

“This order addresses issues that go to the very foundation of our country, our (U.S.) Constitution, and particularly, the Bill of Rights. Throughout the course of our country’s history, the will of the ‘majority’ has on occasion conflicted with the constitutional rights of individuals, an occurrence which our founders foresaw and provided for through the Bill of Rights…

“Having carefully reviewed the briefs on this issue, and having heard the evidence and arguments presented at the hearing, the Court finds plaintiff has made a strong showing of a substantial likelihood of success on the merits of his claim asserting a violation of the Free Exercise Clause.

“As set forth above, plaintiff has shown that the actual language of the amendment reasonably, and perhaps more reasonably, may be viewed as specifically singling out Sharia Law (plaintiff’s faith) and, thus, is not facially neutral.

“Additionally, as set forth above, the Court finds that plaintiff has shown that there is a reasonable probability that the amendment would prevent plaintiff’s will from being fully probated by a state court in Oklahoma because it incorporates by reference specific elements of the Islamic prophetic traditions.

Okay, I'm trying to calm down here and I must say, when this judge said a couple of weeks ago that she needed more time, I had a bad feeling about this. But I have a ton of beefs with this decision but let me pick one....the one argument she makes" that because it incorporates by reference specific elements of the Islamic prophetic traditions."

Well, first of all, calling Sharia Law a "tradition" is complete and utter madness and a sign that this judge is completely clueless about Islam. And what is obvious from this ruling is that a muslim in Oklahoma has a RIGHT to a Sharia court that would supercede the current courts in Oklahoma - how can you not read that into this ruling?

Now, let's look at what the plaintiff in this case, the head of CAIR in Oklahoma had to say after the ruling:

Mr Awad said: "We applaud today's ruling and welcome the opportunity it offers to demonstrate that Oklahoma's Muslim community simply seeks to enjoy the civil and religious rights guaranteed to all Americans."

So there you have it - the weapon that the islamists will continually use against us here in America to gain the upper hand in this country - the U.S. Constitution. Think about that statement by Mr. Awad - he argued that the civil rights of American muslims would be violated by this state amendment...yet he didn't point out in his argument that Sharia Law strips every muslim woman of her civil rights according to the definition by the Constitution. You see, Sharia Law and the Constitution are completely incompatible but the islamists are using the very document they seek to override to establish their right to override it.

So what can we do? Well I am not a Constitutional scholar by any means but it seems to me that we have to move forward quickly with legal action that Islam is not a religion. You saw in the judge's ruling where she stated:

plaintiff has presented evidence that there is a reasonable probability that Muslims, including plaintiff, will be unable to bring actions in Oklahoma state courts for violations of the Oklahoma Religious Freedom Act and for violations of their rights under the United States Constitution if those violations are based upon their religion.

And so that is the kicker - as long as Islam is viewed as a religion, it will receive this type of protection. When will someone have the balls and the fortitude to bring Islam to court? When will someone finally make the case in court that just because you call your political ideology a religion, it doesn't protect you under the Constitution?

What we saw yesterday was another terror attack on the United States of America - this one, however, left no dead bodies, no buildings in ruins....no, this was a terror attack by the Soft Jihad....and believe me, it was more effective than more than a dozen 9/11 attacks.

Oklahoma Judge Sides With CAIR and Blocks Sharia ban!

In this disappointing but not surprising update to the elected Sharia ban in Oklahoma Courts, we see that Judge Miles-LaGrange has gone against the will of the people. As she has blocked the certification of the Sharia ban. This is a preliminary injunction, until a final decision is made on the lawsuit. But for now, she just handed Islam a victory.

Here is what the judge had to say.

“Further, plaintiff has presented evidence that there is a reasonable probability that Muslims, including plaintiff, will be unable to bring actions in Oklahoma state courts for violations of the Oklahoma Religious Freedom Act and for violations of their rights under the United States Constitution if those violations are based upon their religion.

“Finally, the Court finds that defendants have presented no evidence which would show that the amendment is justified by any compelling interest or is narrowly tailored.”

This is a perfect example of how Muslims use our freedoms against us, and this also shows us that the US Constitution will not protect us from Islam. Unfortunately it actually enables it.

Of course the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), was thrilled.

“We applaud today’s ruling and welcome the opportunity it offers to demonstrate that Oklahoma’s Muslim community simply seeks to enjoy the civil and religious rights guaranteed to all Americans by our Constitution,” said Awad.

As I have been saying, our laws are not cut out to fight the internal threat of Islam, and if there are not some major changes in them, we will eventually lose this war.

WikiLeaks Proves a Point...America HAS To Make a Stand Against Iran and North Korea

For far too long, America and the West have been simply allowing both the Iranians and the North Koreans not only to get away with bad behavior but looking the other way while they arm themselves with the most powerful weapons known to man. And I don't care who you are, you have to admit that weapons of mass destruction in the hands of the Iranians and the North Koreans is far different than in the hands of countries that have a history of restraint and participation in treaties.

This article at Family Security Matters details just how serious the Iranian and North Korean threats have become and how America simply has no choice than to completely reverse course and make a stand against these enemies of our country. George W. Bush called Iran and North Korea part of the "axis of evil" - and at that time the Left in America went apeshit over the terminology...and now, we see just how correct that President was.

From the FSM article:

But the documents also confirm what many American defense hawks have long suspected. Iran’s missile capabilities are growing rapidly. Tehran bought nineteen North Korean long-range BM-25 rockets, with a range of some 4000 kilometers, based on Russian designs of submarine launched missiles.

Now a month ago David Fulghum of Aviation Week disclosed the new Pyongyang missile. He noted: “Israeli officials in particular have noted the first public emergence in North Korea of the BM-25/Musudan, a weapon that Israeli officials say has already been delivered to Iran. It is the first time the road-mobile, liquid-fueled intermediate range ballistic missile has been shown…”

He further explained the missile is a derivative of the Russian SS-N-6 submarine launched ballistic missile and may have been test-flown in Iran. “The range is estimated between 3,000 km to 4000 km depending on warhead mass.”

The leaked material confirms what Israel missile defense expert retired General Uzi Rubin has been saying for years. The missile cooperation between North Korea and Iran is extensive. Tehran now has the ability to stage its rockets as well as deploy solid-fueled missiles. Rubin has repeatedly warned that Iran now probably exceeds North Korea in its rocket capabilities, and with these new capabilities can now threaten most of Europe.

We also see from the Wikileaks documents that most of the Arab world is shocked at the Iranian moves towards first strike capabilities and wishes for the Iranians to be subdued.

So, that leads me to the obvious question - if 95% of the world is all for taking measures to remove the threat from the Iranians, why isn't it being done? Well, I'll tell you. For upwards of 40 years, the world has shifted its eyes to the United States of America to make the first move in policing the outrageous behavior of rogue regimes and madmen across this world. It's no different today. But what IS different today is the fact that the U.S. is now led by an administration of empty talk and weak-kneed doves.

So, to put it bluntly, we have an American President, Barack Hussein Obama, who won the Nobel Peace Prize one year and stands a good chance of, two years later, being the main reason that the world finds itself involved in World War 3. Weak leaders have always bred attacks. Weak leaders have always spawned wars.

The Need to Take a Stand Against Iran, North Korea

Leaked documents from America’s leftist enemies generally seek to undercut America’s military power. In some respects the new material dumped across the internet and news outlets of America did that. This sad and treasonous behavior will no doubt make it more difficult for the United States to conduct diplomacy or to seek and get the cooperation of our allies.

This is what is very important. For a threat of500 - 3000 kilometers, the Navy deployed Standard Missile (SM) 3 (Block 1B and IIA) and the Israeli Arrow 3 will do. For 3000 – 7000 kilometer missile threats, the new Iran capability, a defense at least as capable as the US built two-stage Ground Based Interceptor is necessary. That was the joint Polish-American system we cancelled.

Since such Iranian missile capability appears to be “here and now”, even the Bush administration’s projected deployment date of 2013-15 for the GBI in Poland would have come shortly after the Iranians purchased the BM-25 North Korean missiles.

An advanced “to be developed” Navy standard missile capable of dealing with Iranian missile threats with ranges greater than 3000 kilometers is the future “name of the game”.

But such a deployment is scheduled only for late in this decade at the earliest.

In short, Houston, we have a problem. And it may be even worse than the leaked cables reveal. The USAF says Iran will have an ICBM capability by 2015 along with an ability to mate such missiles with nuclear weapons.

In short, we are living on borrowed time. Our defense clock is not keeping pace with Iran or North Korea’s threat clock.

What affect will this have? One pundit worries: “[T]he WikiLeaks fiasco crystallizes…a new challenge: Restoring the sense that the United States can effectively project its power.”

He was arguing that the leaked documents revealed an America unable to deliver a deal on Kyoto and global warming. We appeared weak. True.

But the real problem? Iran, North Korea, China and Russia all are working to enhance Tehran’s hegemonic missile capabilities to prevent exactly that—the projection of American power.

This new confirmation of Iran’s growing missile capabilities undermines the narrative on missile defense just recently pushed by the New York Times, for example. The Times says we have made real progress in the recent NATO agreement on missile defenses—which we have. But they say current technology is being used to the maximum extent possible in current planned missile defense deployments—not true.

Unfortunately, we have slowed or delayed or cancelled some of our missile defense technology. On the other hand, Iran’s capability to launch rockets is being enhanced. They are going forward, rapidly.

Many missile defense critics repeatedly claimed Western European areas—including such cities as London, Bonn and Paris-- were safe from Iranian missile threats. That is the reason the planned deployment of GBI’s in Poland was cancelled.

But the leaked documents vividly illustrate that we really do need a European and American defense from long-range Iranian rockets. What we need is a very fast missile interceptor. Our two-stage ground-based interceptor to defend the western European portions of NATO does the job. So would a Navy SM with a speed of 4.5+ kilometers a second. We have tested the former; we are developing the latter. Let’s deploy what we have now.

We know Iran’s terrorism in the Middle East is of the same cloth as the North Korean shelling of the Republic of Korea or its sinking of a South Korean naval vessel. Tehran’s missiles serve the same purpose as Pyongyang’s bombs.

We thus face a choice. The US can seek to curry favor with both tyrants in power in Pyongyang and Tehran and “seek a deal”. We can continue to believe that killing citizens of the ROK is somehow, as former President Carter said, simply a message that North Korea is in pursuit of “respect”, kind of a new 10-step program that involves murder, mayhem and even more murder.

Or we can recognize both Iran and North Korea are in the business of aggression and terror. In one leaked document, the head of Saudi Arabia is quoted as saying America needs to go to Tehran and “cut off the head of the snake”. Good idea. The second stop should be Pyongyang. Faster, please.

Tragedy: Six American Troops Killed In Eastern Afghanistan By Afghan Uniformed Policeman During Training Mission

This is one of the worst we have seen of our troops being killed by so-called "friendlies." This Afghan policeman certainly was not a friendly or even an ally and the Taliban are now claiming that they planted him in the Afghan police unit to do just this. Here's the details from DAWN:

An Afghan border policeman killed six American servicemen during a training mission on Monday, underscoring one of the risks in a US-led program to educate enough recruits to turn over the lead for security to Afghan forces by 2014.

The shooting in a remote area near the Pakistani border appeared to be the deadliest attack of its kind in at least two years.

Attacks on Nato troops by Afghan policemen or soldiers, although still rare, have increased as the coalition has accelerated the program. Other problems with the rapidly growing security forces include drug use, widespread illiteracy and high rates of attrition.

A spokesman for the Afghan Interior Ministry, Zemeri Bashary, confirmed that the gunman in Monday’s attack was a border police officer rather than an insurgent who donned the uniform for a day.

The Taliban claimed responsibility, saying the gunman joined the border police to kill foreign soldiers.

”Today he found this opportunity and he killed six invaders,” Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said in a statement e-mailed to the media.

The shooter opened fire on the Nato troops and then was killed in the shootout, Nato said, without providing additional details.
Now, I want to express some caution here as Bill Roggio's article on this does not identify the troops killed as American - his piece only lists them as ISAF troops but this DAWN article does identify them and unfortunately, I think DAWN is right this time.

And I have no reason to doubt the Taliban in their statement about planting this guy in the border police - this isn't some disgruntled Afghan - if it was he would have probably sprayed some of his own at the same time.

But this is tragic - our troops, in this scenario, simply are not going to be capable of defending themselves and I'm at a loss as to how we safeguard against this happening. Obviously, there has to be some trust of the Afghans to do some policing on their side but if you've read anything about these Afghan troops and police recruits...well, half the time they are either doped up or are dumb as fenceposts. I simply don't know how you keep Taliban plants out of this scenario.

Afghan police officer kills six US service members

KABUL: An Afghan border policeman killed six American servicemen during a training mission on Monday, underscoring one of the risks in a US-led program to educate enough recruits to turn over the lead for security to Afghan forces by 2014.

Col. Dave Lapan, a Pentagon spokesman, confirmed that the six killed were American. He declined to provide their identities or say which military branch they were from until next of kin could be notified.

Bashary said the incident happened in the Pachir Wagam district of Nangarhar province, a volatile area near Pakistan.

An investigation team has been sent to Pachir Wagam, said Gen. Aminullah Amerkhail, the regional border police commander for the east. But he said information was not coming back quickly.

”The area is very remote,” he said. ”Even the telephones are not working there.”

Nato is still investigating an incident earlier this month in which two US Marines were killed in southern Helmand province, allegedly at the hands of an Afghan soldier.

After two deadly shootings in July, Nato officers said they were re-examining training practices to make sure that such attacks did not happen again.

On July 20, an Afghan army sergeant got into an argument at a shooting range in northern Afghanistan and shot dead two American civilian trainers before being killed. Another Afghan soldier was killed in the crossfire.

A week earlier, an Afghan soldier stationed in the south killed three British troopers, including the company commander, with gunfire and a rocket-propelled grenade in the middle of the night.

In November 2009, an Afghan policeman killed five British soldiers at a checkpoint in Helmand.

On Sept. 29, 2008, an Afghan police officer opened fire at a police station in eastern Paktia province, killing a US soldier and wounding three before he was fatally shot. A Nato official expressed shock at the time that an Afghan officer would betray his Nato partners.

At the time, Col. John ”Pete” Johnson, a US forces commander in eastern Afghanistan, predicted it would be ”the first incident of its kind.”

The recent increase in such shootings suggests that the Afghan security forces may be suffering from growing pains. In the past year, the size of the Afghan police force grew 27 percent from about 95,000 officers to 120,500. The army increased 42 percent from 97,000 soldiers to about 138,200.

There have been also been problems with retention, and even those who stay often are lacking the most basic skills.

Only 11 percent of enlisted personnel and 35 percent of noncommissioned officers in Afghanistan’s army and police are literate, according to Nato trainers. And before Nato took over the training mission for the security forces, many Afghan police recruits were issued uniforms and guns and sent out to postings without any sort of training in weapons or law enforcement.

Drug use is also common among the police, though Nato trainers say they are doing a better job of screening for drugs and kicking out addicts. Those testing positive for heroine or other hard drugs are immediately discharged, while those testing positive for marijuana use are put on probation while they kick the habit. – AP

U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Allows Illegal Alien Sex Offender To Escape Deportation, Obama's Justice Dept. Looks the Other Way

The hits just keep coming from the Leftist Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco and also from the U.S. Department of Justice as yet again, we see illegal aliens being given chance after chance to break the laws of this country and expose our citizens to the illicit behavior of some of them.

From the article at Family Security Matters:

But Nunez appealed, claiming that his conviction for indecent exposure was not a crime involving moral turpitude. To be convicted of this crime under California law, the offender must be shown to have willfully exposed his private parts in a public place or in a place where there are unwilling persons. Under the law, he also must “intentionally direct attention to his genitals for sexual purposes.” For his conviction, it was necessary for the government to show that Nunez intended to direct attention to his genitals for sexual purposes; his conviction demonstrates, specifically, that he sought to sexually arouse or gratify himself or his victim.

But to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals based in San Francisco, there was no “moral turpitude” evident in Nunez’s crime. In an opinion by Judge Stephen Reinhardt, the deportation order was reversed. Nunez gets to stay. Reinhardt reasoned that indecent exposure is not necessarily a crime involving moral turpitude.

Judge Reinhardt downplays the seriousness and immoral nature of the crime, saying for example that what constitutes moral turpitude is “amorphous” and “could well divide residents of red states from residents of blue states.”

That’s comforting. I’m glad I don’t have to raise my children in the blue states if Judge Reinhardt is right.

So why doesn’t the Department of Justice appeal Judge Reinhardt’s opinion about indecent exposure by illegal aliens? Does Attorney General Eric Holder agree with it?

Of course, Judge Reinhardt does not have the best record when his cases are appealed to the Supreme Court. The Ninth is reversed by the Supreme Court more than any other. Even when writing for a unanimous Ninth Circuit, Judge Reinhardt may be the judge most reversed by the Supreme Court.
What kind of a statement is that from a judge on a Circuit Court? "could well divide residents of red states from residents of blue states"....???? What kind of political talk is that coming from a court?

We are seeing more and more the tendency for radical judges like this Reinhardt legislating from the bench and without a Justice Department to oversee that and squash it, it can only get worse. We see above that Reinhardt's decisions are overturned more by the Supreme Court than any other judges - so get the mutherfucker off the bench! What gives this cretin a free pass from criticism in this country?

So, this illegal alien gets to stay in America ....he gets to go around and expose his junk to school girls because Judge Reinhardt is worried about the rights of people in blue states. Is everyone cool with their 8 year old daughter being exposed to this illegal alien? And what if this scumbag decides to take his perversion to the next level? Is the rape of a 12 year old girl by this pig gonna get a free pass from Judge Reinhardt too?

Administration Shields Sexually Deviant Illegals and Supports DREAM Act

Victor Nunez is an illegal alien from Mexico. Two years after arriving in the United States, he was convicted of petty theft for shoplifting. Then, he was convicted of a much more serious crime: He exposed himself in public. But even that wasn’t enough to have him removed from the country.

After a decade of his illegal presence, the Department of Homeland Security finally brought immigration charges to remove him from the United States. Crimes of “moral turpitude,” like exposing your genitals to children, are supposed to result in certain deportation.

The Immigration Judge denied his application, and the Board of Immigration Appeals affirmed, finding that he had two convictions for “crimes involving moral turpitude,” which under the immigration laws, makes one ineligible for the green card Nunez was seeking. Nunez was on a fast track back to Mexico.

This decision demonstrates a pervasive relativism that is infecting American jurisprudence, and most of the public has no idea it is happening. The law used to be about objective right and objective wrong. The plain meaning of words governed the law.

It is true that the Obama Justice Department defended the ruling of the Immigration Judge and the Board before the Ninth Circuit, and would undoubtedly express disappointment over the decision. But if so, why has it done nothing to continue to fight the case? The Eric Holder Justice Department never even sought rehearing en banc (asking all the judges on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals to rehear the case), or asked the Supreme Court to take the case and reverse Judge Reinhardt.

Does the Justice Department share Judge Reinhardt’s view that an illegal immigrant’s public exposure of his genitals does not satisfy the term “moral turpitude” thereby meriting deportation?

Why didn’t it appeal? The decision is far outside of the mainstream and not consistent even with the left-of-center California Supreme Court’s interpretation of sexual crimes. In fact, it is even inconsistent with an en banc decision of the Ninth Circuit from last year, Marmolejo-Campos v. Holder. The entire Ninth Circuit held that what constitutes moral turpitude should be decided by the Board of Immigration appeals, not Judge Stephen Reinhardt.

The Obama Administration claims that it is vigorously enforcing the nation’s immigration laws. The Justice Department’s unprecedented lawsuit against Arizona for trying to address illegal immigration proves otherwise. It has also been exposed through the release of internal memos that show the Obama Administration making contingency plans to implement amnesty by administrative fiat if the Congress fails to pass comprehensive immigration reform.

The Administration has already begun implementing those plans through formal new DHS directives to its career enforcement officials, ordering them not to enforce the immigration laws for what it calls “minor vehicular offenses,” if they were committed by illegal aliens who have received a high school diploma and attended two years of college. In other words, if they satisfy the amnesty requirements of a proposed law not yet passed by Congress called the DREAM Act, the DHS orders an effective amnesty.

That’s right, the Administration is enforcing a policy that has yet to pass Congress. Welcome to Legal Wonderland. Curiouser and curiouser it is.

When questioned about administrative amnesty proposals, the DHS press flunkies say “DHS will not grant deferred action or humanitarian parole to the nation's illegal immigrant population." They say they will not suspend enforcement of immigration laws. And in truth, they don’t suspend the current laws for ALL illegal aliens, only for some.

They are giving breaks to a larger and select groups of illegal aliens. This is worse than a backdoor amnesty. This is a backdoor amnesty that flaunts the rule of law. No matter your individual beliefs about immigration policy, in a nation governed by the rule of law, as passed by Congress, we should all agree the Executive Branch can’t suspend laws they simply disagree with.

The Administration has never openly stated they are suspending the enforcement of the immigration laws against sexual offenders, and in fact claims that serious criminals are its highest priority. Yet, the Justice Department is doing nothing to fight extreme pro-criminal alien decisions like this one from Judge Reinhardt.

And this case is certainly not unique among Ninth Circuit decisions rejecting government efforts to remove criminal aliens for sexual crimes. In May, the Ninth Circuit ruled in Rivera-Cuartas v. Holder, that an Arizona statue that made sexual conduct with a minor under the age of 18 years old illegal is not always “sexual abuse of a minor.” This, despite the reality that under federal law such behavior is considered an aggravated felony and almost always results in removal from the United States. The Holder Justice Department has not fought back and appealed this bad decision either.

The Obama Administration’s failure to vigorously enforce the immigration laws is becoming increasingly clear, and its failure to appeal bad decisions protecting sexual offenders like Nunez is dangerous. Department of Justice inaction will prevent many other sexual offenders from being removed from the country, at least if they live in the Ninth Circuit. DOJ inaction speaks louder than spin.

Judge Reinhardt is quoted as once saying in reference to the Supreme Court, “They can’t catch them all.” He is right about that, especially if the Justice Department doesn’t even try

Pakistani Court Rules That Prime Minister Is Barred From Pardoning Pakistani Christian Woman Sentenced To Death For Blasphemy Against Islam

So, it appears that Pakistani Christian, Asia Bibi, has one more chance to live and that is her appeal in court to overturn the death sentence she received for blaspheming Islam as a Pakistani court has ruled that a pardon from Pakistan's Prime Minister is not legal.

From the report at Reuters via Breitbart:

A Pakistani court Monday barred President Asif Ali Zardari from pardoning a Christian woman sentenced to death on charges of insulting Islam, in a case that has sparked criticism over the country's blasphemy law.

Asia Bibi, a 45-year-old mother of four, requested a pardon from the president after a lower court sentenced her to death on Nov 8 in a case stemming from a village dispute.

The Lahore High Court barred Zardari from pardoning Bibi in a petition filed by Shahid Iqbal, a Pakistani citizen. Iqbal's lawyer Allah Bux Laghari told Reuters a pardon was illegal as the court was already hearing an appeal against her sentence.

We believe it is the court's duty to evaluate the evidence against her, not individuals, and if she is found innocent, she should be freed," he said.
Now, I have blogged about this story earlier and pointed out at that time that the blasphemy that Bibi is accused of came from a handful of her neighbors who are Muslims - the evidence is paper thin but the lower court was quick to hand down the death sentence. Since then, I've thought about it a bit and for those Americans who feel that Sharia Law isn't such a bad thing and that islamists in America should be afforded this part of their "religion", then this is what you will see in America. You see, this ruling, this sentence IS Sharia Law.

We saw the Iranians back down on the highly publicized stoning conviction of a woman but this news now seems to make it almost impossible for the Pakistan government to step in - I guess that Bibi's only hope is that the appeals court feels the pressure to do the right thing, the sane thing .... if there is any sanity in Islam.

(Reuters) - A Pakistani court Monday barred President Asif Ali Zardari from pardoning a Christian woman sentenced to death on charges of insulting Islam, in a case that has sparked criticism over the country's blasphemy law.

We believe it is the court's duty to evaluate the evidence against her, not individuals, and if she is found innocent, she should be freed," he said.

Human rights groups have demanded the repeal of the law, which they say discriminates against religious minorities who make up roughly 4 percent of Pakistan's 170 million population.

Last week, a government minister said an initial inquiry into the case of the Christian mother said she had not committed blasphemy but was falsely accused after a quarrel.

Blasphemy convictions are common although the death sentence has never been carried out. Most convictions are thrown out on appeal, but angry mobs have killed many people accused of blasphemy.

CT Roller Rink Tells Muslim Woman She Can't Wear Hijab, CAIR Swoops In To Protest

Okay, there's a roller skating rink in Connecticut that has a safety rule that no one can wear anything on their head that isn't secured - I believe the obvious is that if someone has, say a stocking cap or baseball cap on, and that cap or hat falls off, another skater could hit that cap and slip and injure themselves. Makes sense, doesn't it? Well, it doesn't make sense to a muslim woman or the local Connecticut director of CAIR - they claim it is obviously religious persecution against muslims!

From the report at Fox News:

A roller skating rink in Connecticut is standing behind its decision to ask a Muslim woman to remove her headscarf because it could present a danger to skaters if it fell off.

Marisol Rodriguez-Colon was set to attend her 4-year-old niece’s birthday party at Ron-A-Roll but apparently didn’t make it very far past the check-in counter before she was stopped by a rink employee, who offered her two options: remove her headscarf or wear a helmet over it.

Rodriguez-Colon said she felt “mortified” when an employee at a rink asked her to wear a helmet on top of her religious headscarf, or hijab.

We are not insensitive to people’s religion,” she said. “We just focus on safety.”

In a statement to FoxNews.com, Ron-A-Roll said it has a policy that prohibits headwear to be worn in the building. Safety helmets are offered to those that are unable to remove headwear for any reason, because they are secured with a chin strap.

Ron-A-Roll’s meticulous attention to details, in this case, is troubling to Mongi Dhaouadi, the executive director of the Connecticut office for the Council on American-Islamic Relations

Dhaouadi said the rink has all but turned a deaf ear when he asked to talk about the matter.

“These were two women who were not allowed in because they wore this headscarf,” he said.

“They were shouting that they were going to sue,” said Gallo.

The worker told Gallo that all she needed to do was put a helmet over the headscarf.

“The kids were having a great time, but they had to make it a racial thing,” Gallo told FoxNews.com. “It really shouldn’t be.”

Is anyone else out there just a little more than sick of this bullshit? You see, there are no laws or rules in America for muslims - they have the right to do anything they damn well please. I find it interesting that a muslim woman, in her own "religion" and under sharia law has no more rights than a goat, is all of a sudden the martyr for all muslim rights in America. We have these spineless wimpy men from CAIR rush into situations like this appalled at the treatment of their muslim women yet when those same women get home to these wimpy muslim men at home, they are raped and beaten and treated like cattle.

At what point in time are the law enforcement officials and courts going to simply laugh these clowns out of the building? If you're a muslim woman and you go to a place that outlaws headwear, THEN GO SOMEPLACE ELSE, dipshit.

Connecticut Roller Rink Defends Policy on Headscarves After Muslim Woman Complains

But Jennifer Conde, the operations manager at the Ron-A-Roll, said the rink’s main priority is the safety of its patrons.

“We are not insensitive to people’s religion,” she said. “We just focus on safety.”

In a statement to FoxNews.com, Ron-A-Roll said it has a policy that prohibits headwear to be worn in the building. Safety helmets are offered to those that are unable to remove headwear for any reason, because they are secured with a chin strap.

Each roller rink has its own rules. In many cases, these rules are tailored to fit their unique clientele.

The Roller Skating Association, through a lawyer, said that the “recommendation from the RSA is to not infringe on the use of recognized religious headgear unless the use of the headgear would expose other patrons to a risk that would not be otherwise present.”

Ron-A-Roll has a history of inflexibility to its rules, even when they turn out to be public relation nightmares.

Back in January, a bald woman suffering from cancer left the rink when employees insisted that she wear a helmet over her head scarf. Friends of the woman created a Facebook page calling for the boycott of the rink.

Frank Schiazza, the owner of CN Skate Palace in Pennsylvania, said he has a "no hat" rule at his rink but never forced a Muslim woman to remove her scarf.

“They usually don’t fly off,” he said.

“They had absolutely no intention to skate.”

The women told Dhaouadi that few people at the rink were wearing a helmet at the time.

“I’m hoping it’s a misunderstanding,” he said.

Janine Gallo, who organized the party, said she signed a contract that assured the club that the rules would be followed by her guests. The two women, according to Gallo, were not on the roster and created an unnecessary scene.

“They were shouting that they were going to sue,” said Gallo.

The worker told Gallo that all she needed to do was put a helmet over the headscarf.

“The kids were having a great time, but they had to make it a racial thing,” Gallo told FoxNews.com. “It really shouldn’t be.”

China Groped Us

This article over at Family Security Matters deals with that mysterious missile contrail that was observed and filmed off of California a few weeks ago - there has been tons of speculation as to who would and could have fired off this missile so close to American soil, if indeed, it wasn't one of our own. To this day, no one from the U.S. military or government has admitted it was ours. So the author of this article claims it was the Chinese. And that it was meant to send a very clear signal.

From the article:

On November 8th, a KCBS-TV news helicopter filmed a missile launched a few miles off the California coast! The video shows a smoke plume rising from the ocean just north of Catalina Island, well inside US territorial waters, heading west over the Pacific Ocean. No one has claimed the mystery missile. No one has said why or how it was done. So let us examine some facts and make a reasonable guess.

Brigadier Cash states that “there is absolutely no doubt” the video shows a missile launch near California, that it would have been detected by NORAD, and that the President was told about it. A subsequent decision to notify the public could only be made by the President. Nothing was said. Why?

The plume shown in the video was likely from an ICBM launched from a Chinese Type 092 Jin class ballistic missile submarine. (Russian subs can also fire such missiles, but Moscow is panting for the Senate to ratify the START treaty, so why risk scaring the Senators?)

Second, the missile launch took place just before President Obama was to meet with his Chinese counterpart in Seoul. He would have known about it as he shook hands with the chief Chinese communist.

China groped us. And if President Obama still does not understand what else the Chinese promise to do, he should look at the faces of sailors he reviewed in Beijing. They clearly intend to grope us. Again.

In all of this speculation, we have to keep in mind one distinct fact - we now have a U.S. President that is viewed as weak militarily by every government in the world - both friendly and adversarial. That cannot be disputed. America has become a new target for the jihadis like a dead horse in the desert attracts buzzards. And we have more than a handful of threatening gestures made towards the U.S. made by peon rogue regimes like North Korea, Iran and Venezuela. Yep, we have a sissy boy in the White House and the whole damn world knows it.

So, we have the Chinese reminding us that they can get within striking distance of Los Angeles and San Francisco, the North Koreans lobbing artillery towards American troops in the DMZ in South Korea and Iran shipping weapons into Afghanistan to kill U.S. troops...and I have critiques that tell me I am paranoid about our chances of survival with this Commander-in-chief in charge. I'd like to ask the American people a question: Do you feel safer now than you did two years ago?

China Groped Us

A Los Angeles woman, traveling by air the day before Thanksgiving, did not want radiation from an airport ‘naked body’ X-Ray scanner; she also did not want TSA goons to grope her. So she wore a revealing bikini and avoided both radiation and groping. The Obama White House is not nearly so clever. China groped the missile defenses of our homeland and President Obama said and did nothing. No one noticed. Well, almost no one.

Experts agree the missile was large, as big as an intercontinental ballistic missile—an ICBM. It is not possible for an amateur rocket club to launch such a rocket from Catalina Island without being seen. No ships were on the surface. No rockets were launched from American bases in California. The U.S. Navy says none of our subs did it. And if you insist the plume is an aircraft contrail, remember there were no airliners in the area at the exact time and place—then go online and watch the video.

An accidental launch? Contrary to Hollywood, there is no ‘red button’ that launches an ICBM. Two keys must be simultaneously turned, and several other steps taken before the missile can be fired. A secret test? The Pentagon denies it. And besides, aviators and sailors are always warned of the time, path, and impact point of rockets that might endanger them. All nations make such announcements well in advance.

Could the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), our global ICBM monitoring system, have detected the launch of an ICBM so extremely close to our coast?

NORAD has made no public statement, but retired Air Force Brigadier Jim Cash posted a comment on the Catalina Island launch. General Cash was a Command Director and the Assistant Director of Operations for NORAD. He states the NORAD system is manned by 150 highly trained people 24/7, and can detect a missile shot “from any point on the globe.” If the missile looks threatening, the President is immediately notified by the officer always near him who carries the “football,” a brief case containing the launch codes for our nuclear forces.

Did our anti-submarine warfare (ASW) systems know the Jin was there? Was it tracked across the Pacific? No, the old SOSUS hydrophones are no longer manned and maintained by Navy ASW experts. The SOSUS sound arrays that have not been destroyed are now sometimes used by scientists to track whales. So Defense Secretary Robert Gates simply could not know a Chinese submarine was in U.S. waters—or if it is still there.

The ballistic missile the Jin launched was probably a JP-2 Giant Wave, China’s latest. It is thought to have multiple warheads and a range of 5,000 miles. Leaping out of the ocean near Catalina, it traveled northwest and was destroyed in flight over the Pacific. Or it fell into the far western Pacific or a missile range inside China.

Why would the Peoples Republic of China do such a thing? Two reasons come to mind.

First, the Chinese government has made serious objections to U.S. warships in the South China Sea, international waters China claims are its own. What could drive the point home better than a Chinese warship in American waters? Senior Chinese officers also make blunt threats now, like Colonel Meng Xianging who promised a “hand to hand fight with the US” within ten years, “when we are strong enough.” And Major General Yang Yi, who said, “We must make them hurt.” He meant the United States.

Again.

It's Official... If You're a Taliban In North Waziristan, Get Out of the Car! 4 Taliban Killed in Drone Strike

Yep. Another car or truck full of Taliban didn't quite make it to their destination today as hellfires from U.S. predator drones struck the vehicle and killed four Taliban. Sweet.

From the article at The Long War Journal:

Today the US launched yet another airstrike in the Mir Ali area of Pakistan's Taliban-controlled tribal agency of North Waziristan, killing four terrorists in a strike on a vehicle as it traveled in an area known to host al Qaeda operatives plotting and training to carry out attacks against the West.

Unmanned Predators or the more heavily armed and deadly Reapers fired a pair of missiles at a vehicle as it traveled in the village of Hasan Khel in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, AFP reported.

Four Taliban fighters were reported killed, but no senior al Qaeda or Taliban fighters have been reported killed in the strike.

The Mir Ali area is in the sphere of influence of Abu Kasha al Iraqi, an al Qaeda leader who serves as a key link to the Taliban and supports al Qaeda's external operations network. Taliban leader Hafiz Gul Bahadar and the Haqqani Network also operate in the Mir Ali area. Mir Ali is a known hub for al Qaeda's military and external operations councils.

The Taliban in North Waziristan must have a complex by now - if they hunker down in their huts and compounds, the predator drone Reapers find them and blow them to oblivion and if they try to conduct the bin Laden tactic of moving from place to place, they get taken out in their vehicles. And it doesn't matter if it is day or if it is night.

I've said it before - the most effective aspect of this predator drone strategy in North Waziristan is that it has led to the Taliban refusing to hold their planning sessions and meetings - we simply see the Taliban leaders and jihadis staying in smaller cells and that is a good thing. If you look at the number of cross border operations into Afghanistan lately, you'll see what I mean - they are way down. We have to remember that years ago, the Taliban would reassemble in North Waziristan and literally have 100 to 200 of their fighters and leaders together for the big powwow. Not anymore.

US Predators kill 4 'militants' in Mir Ali

Since Sept. 8, a total of 16 Germans and two Britons have been reported killed in Predator strikes in the Mir Ali area. The Europeans were members of the Islamic Jihad Group, an al Qaeda affiliate based in the Mir Ali area. The IJU members are believed to be involved in a recently discovered al Qaeda plot that targeted several major European cities and was modeled after the terror assault on the Indian city of Mumbai in 2008.

This year, the US has been pounding targets in the Datta Khel, Miramshah, and Mir Ali areas of North Waziristan in an effort to kill members involved in the European plot. Al Qaeda and allied terror groups such as the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, the Islamic Jihad Group, the Eastern Turkistan Islamic Party, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, and a number of Pakistani and Central and South Asian terror groups host or share camps in the region.

Despite the known presence of al Qaeda and other foreign groups in North Waziristan, and requests by the US that action be taken against these groups, the Pakistani military has indicated that it has no plans to take on Bahadar or the Haqqani Network. Bahadar and the Haqqanis are considered "good Taliban" by the Pakistani military establishment as they do not carry out attacks inside Pakistan.

The Predator strikes, by the numbers

Today's strike is the 14th US attack in Pakistan this month. Six of those strikes have hit targets in the Mir Ali area.

The pace of the strikes since the beginning of September is unprecedented since the US began the air campaign in Pakistan in 2004. September's record number of 21 strikes was followed by 16 strikes in October. The previous monthly high was 11 strikes in January 2010, after the Taliban and al Qaeda executed a successful suicide attack at Combat Outpost Chapman that targeted CIA personnel who were active in gathering intelligence for the Predator campaign in Pakistan. In the bombing at COP Chapman, seven CIA officials and a Jordanian intelligence officer were killed.

The US has carried out 105 attacks inside Pakistan this year, and in December is set to double last year's number of strikes. In late August, the US exceeded last year's strike total of 53 with a strike in Kurram. In 2008, the US carried out a total of 36 strikes inside Pakistan. [For up-to-date charts on the US air campaign in Pakistan, see LWJ Special Report, Charting the data for US airstrikes in Pakistan, 2004 - 2010.]

This year the strikes have overwhelmingly been confined to North Waziristan. All but nine of this year's 105 strikes have taken place in that tribal agency. Of the nine strikes that have occurred outside of North Waziristan, seven took place in South Waziristan, one occurred in Khyber, and one took place in Kurram.

Since Sept. 1, the US has ramped up airstrikes against the terror groups in North Waziristan, with 51 strikes Predator strikes in the tribal agency. Many of the strikes targeted cells run by the Islamic Jihad Group, which have been plotting to conduct the Mumbai-styled terror assaults in Europe. A Sept. 8 strike killed an IJU commander known as Qureshi, who specialized in training Germans to conduct attacks in their home country.

The US campaign in northwestern Pakistan has targeted top al Qaeda leaders, al Qaeda's external operations network, and Taliban leaders and fighters who threaten both the Afghan and Pakistani states as well as support al Qaeda's external operations. [For a list of al Qaeda and Taliban leaders killed in the US air campaign in Pakistan, see LWJ Special Report, Senior al Qaeda and Taliban leaders killed in US airstrikes in Pakistan, 2004 - 2010.]

Heartache: Indian President Kisses Arab Ass On Trip To Syria

A sign of the times I guess as India becomes one of those nations who USED to have a conscience and now has buckled to islamic terror and influence in this world as the President of India made a visit to Syria where she claimed that India was fully supportive of Arab goals in the Middle East and that it is Israel's fault that there isn't a Middle East peace agreement.

From the article at Haaretz:

Indian President Pratibha Patil said that India fully supported the return of the Golan Heights to Syria during a joint press conference with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in Damascus, Israel Radio reported Saturday.

The Indian president said that India had consistently supported Arab goals in the region, and sought a peace agreement in accordance with UN resolutions.

Assad said in the conference that Israel's policies hindered the Mideast peace process, harming economic development in the region.

Assad thanked Patil for her support and added that the Syria and India could help end the suffering of the Palestinian people.

All of this comes from a President whose country has literally been at war with muslim Pakistan for decades - but oh no, she's all for the muslims now, right?

As for her idea that it is only right that the Syrians be given the Golan Heights back, well, I'll let you what Ms. Indian President...let's snatch up Kashmir and give that to the Pakistanis or the Iranians...how do you feel about that, shit for brains?

I'm tired of this lip service and bending over that the likes of Syria get on the world stage - Syria is a worthless sack of nickels - they can barely survive in this world yet every world leader visits their desolate worthless country and kisses up to them. I'm extremely disappointed in this Indian President - as the number of potential allies of Israel shrinks and shrinks with each day.

Indian president backs Syria's claim on the Golan Heights

Indian President Pratibha Patil said that India fully supported the return of the Golan Heights to Syria during a joint press conference with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in Damascus, Israel Radio reported Saturday.

Patil is visiting Syria as part of her visit to the region, aimed to encourage mutual investment opportunities between the two countries.

Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Moallem criticized Friday stalled peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians, warning that closing the horizons to peace could lead to war in the Middle East.

"The possibility of war always exists in our region since Israel almost always scandalously evades the commitment to peace," said Moallem. "There is no doubt that closing the horizons to peace could lead to war," he said.

North Korea? The U.S. Cannot and Will Not Pull the Trigger

With the recent rogue behavior of North Korea, the world and the American people have turned to Washington D.C. and Barack Hussein Obama to see what the American response will be and basically there has been no response...and there simply won't be one. At this stage right now, the Obama administration is hoping and praying (to whatever god they honor today) that simply the North Koreans leave their actions with just that one attack on that one South Korean island.

The bottom line of all of this is spelled out in this article at Family Security Matters where it is pointed out that North Korea is simply an extension of Red China and since the Chinese have the United States of America by the balls financially, the U.S. is simply a paper tiger in this scenario.

From the article:

China provides life support for North Korea, the supplier of food and energy. In his 2004 book, “Rogue State: How a Nuclear North Korea Threatens America”, William C. Triplett II, noted that “communist China is central to all North Korean issues, from human rights to weapons proliferation.”

Whatever North Korea does is sanctioned by China. This fact has been largely shielded by U.S. policy from the American public. North Korea is known in diplomatic circles as “China’s hidden dagger.” The phrase is taken from an ancient Chinese military text called “36 Srategems.” It means the covert use of another country to annihilate your enemy. North Korea threatens South Korea and Japan, and by extension the U.S. which is committed to come to its defense.

America is in no position to fight another war on the Korean peninsula and is dependent on China (and Japan) to purchase its securities to keep its economy functioning in the wake of the 2008 economic crisis. America’s manufacturing base has largely been undermined by the transfer of many of our industries to China.

Americans have largely forgotten the threat of communism.

The latest North Korean attacks are China’s way of reminding the U.S. of its dilemma and dependence.

Now I ask you, when is the last time you saw our United States of America neutered militarily because we were indebted to an enemy? Right ....never before. And quite frankly, that better frighten the American people more than any Chinese military buildup or any enemy alliance that is formed against us. We have the military and technology to defeat any foe but at this point in time, we have one enemy who simply holds all of the cards.

I guess the upside of all of this for Barack Hussein Obama is that he has gotten what he wanted - he sought the U.S. to join the ranks of France and Britain as once powers who now sit on the sidelines of world events hoping that they won't be marked for aggression. Obama has achieved his goal of dropping the American position in this world to a dependent bystander whose very existence is dependent upon the mercy of its enemy.

North Korea, China's Hidden Dagger

The Korean War ended in a stalemate in 1953. Having begun on June 25, 1950 with the blessings of Joseph Stalin, an armistice agreement on July 27, 1953 left the peninsula divided between the Republic of South Korea and the Peoples Republic of North Korea. How long ago was that? Dwight D. Eisenhower was elected largely on the promise to go there and secure an end to the conflict

By the time it was over the Red Chinese had intervened and American casualties were around 54,000 with 103,000 wounded. The North Koreans and Chinese were estimated to have lost ten times that number. The war was immensely unpopular with an American public that was still recovering from World War Two that had ended in 1945.

To his credit, President Truman did not hesitate to commit troops. Within two days after the invasion, Americans were fighting another war in Asia. The United Nations provided cover and the conflict was officially a UN action.

It was a proxy war, part of the long Cold War that had begun at the end of World War Two. The Chinese got involved when Gen. Douglas McArthur’s strategies put U.S. troops close to their border. He wanted to finish off not just the North Koreans, but the fledgling communist Chinese government as well. Truman relieved him of command after he neglected the fact that U.S. armies fight under civilian control in the form of an elected Commander-in-Chief and authorization from Congress.

In time, China for reasons of proximity and other factors became the power that controlled North Korea. Under Kim ill-Sung, known as the “Great Leader”, a Soviet protégée of Stalin’s, and his son Kim Jong-il, the “Dear Leader”, North Korea has evolved into the classic rogue nation. It was named one of George W. Bush’s “axis of evil.”

American administrations have negotiated with North Korea and each has learned that they will not adhere to any agreement, using negotiations to secure bribes of all kinds, including one in which the U.S. agreed to build two nuclear facilities there! Recent news revealed they have increased their ability to produce nuclear weapons to the utter astonishment of U.S. intelligence agencies.

Its nuclear program was begun by Moscow and Beijing converted it to a weapons program. Triplett said that Beijing uses North Korea as a proxy distributor of weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missiles to terrorist nations that include Iran and Syria. They in turn, provide weapons to their proxies, Hezbollah and Hamas.

Like Iran, no sanctions and no threats of military reprisal have ever had any serious affect on North Korea.

Writing during the George W. Bush administration, Triplett said “There is no endgame strategy. North Korean aggression and provocations still go unpunished.” Together, the North Koreans and China “have successfully bogged any progress in endless diplomatic meetings and conferences while North Korea’s nuclear research marches on.”

The failure to secure a victory over North Korea in the 1950s, too much dithering since then, and too much distraction fighting recent wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have combined to render America a paper tiger who, despite our vast military power, will not or cannot pull the trigger.

Taliban Suicide Bomber Dresses In Police Uniform, Explosion Kills 4 Afghan Police, Wounds 11

A Taliban jihadi, dressed in an Afghan police uniform, walked into a police station in eastern Afghanistan this morning and set off his suicide bomb belt killing 4 Afghan police and wounding eleven more.

From the article at Breitbart:

Four policemen were killed when a suicide attacker disguised in uniform blew himself up inside a provincial police headquarters in eastern Afghanistan on Saturday, a spokesman said.
Eleven other officers were wounded when the attacker detonated his explosives in the main police base in Sharan, the capital of Paktika province, which shares a border with Pakistan, provincial spokesman Mukhlis Afghan said.

"The suicide attack caused 15 casualties to the police force. Four of the 15 wounded died in hospital and the rest are receiving treatment," he said.

Taliban insurgents principally use suicide attacks and home-made bombs to attack government forces and more than 140,000 US-led troops fighting a counter-insurgency campaign mostly in the south and east of the country.
I was doing some checking and it has been quite awhile since the Taliban have been able to conduct an operation like this - first off, the Afghans are doing a much better job of security and are keener at spotting suicide bombers but as we see here, the Taliban have learned well from their al Qaeda cousins and by camouflaging with the police uniform, this bomber was able to break through the outer ring of defense.

I'm convinced that as time goes by, we will see the Taliban utilize all of the tricks of the trade that al Qaeda in Iraq used - utilizing children with mental disabilities to carry in bombs and using women at some point to hit check points and such.

Paktika province is deeply embroiled in the rebels' campaign to return to power as it lies across the border with Pakistan's tribal area of South Waziristan, believed to be the base for the Taliban-allied Haqqani network.

A suicide attack by a Jordanian triple agent at the CIA base in neighbouring Khost province last December killed seven Americans and his Jordanian handler, marking the CIA's worst loss in a single day in more than 25 years.

The police are seen as central to the goal of getting the Afghan authorities to take the lead in the fight against the Taliban, who were ousted after the US-led invasion in late 2001 but who continue to wage a deadly guerrilla war.

There are currently about 80,000 police officers and US and NATO forces hope to bring that number up to 134,000 by October next year, alongside the 170,000 personnel planned for the army by the same date.

US military leaders back the government's plan for the Afghan police and army to assume responsibility for security by 2014, with the timetable agreed at a landmark NATO summit in Lisbon this month.

On the military side, 661 foreign service personnel have now lost their lives so far this year, according the independent icasualties.org website, which tracks coalition fatalities.

The toll is the highest since the US-led invasion in late 2001. Last year 521 NATO soldiers died.

The number of ordinary Afghans killed in the conflict rose by a third in the first six months of 2010 to 1,271, with most deaths caused by insurgent attacks, the UN said in August.
