George Soros: His Plan To Destroy America Has Come Full Circle

Two words folks. "Lehman Brothers." Three more words. "We've Been Had."

Okay, as most of you know, I'm not the type to sit down and create a four part blog series about the financial crisis that hit America in 2008. I'm going to make some points and if you want to dig deeper, be my guest. But I have long ventured that the financial crisis in America that happened in 2008, JUST when John McCain's momentum was building against Barack Hussein Obama was simply too coincidental. It is my theory that George Soros manufactured the financial crisis. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not refuting that the financial institutions and home mortgage market weren't like dry kindling awaiting a spark, but that is exactly what Soros did- he lit the mutherfucker up like a Los Angeles brush fire.

Let me lay it out for you and then I'll provide some excerpts from some articles back in 2008 and one that came out today:

1. George Soros, after viewing the decline of Barack Hussein Obama's lead in the polls in the summer of 2008, decided he needed one financial institution to fail, thus causing a domino effect in all financial institutions and would create the economic chaos that could be blamed on George W. Bush. Soros chose Lehman Brothers. Why Lehman? Well, it was one of the biggest around, one that he could manipulate because of his investments there and finally, it would also be the best "cover up" for him. You see folks, when Lehman Brothers failed, the news reports that came out on it detailed in EVERY story how George Soros had lost MILLIONS of dollars in that crash. Obviously, George Soros wouldn't cause a failure of an institution that would cost him millions of dollars, now would he? Or is $120 million petty cash for Soros in order for him to own the Presidency of the United States of America?

2. Remember this - the Lehman Brothers failure happened BEFORE that AIG failure. One might contend that Soros had planned on AIG's takedown because that would inherently affect the U.S. Government and cause the government to step in - but how could Soros affect the fall of AIG? Well, my contention is that he KNEW that the Lehman Brothers failure would cast all eyes on AIG.

3. And now, almost a year later to the day, George Soros is having a big belly laugh at all of America as he will finally try to recoup some of his losses as Lehman Brothers is STILL being traded and today we saw the price of Lehman Brothers skyrocket as a percentage of its selling price.

Okay, now for back up. Regarding how Soros was able to manipulate the cover up of his involvement by the media announcing his losses at Lehman, here's this report from The New York Sun , let's look at the opening paragraphs:

Billionaire George Soros's hedge fund may have lost at least $120 million on its stake in Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., mostly acquired in the second quarter, as the investment bank suffered its worst financial result.
Soros Fund Management LLC, which manages $20 billion, purchased 9.47 million shares, or about 1.4% of New York-based Lehman, between March 31 and June 30, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The losses could be as high as $380 million, depending on when Mr. Soros purchased the stake and if he still owns the shares.

By the way, click on the link to the NYSun report and check out the date of that story.

Now, let's look at a further description afterwards about the effects of Lehman Brothers' failure, from the article at the New York Times:

But even as the fates of Lehman and Merrill hung in the balance, another crisis loomed as the insurance giant American International Group appeared to teeter. Staggered by losses stemming from the credit crisis, A.I.G. sought a $40 billion lifeline from the Federal Reserve, without which the company may have only days to survive.
The stunning series of events culminated a weekend of frantic around-the-clock negotiations, as Wall Street bankers huddled in meetings at the behest of Bush administration officials to try to avoid a downward spiral in the markets stemming from a crisis of confidence

And now, let's look at today's news that Lehman is back, baby and old Georgie boy is smiling ear to ear. This, from Breitbart:

Shares of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. jumped in over-the-counter trading Monday despite analysts warnings that prices will eventually dwindle down to nothing.
The 158-year-old Lehman filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in September, and its stock was suspended from trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
Still, shares of Lehman, which have sat at around 5 cents over the past several months, surged as much as 17 cents, or more than 100 percent, to a high of 32 cents intraday Monday, closing at 19 cents, up 4 cents, on the over-the-counter Pink Sheets. The stock has traded heavily over the past few days during a period when activity normally fades as traders take vacations.
"In theory, after you pay off creditors there should be nothing left, so there just shouldn't be any value in the stock," said Anton Schutz, portfolio manager at Burnham Financial Industries Fund. "Why they're still trading is a question everyone is asking. It's sort of crazy."

Let's face it. George Soros is an old man. He'll be dead before he really cares to be. But at this point in life, he's beyond making billions more dollars...his life is now consumed on not shifting dollars around, it's not about even affecting the way companies do business, and it's not even him trying to influence a political party in this country. George Soros simply wants to play chess with nations of this world. This sorry excuse of a human being wishes for nothing more than on his death bed to know that he molded the world into the image he has dreamed of for decades.

George may have pulled the wool over the eyes of most Americans and political leaders and government heads, but there's still some ways to go til George gets to his utopia. Let's hope that George dies realizing that his dream failed, realizing at that moment of death that instead of that one pearl he had dreamed of attaining he will instead get to explain to his Maker just what he was doing in Nazi Germany all those years ago. You can't take it with you, George.

Hamas Cleric Calls Teaching Palestinian Children About The Nazi Holocaust of Jews..."a war crime"

Okay, we've gotten a bit used to the nutjobs from Iran disclaiming the Holocaust but now their minions in Palestine are picking up the drumbeat as a leading Hamas cleric today called the scheduled U.N. mandate of teaching palestinian children about the Holocaust in WW2 Germany, a "war crime." Just another Zionist plot, it seems. Fucking morons. Here's the story from Breitbart:

Hamas leader denies Nazi genocide of Jews

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) - A Hamas spiritual leader on Monday called teaching Palestinian children about the Nazi murder of 6 million Jews a "war crime," rejecting a suggestion that the U.N. might include the Holocaust in Gaza's school curriculum.
A senior Israeli official called the Hamas statements "obscene" and said such statements should make the West think twice about ending its boycott of Hamas, in place since the group seized Gaza by force in 2007. Israeli officials said the statements place Hamas in a pariah club of Holocaust deniers that includes Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Hamas spiritual leader Younis al-Astal lashed out after hearing that the U.N. Relief and Works Agency, the main U.N. body aiding Palestinian refugees, planned to introduce lessons about the Holocaust to Gaza students.
Adding the Holocaust to the curriculum would amount to "marketing a lie and spreading it," al-Astal wrote in a statement.
"I do not exaggerate when I say this issue is a war crime, because of how it serves the Zionist colonizers and deals with their hypocrisy and lies," he wrote.
Many Palestinians are reluctant to acknowledge Jewish suffering, fearing it might diminish their own. Attitudes toward the Holocaust range from outright denial to challenging its scope.
Hamas has been making overtures to the West, hoping to end a stifling blockade of Gaza. And the statements about the Holocaust by senior Hamas officials could undermine the group's attempt to present itself as pragmatic. The U.S. and Europe list Hamas as a terror group, but there have been growing calls, particularly in Europe, to talk to the militants. Hamas control of Gaza is seen as a key obstacle to any Mideast peace deal.
Three teachers at U.N. schools said that according to the new program, basic information about the Holocaust was expected to be taught to eighth grade students as part of human rights classes.
Two of the teachers said they were told about the lesson plan by colleagues involved in the new syllabus. Another teacher said he attended a recent meeting with education officials where he was told to try to teach the new syllabus without offending parents' sensibilities.
All three said they had not received the syllabus for the human rights classes yet, even though the school year began in late August. They requested anonymity because they are not allowed to speak to reporters.
UNRWA provides education, health care and welfare services to more than half of Gaza's 1.4 million people. Spokesman Chris Gunness said a final decision has not been made about the Holocaust course for Gaza schools.
"While the Holocaust is currently not included on the basis of age appropriateness, all elements (of the curriculum) remain under review and under evolution," he said.
Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri also objected to including what he referred to as the "so-called Holocaust" in the lesson plan. "We think it's more important to teach Palestinians the crimes of the Israeli occupation," he said.
Israeli government spokesman Mark Regev said countries contemplating ending their boycott of Hamas must "seriously reconsider" after the Hamas statements, which he described as "obscene."
The Holocaust is not taught in West Bank schools, said an education ministry official in Western-backed President Mahmoud Abbas' government.
Israelis have long complained that Palestinian textbooks present Israel only as an enemy, despite a series of interim peace deals. Also, they charge that maps in the books do not show Israel at all.
Palestinians make similar charges about Israeli education. Recently Israel's education minister ordered a halt to using the accepted Arabic term "nakba," or catastrophe, to describe the results of the two-year war that followed Israel's creation, when about 700,000 Palestinians fled or were forced from their homes.
The U.N. runs 221 schools in Gaza for more than 200,000 students and is the largest independent agency in the territory, controlled by Hamas since a violent takeover in 2007. The West Bank, the other territory that is supposed to comprise a future Palestinian state, is controlled by Hamas' Western-backed rivals of the Fatah movement, led by President Mahmoud Abbas.
Some 6 million Jews were killed in the Nazi campaign to wipe out European Jewry, and the urgent need to find a sanctuary for hundreds of thousands of survivors contributed to the creation of Israel after World War II.
Many Palestinians are reluctant to acknowledge the full extent of the Holocaust because they feel it provided legitimacy for Israel's establishment. A majority of Gaza's 1.4 million people are Palestinian refugees or their descendants.
Some parents opposed the idea of their children learning about the Holocaust. "I don't want them teaching my children Jewish lies," Mohammed Silmi, 33, said Monday, after driving his son to a U.N. school in Gaza City on the back of a motorbike. "It will just be Zionist propaganda."
Hamas' founding charter calls for Israel's destruction, though senior Hamas officials have recently said they would accept a Palestinian state alongside Israel as an interim stage to full Islamic control of the region.
Hamas is frequently at loggerheads with the U.N. refugee agency, which it considers the only serious challenge to its control of Gaza. Over the summer, Hamas accused the U.N. of spreading "immorality" in summer camps for children, because it offered activities such as folk dancing and crafts.

Top U.S. Commander In Afghanistan Files Report, Serious Situation Is Detailed

Top U.S. military commander in Afghanistan, U.S. Army General Stanley McChrystal, has issued his report on the war in Afghanistan and he is calling the situation "serious" but says with a revised strategy, success can be achieved.

From the report at Reuters, here's a bit of what McChrystal said:

"The situation in Afghanistan is serious, but success is achievable and demands a revised implementation strategy, commitment and resolve, and increased unity of effort," McChrystal said in a statement announcing the review was ready.

His review is expected to suggest concentrating forces in more heavily populated areas, and also stepping up efforts to train Afghan soldiers and police.
Speculation has swirled about whether McChrystal will conclude he needs still more troops, or whether U.S. commanders and political leaders will agree to allow a further escalation.

Well, McChrystal didn't call me for input into any new strategies but I'll give it anyway. And that is this: Have a damn meeting with Afghan President Karzai and tell him that if Karzai wants his people safe and his government to survive, he better sign on the dotted line that the Rules of Engagement are returning to the previous level of finding Taliban and killing them on the spot - whether they are in a school, a mosque, a compound or on a road. The new rules of engagement have been put in place because of both Afghan complaints about civilian casualties and "outrage" from the American press and what that has accomplished is the highest level yet of American casualties in the history of the war. That's complete bullshit. If Karzai is happy with hundreds of his civilians being blown to bits by the Taliban but will not allow a single civilian casualty due to American air support, then fuck him. We'll pull out and see if he last 2 months.

Don't get me wrong...I think this war in Afghanistan is essential - the whole reason for being there is to prevent the Taliban from attaining the level of control in the country they had prior to our invasion and if we leave, that will certainly happen and we will be back at square one where al Qaeda and others are firmly in place in the country masterminding 9/11 attacks once again. But for the U.S. military to be handicapped to only restricted rules of engagement is hogwash.

Somewhere along the line, someone got the idea in their head that zero civilian casualties and heavy U.S. casualties would gain the support of Afghan civilians against the Taliban. And that is madness. At just the time when Pakistan is hammering the Taliban in NW Pakistan, the U.S. has adopted this cream puff approach and it is killing our efforts and our troops.

U.S. commander: Afghanistan situation serious

KABUL (Reuters) - The commander of U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan delivered a long-awaited strategic review on Monday, describing the 8-year-old war as in a serious state, but saying success could be achieved with a revised strategy.
Officials gave no indication in public as to whether U.S. Army General Stanley McChrystal, who commands a record-sized force of more than 100,000 troops, would ask for still more reinforcements to carry out his new strategy.
The review is expected to spell out a completely revised approach to conducting the war, which Barack Obama considers the main foreign policy priority of his young U.S. presidency.
"The situation in Afghanistan is serious, but success is achievable and demands a revised implementation strategy, commitment and resolve, and increased unity of effort," McChrystal said in a statement announcing the review was ready.
McChrystal has been working on the review since Obama put him in charge of the war in June.
His review, sent to the U.S. military's Central Command (CentCom) responsible for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and to NATO headquarters in Brussels, is not expected to make firm recommendations about future troop strength just yet.
However, military officials say it will form the basis for a decision about force size which could be taken within weeks -- a politically fraught calculation that could mark a turning point in the Obama presidency.
The report comes at a time when Afghanistan is stuck in political limbo, with the outcome as yet unclear from a presidential election on August 20. Authorities were due later on Monday to issue fresh results.
Incomplete results so far show President Hamid Karzai leading, but not by enough to avoid a second-round run-off against his main challenger, former foreign minister Abdullah Abdullah, who accuses the authorities of widespread fraud.
ADJUSTED FOCUS
McChrystal now commands 103,000 troops in Afghanistan, including 63,000 Americans, more than half of whom arrived this year as part of an escalation strategy begun under outgoing President George W. Bush and ramped up under Obama.
The existing force is set to rise to 110,000, including 68,000 Americans, by the end of this year.
Since taking command, McChrystal has adjusted the focus of Western forces from hunting down insurgents to trying to protect the Afghan population, borrowing in part from U.S. tactics in Iraq developed under CentCom commander General David Petraeus.
The additional U.S. forces that have arrived so far have pushed out into formerly Taliban-held territory, especially over the past two months. Along with British troops, they have been taking by far the heaviest casualties of the war.
This year has already become the deadliest for foreign forces of the war. More Western troops have died in Afghanistan since March than in the entire period from 2001-2004.

Senator Chris Dodd Tells America To Shut Up About Healthcare Bill and Just Pass It...."to honor Ted Kennedy"

Well, we can't say that we didn't know this was all coming but the arrogance of the socialist Democrats in Washington, D.C. never ceases to amaze, does it? Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT) hit all of the Sunday morning "news" fests and has decided that the best way for America to honor the late Senator Ted Kennedy is for all of America, Congressmen and Senators to just knock off the heated debate and pass the Healthcare bill.

Well, Senator Dodd...I have news for you. The conservatives of America (which vastly outnumber your communist backers) smell blood in the water fool and what you saw in August at the town halls is nothing compared to what is coming up, fool. Senator Dodd, if you want to see if the American people are willing to take your advice and just follow along like sheep, I encourage you to stay at your Senate office Friday night, September 11th - sleep on your futon there, sir and then on Saturday morning, September 12th, about 10:00 a.m. look out your window at Pennsylvania Avenue and then tell me if the American people are taking your advice. I dare you to stay there the weekend, Dodd. I double dare you.

From the article at Breitbart:

Democrats: Honor Kennedy through civil debate

WASHINGTON (AP) - Democratic lawmakers said Sunday the best way for Congress to honor the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy is to set aside the heated rhetoric of the health care debate and pass a plan that cuts costs and extends coverage. A key Republican said he doubts any Democrats in Congress have the force of personality to pull it off.
Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., said lawmakers who want to honor Kennedy should "put behind us the blistering days of August, enter the cool days of September, and start acting like senators again."

Congress returns from a monthlong break next week no closer to passing a health care plan than when lawmakers left town. During the break, Democratic members of Congress have faced heated town hall gatherings across the country, with many of those attending hurling insults over Democratic plans to overhaul the nation's health care system.
Dodd said lawmakers who respect each others' opinions and are civil in their disagreements are more likely to reach legislative compromises.
"If you do all of those things, then you can achieve the kind of results that Teddy achieved and that the Senate as a body has achieved historically," Dodd said. "If you abandon civility, then you're going to be in trouble."
Dodd and other lawmakers close to Kennedy appeared on the Sunday morning news shows to remember the Massachusetts senator a day after his funeral Mass in Boston and his burial at Arlington National Cemetery in Northern Virginia.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Olmert Indicted On Corruption Charges

This is the first time ever that a current or former Israeli Prime Minister has been indicted on criminal charges and thus, former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert faces indictment on charges of corruption that include receiving illegal payments from an American backer, cooking the books on travel expenses and concealment of funding. From the article at Breitbart, here's the full story:

Former Israeli prime minister Olmert indicted

JERUSALEM (AP) - Israeli authorities indicted former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on corruption charges Sunday, the first criminal indictment ever filed against a current or past Israeli prime minister.
Olmert, who stepped down earlier this year over the corruption issue, is accused of illegally accepting funds from an American backer, double-billing for trips abroad and concealing funds from a government watchdog.

He faces charges that include fraud and breach of trust.
The charges filed in a Jerusalem court on Sunday first surfaced when Olmert was still prime minister, although Olmert allegedly committed the offenses while serving as mayor of Jerusalem and later as a Cabinet minister, before being elected prime minister in 2006.
Olmert, who denies any wrongdoing, issued a statement through a spokesman saying he was confident his name would be cleared. "Olmert is convinced that in court he will be able to prove his innocence once and for all," the statement said.
The Justice Ministry refused to detail the length of a potential sentence, but Moshe Negbi, an Israeli legal expert, said the maximum sentence on the fraud charge alone was five years.
Any political comeback by Olmert would be highly unlikely unless he is cleared. "In the immediate future it doesn't seem possible, but it all depends on the court," Negbi said.
Two former Cabinet ministers recently sentenced in separate corruption cases have received multiple-year prison sentences. Avraham Hirchson, a former finance minister and an Olmert confidant and appointee, was sentenced to five years for embezzlement in June, and another former Cabinet minister was sentenced to four years for taking bribes.
The case that did the most damage to Olmert when he was still in office involved funds he allegedly accepted from Moshe Talansky, an American businessman who allegedly funneled large amounts of money to Olmert in cash-stuffed envelopes. Talansky's testimony last year helped turn public opinion against Olmert and played a large part in forcing him from office.
The indictment said Olmert used his connections to help Talansky's business, but did not charge Olmert with accepting bribes.
In another case, Olmert was charged with double-billing nonprofit organizations and the government for trips he took abroad and then using the extra money to pay for private trips for his family.
Olmert was replaced as prime minister in March by Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu. He left politics and is currently a private citizen.
The charges against Olmert were part of a slew of allegations that drove down Israeli confidence in the political system during his time in office.
In addition to the charges against Olmert's finance minister, another Cabinet minister was convicted of sexual misconduct and the country's former ceremonial president, Moshe Katzav, was charged by several women with rape and sexual harassment and is currently on trial.

Jordan's Abdullah Rids Army and Government of Palestinian Vermin

I've said it for years and years....the biggest reason that the Arab countries of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt and so on all want the Palestinians to have a "state" is because they want to reduce any chance that the filthy Palestinians will ever cross into their lands. King Abdullah, who for years has supposedly been a supporter of the Palestinians and their facade of a plight as the "oppressed" and "occupied" is now in the process of purging his military and government of the Pali vermin. The fact of the matter is that Abdullah will probably finish this phase and then start to work on the general population.

America and dozens of other western nations have for decades poured millions and billions of dollars of aid into the land of the Palestinians yet we have never seen any of the neighbors of the Palestinians offer a damn thing (except for the Saudis offering money to the Palis to don suicide vests and blow themselves up) - it's because the Palis are like lice on a dog's back.

From the story at DEBKA, witness once again how only the West has bought into the propaganda that the Palis are anything less than a blight upon the earth:

Jordan's King Abdullah purges regime and army of Palestinians

While the Obama administration is preparing to stage a US-Israeli-Palestinian summit at the UN General Assembly in New York next month, Jordan's king Abdullah, who has always claimed to be an ardent champion of the Palestinians, is quietly acting to cut down their numbers and influence in his kingdom.
Just over 50% of Jordan's six million citizens are Palestinian.
On Aug, 6, he addressed the Jordanian General Staff in Amman with a warning that domestic and foreign plots were afoot to stir unrest among the Palestinian majority community.
"I clearly reiterate that no force can compel us to act in any way against the interests of Jordan and Jordanians," Abdullah said. "Anyone who thinks of threatening Jordan, its identity, stability and national unity, does not know Jordan or Jordanians and has not read their history."
Abdullah did not name the source of the threat to Jordan. Some Middle East sources interpreted his unusually stern remarks as referring to Syria and Iraq and their possible exploitation of the Palestinian community for destabilizing the kingdom. Hence the following five steps disclosed here by DEBKAfile's military and intelligence sources:
1. The king has ordered a massive purge of the Jordanian military, forcing hundreds of officers into early retirement. The official pretext is the need to lower the average age of the officer class in the interests of modernizing and energizing the armed forces. But a survey of the names of the officers laid off and their replacements shows a different picture. None of the officers dismissed from active duty bear Bedouin tribal names. These days, the Bedouin tribes which are the traditional loyal backbone of the Hashemite ruling house, are no longer desert nomads but organized in identifiable social frameworks in Jordan's cities.
Therefore, it is concluded that Abdullah has "Arabized" the Jordanian military by removing the Palestinian element as distinct from pure-blooded Arabs, the Bedouin.
2. He is conducting the same process in the top levels of government.
Our Middle East sources report that he has elevated three officials to the top of the pyramid: Prime minister
Nader al-Dahabi, who belongs to a family of Syrian origin which settled in Jordan in the last century; his half-brother Prince Faisal, assistant to the Air Force Chief who is now in line for promotion as chief of staff of the armed forces; and the director of General Intelligence, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Al Raqqad.
3. Not only were non-Bedouin officers' services terminated, but the king secretly ordered the general staff to stop recruiting them to the armed forces. Palestinians had been allowed to serve in Jordan's auxiliary units, such as transport, ordnance, quartermaster-general and surgeon-general. Not any more; those services are being purged of Palestinians.
4. By another secret order from the king, the Jordanian ministry of the interior has begun the process for revoking the Jordanian citizenship of Palestinians who relocated from the West Bank and Gaza Strip to the Hashemite Kingdom in the last 40 years. Jordan was unique in granting citizenship rights to Palestinians, a status not conferred by any other Arab government.
Be revoking their nationality, Abdullah aims to reduce the size of the Palestinian community so that it is no longer a majority.
5. Our sources also report that King Abdullah is planning a major cabinet reshuffle that will involve sacking six to eight ministers.

Russia Deploys Missiles Along North Korean Border

It appears that even the Russians don't even trust the whacked out North Koreans as the Russian military has deployed its S-400 missile defense system along its border with North Korea. From the article at Times Online:

Russia has put defences on alert along its border with North Korea amid tensions over possible new missile tests by the secretive Communist regime.
The Kremlin ordered troops to deploy Russia’s most advanced missile defence system, the S-400, to intercept any threats from North Korea’s nuclear programme. General Nikolai Makarov, the head of the Russian army, said that a mobile battery of 32 surface-to-air missiles had been put into operation in anticipation of any Korean tests.
“We are taking these preventative measures as a security guarantee against faulty launches of the missiles and to guarantee that fragments of these missiles never fall on Russian territory,” he said. “We are concerned by the fact that the site in North Korea where it carries out its nuclear tests is located quite close to the Russian border.”
As it has become painfully obvious, the America government under Barack Hussein Obama is powerless over the actions of the North Koreans, it's becoming apparent that powers like the Russians and Japanese will probably have to try things on their own with the rogue nation. This, of course, is unprecedented for many years as the world has typically looked to the U.S. for a leadership role in these matters - no more, as the global leader of the fairies and imps, Obama, has decided his own agenda is more important.

Russia deploys missiles along border with North Korea

A senior Russian senator said that use of the S-400 system could not be ruled out, but he rejected any comparison between Moscow’s actions and the decision by the United States to build a missile defence shield in Eastern Europe. The US argues that the shield is necessary to deter attacks by rogue nations such as Iran and North Korea, but Russia has denounced the plan as a threat to its national security.

Mikhail Margelov, chairman of the Federation Council’s International Affairs Committee, said that the US was responding to “non-existent” dangers, while Russia was defending against “the emergence of real sources of threat”.
Russia’s Far Eastern city of Vladivostok is just 93 miles from its narrow border with North Korea. Six missiles test-fired by North Korea in 2006 reportedly fell in Russian waters in the Sea of Japan.
North Korea fired 11 short-range rockets with a range of up to 500km in two separate launches last month, defying a United Nations ban on ballistic missile activities linked to sanctions against its nuclear programme.
The regime in Pyongyang carried out a second underground nuclear explosion in May at the same time as it test-fired another series of short-range missiles. It also test-fired a long-range missile in April that is said to be capable of reaching Britain and the US.
Russia is a member of the six-party group, along with the US, China, Japan, North and South Korea, that is attempting to convince Pyongyang to abandon its nuclear ambitions. The S-400 “Triumph” system has a range of up to 400km and is said to be capable of bringing down cruise and tactical missiles as well as aircraft using stealth technology.
The defence system was put in place as a Russian presidential envoy travelled to South Korea for talks yesterday with President Lee Myung-Bak. A Kremlin spokesman said that they discussed “issues relating to trilateral co-operation between Russia, South Korea, and North Korea”.

Pakistani Helicopter Gunships Destroy Taliban Suicide Bomber Camp, 6 Taliban Killed

This is one of the better coordinated attacks on the Taliban camps in the Swat Valley as the Pakistani military sent helicopter gunships in today to destroy a suicide bomber training camp in the Swat Valley and netted a kill of 6 Taliban during the process.

One has to keep his fingers crossed that the Pakistanis will keep this up - there is no question that they have taken a big toll on the Taliban and much to my disbelief, the Pakistani government has kept up the pressure now for almost two months.

The story from Breitbart:

Pakistan destroys suicide bomber training camp

ISLAMABAD (AP) - Helicopter gunships destroyed a training camp for suicide bombers in Pakistan's Swat Valley, killing six Taliban fighters, an official said Saturday as scattered violence killed 12 others in the region recently retaken by the army.
The camp's trainees—including teenagers—were responsible for at least three attacks in recent weeks, an army spokesman said.
The air raid on the training facility, located on a small island in the Swat River opposite the town of Charbagh, came Friday night after local residents tipped off security forces of its location, according to Lt. Col. Akhtar Abbas, the army spokesman in Swat.

Intelligence reports linked the camp to attacks that killed a total of 10 soldiers and civilians this month, he said. Two of the attacks took place last weekend near Mingora, the valley's main town, and another was earlier this month in a more remote area.
"We have been working to find their source, and today we destroyed that source," Abbas told The Associated Press.
The army had declared Charbagh, about 6 miles (10 kilometers) east of Mingora, clear of militants except for small pockets of resistance.
Abbas said another six militants were killed in two separate operations elsewhere in Swat. In one operation, five Taliban fighters were killed, including a close aid to a high-ranking Taliban commander, Shah Doraan.
The officer said military operations were weakening the Taliban, and that many had chosen to turn themselves in rather than fight.
"With every day passing, the noose is being tightened around them, and that's why more and more of them are opting to surrender," Abbas said.
The army said it had arrested another 11 suspected militants in separate search operations in the region.
Security forces have been winding down a nearly three-month offensive to dislodge the Taliban from the Swat Valley and surrounding areas, but sporadic clashes continue. The army has also been accused of carrying out extra-judicial killings of suspected Taliban and then dumping their bodies on streets in towns around Swat. Security forces have strongly denied the allegations.
On Saturday, residents said they found the bullet-riddled bodies of six people they identified as militants in Odigram, a village near Mingora. It was unclear who killed them.
The bodies found included two brothers who were well-known local Taliban commanders, villager Mohammed Salman said Saturday.
The United Nations said this past week that about 1.5 million people who had fled fighting in the wider region were returning home, and the World Health Organization said it was concerned about providing health support for them.
Authorities also have been battling militants in Pakistan's lawless and remote tribal belt along its northwestern border with Afghanistan.
Two intelligence and a government official said one militant was killed and another captured during an attack on a security checkpoint that wounded a soldier in the North Waziristan tribal region.
The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to release the information to media, said an unspecified number of militants in a car attacked the checkpoint on a main road linking the area to South Waziristan, the heartland of Taliban.
Police were investigating the possible al-Qaida links of 12 suspected foreign militants arrested Friday on the edge of the tribal area, after they allegedly sneaked into the country from Iran, Punjab provincial police official Mohamad Rizwan said.
"One thing is certain, that they are terrorists," Rizwan said.
The men from Sudan, Russia, Turkey and Iran were arrested in the city of Dera Ghazi Khan, said Hassan Iqbal, a district official. Police also seized a laptop computer and $10,000 from the men, he said.
The detainees "had links with Taliban" and wanted to go to Pakistan's South Waziristan tribal region, Iqbal said, without giving further details.
South Waziristan is a stronghold of former Pakistani Taliban commander Baitullah Mehsud, who was killed by a CIA missile strike earlier this month.
Pakistan has deployed more than 100,000 troops in the tribal regions since the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks in the United States. Authorities have arrested about 1,000 Taliban and al-Qaida suspects over the past few years, including senior aides to al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden and his deputy, Ayman al-Zawahri.
Al-Zawahri, in a video posted Thursday on Islamic militant Web sites, said a Pakistani offensive against the Taliban in the Swat Valley was doomed to fail. He urged Pakistanis to "back the jihad (holy war) and mujahedeen" with fighters, money and support.

Ship Seized With North Korean Weapons Bound For Iran, U.N. Is Mum On Embargo Violation

Once again, the United Nations exhibits their enforcement capabilities in the world...this time, a ship bound for Iran was seized by the United Arab Emirates and found to be loaded with weapons from North Korea. This is a direct violation of an embargo of Iran set forth by the United Nations. From the article at Breitbart, looks look at how the U.N. is handling this grave situation:

Quoting diplomats in New York, the British newspaper said the UAE has reported the seizure of the vessel to the U.N. sanctions committee responsible for vetting the implementation of measures, including an arms embargo, imposed against North Korea under Security Council resolution 1874.
The committee, chaired by Turkey, has made no formal announcement about the case, the paper said.

So there you have it, the United Nations committee has been sitting on this violation and has done NOTHING until the info now has leaked out. Which brings up another point I'd like to make...has anyone else noticed that every fucking "committee" at the U.N. has a muslim chairperson?

Here's more of what happened:

The United Arab Emirates seized a ship several weeks ago that was bound for Iran and carrying North Korean weapons in violation of a U.N. embargo, Reuters news agency reported Friday, citing Western diplomats.
"They (UAE) did seize the ship and it was carrying weapons from North Korea for Iran," a U.N. Security Council diplomat was quoted as saying on condition of anonymity, confirming a British newspaper report.
The Financial Times reported earlier Friday that the UAE has seized a ship secretly carrying embargoed North Korean arms to Iran.

I think most of my readers understand the worthless nature of the U.N. but I wish to put forth that in my opinion, we in the U.S. have gotten to the point that the U.N. is actually operating as an ENEMY of the nation of the United States of America. Our country has been threatened in the past by BOTH North Korea and Iran and this non-action by this U.N. committee amounts to acts against the welfare of America. One could say this is equivalent to an act of war. Now, I don't think you can probably declare war on the U.N. but hell, might be worth a shot.

UAE seized ship with N. Korean arms bound for Iran: reports+

NEW YORK, Aug. 28 (AP) - (Kyodo)—The United Arab Emirates seized a ship several weeks ago that was bound for Iran and carrying North Korean weapons in violation of a U.N. embargo, Reuters news agency reported Friday, citing Western diplomats.
The Financial Times said the vessel was still being held in the UAE, where the authorities are understood to have found various forms of basic weaponry, including rocket-propelled grenades, which had been labeled as machine parts.
The U.N. Security Committee adopted the resolution in June to impose a broad range of additional financial, trade and other sanctions on North Korea in response to its second nuclear test on May 25.
Among the measures is the stricter enforcement of inspections of North Korean cargo by calling on U.N. member states to seize its ships on the high seas if they are suspected of carrying missile or nuclear items.

A Peek At Hugo Chavez' Appointment Book

Communist dictator and mentor to the President of the United States, Hugo Chavez, has some "interesting" plans for the near future. From the report at the Counterterrorism Blog, here's a sneak peek:

Chávez's Excellent Adventure

Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez, apparently afraid that Colombia's willingness to allow Forward Operating Locations (FOLs) in Colombia, will spend early September visiting a number of pariah states in an effort to strengthen his standing.
According to the official presidential press office, Chávez will spend most of the first two weeks of September visiting Libya (where a convicted terrorist was just received as a hero by Gadaffi et al); Iran (whose newly-nominated defense minister Ahmad Vahidi is a wanted terrorist and responsible for numerous terrorist attacks, including one that killed Americans), then off to buy a battalion of tanks from Russia, arriving via Syria, another state sponsor of terrorism.
Lovely trip. While visiting Gadaffi, Chávez will also participate in an African Union summit, perhaps for the chance to rub elbows with Mugabe, Kabila and others to share lessons learned in destabilization.
Chávez is deeply vexed that Colombia would allow the United States to locate several FOLs in its national territory, a move largely designed to offset the loss of the Manta FOL in Ecuador, where the 10-year lease expired in July and was not renewed by the Correa government.
One of the issues that is of serious concern is not just the loss of the ability to monitor the Pacific corridor drug flights without Manta (a capacity that would be enhanced by the Colombian SOLs but would still be far less than it was in Manta), but the impact of the loss on the Mexican drug situation.

Pakistan Taliban Use Teen Age Boy As Suicide Bomber At Afghan Border, 22 Border Guards Killed

The new commander of the Pakistani Taliban has accomplished his first real hit - a suicide bombing at the main border crossing in Pakistan that leads into Afghanistan. And we now get a glimpse into the mind set of a new raving lunatic Taliban leader as he used a teen aged boy to strap the explosives on and blow himself up - killing 22 Pakistani border guards.

So, the net effect is that Pakistani officials are picking up bits and pieces of a boy strewn across a 100 yard square area when this boy's counterparts in America and the West are squeezing out their last few days of summer vacation - they are swimming at the sand pit swimming hole, they are racing their BMX bikes, they are falling in love with a sweet 16 girl, and this Pakistani kid is gone, forever. Because of Mo. Because of a perverted false prophet. Because of a new leader of the Taliban whose insanity told him that Mo would want that boys blood flowing into the soil of Pakistan. And still, people attack me for my call for the TOTAL extermination of the Taliban from this planet. Yep, they still do.

Here's the story from The Long War Journal:

Suicide bomber kills 22 border guards at Torkham crossing in Pakistan

A Taliban suicide bomber killed 22 Pakistani border guards at the main crossing to Afghanistan in the first attack since Hakeemullah Mehsud took command of the Movement of the Taliban in Pakistan. The new leader of the Pakistani Taliban made good on yesterday’s threat to retaliate for the death of the group’s former leader, Baitullah Mehsud, who was killed in a US airstrike on Aug. 5.
A teenaged suicide bomber directly targeted border security forces as they gathered for the Iftar meal at their barracks at the Torkham crossing in the Khyber tribal agency.
"The guards were about to break their fast when a teenaged boy carrying a bottle of Pepsi walked toward them and blew himself up," a witness to the attack told Reuters.
While no group has claimed credit for the attack, Taliban forces under the command of Hakeemullah are the prime suspect. Between November 2008 and April 2009, Hakeemullah's fighters destroyed more than 700 vehicles and shipping containers in Khyber and Peshawar, and forced the closure of the Khyber Pass six times.
Just yesterday Hakeemullah threatened to avenge the death of Baitullah, and specifically mentioned the United States as the primary target.
"We will take revenge and soon," said Hakeemullah, who was chosen last weekend to lead the Movement of the Taliban in Pakistan. "We will give our reply to this drone attack to America."
An attack at the Torkham crossing point would impact US and NATO operations in Afghanistan. NATO's most vital resupply route for its forces in Afghanistan stretches from the Pakistani port city of Karachi to Peshawar, then on through the Khyber Pass to Kabul. More than 70 percent of NATO supplies and 40 percent of its fuel moves through Peshawar.
The US military has dismissed the attacks in Peshawar and Khyber as inconsequential, but the growing Taliban insurgency in the Northwest Frontier Province, coupled with the assault on the supply lines, has forced NATO to seek alternative supply routes into Afghanistan.
Hakeemullah is also credited with several major suicide attacks and complex assaults in Pakistan under the guise of the commander of the Fedayeen-e-Islam. Members of the Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Jaish-e-Mohammed, al Qaeda, and the Taliban in Pakistan's tribal areas fill the ranks and leadership positions of the Fedayeen-e-Islam.
The Fedayeen-e-Islam took credit for the deadly September 2008 suicide attack on the Islamabad Marriott Hotel, the March 2009 storming of a police station in Lahore, and the June 2009 complex suicide attack on the Pearl Continental Hotel.Find related articles: Afghanistan, Al Qaeda, Pakistan

Saudi Arabian 10 Yr Old Girl Forced Back To Her 80 Yr Old Husband

Day in and day out here at Holger Awakens, I document how the "religion of peace" is murdering people across this planet. I've also shown how the islamists are mutiliating women in their perverted societies. I've even shown videos of how Hamas and other terror groups indoctrinate their children in the "art" of terror. And I've documented the perversion of sharia law. And now, this latest case of how perverted, satanic adults treat islamic children is shown once again as the report here from Fox News details how a 10 year old girl from Saudi Arabia escaped from her 80 yr old husband and sought refuge at her aunt's home. She was found and is being forced back into the clutches of this old decrepid minion of Satan by none other than her own husband. How the hell am I or anyone else expected to explain this? I can't.

Saudi Child Bride Turned Back Over to 80-Year-Old Husband

A Saudi Arabian father forced his 10-year-old daughter to return to her 80-year-old husband Sunday, after she was found hiding at the home of her aunt for 10 days, Arab News reported.
The young girl's husband, who denies he is 80 despite family claims, accused the aunt of violating the terms of his marriage, allowed by Sharia Law.
"My marriage is not against Sharia. It included the elements of acceptance and response by the father of the bride,” he told a local newspaper.
A member of the National Society for Human Rights said there are no regulations in place to stop the marriage of young girls, which is seen as harmful to their wellbeing.
“Such marriages are considered a gross violation of charters on the rights of children, which the Kingdom has signed and which set the age of adulthood at 18,” Maatouq Al-Abdullah told Arab News.

How's This For A Message? New Pakistani Taliban Leaders Threaten Revenge On U.S., 24 Hours Later Predator Strike Kills 7 Taliban In Leader's Village

I'm loving this. Just yesterday, the new Taliban leadership made revenge threats against the U.S. for the airstrike that killed their dear leader, Baitullah Mehsud - that report was here from The Long War Journal. Here's some of what the new leaders said:

"We will take revenge and soon," Hakeemullah Mehsud, who was chosen to lead the Movement of the Taliban in Pakistan last weekend, told AFP. "We will give our reply to this drone attack to America."

Okay, pretty tough talk, huh?

Then, 24 hours later, this is the story that is just out this morning from Breitbart:

7 killed in suspected drone attack in Pakistan's tribal area+

ISLAMABAD, Aug. 27 (AP) - (Kyodo)—At least seven people were killed and nine injured in an apparent U.S. drone attack Thursday on a militant hideout in a tribal area of northwestern Pakistan near the border with Afghanistan, official sources said.
The sources in South Waziristan said a missile hit a house in the village Kani Guram in Ladha subdistrict suspected of being a hideout of the Taliban militants.
The area targeted by the drone is believed to be a stronghold of Taliban commander Wali ur-Rehman Mehsud, who emerged as a possible successor of Baitullah Mehsud after the top Pakistani Taliban leader was killed in a drone attack this month in the same area.

So, less than 24 hours after the new Taliban leadership makes the threat, the stronghold of their #2 leader is hit by hellfires. hahahahaha! I truly hope that the new leadership of the Pakistani Taliban paid close attention when they attended the funeral of Baitullah Mehsud, perhaps taking notes as to how they want their funeral to be different.

These asshats have bullseyes on their backs and they had exactly 24 hours to relish in their new leadership roles and now the hunt is on, boys. Good luck on keeping any food down the next 24 hours, chumps.

Is Van Jones, Obama's Czar, A Communist Revolutionary?

I think most people are aware of the fact that Glenn Beck and Van Jones are engaged in a battle to the death (or so it may seem) so I found this article to be AWESOME! It comes from Family Security Matters and was written by Cliff Kincaid. I have excerpted below the entire article as it is one you simply cannot miss:
(Obama/Stalin photo courtesy of: RidesAPaleHorse)

Glenn Beck Closing in on Van Jones

Cliff Kincaid

“Is Glenn Beck finished?” is the headline over an article on a left-wing website, insisting that a campaign against Beck’s Fox News Channel program has cost him 36 advertisers and that his show may be cancelled as a result. The campaign against Beck is being waged by a group called Color of Change, whose co-founder, Van Jones, is now Obama’s green-jobs czar.

Not coincidentally, Beck has repeatedly singled out Van Jones for criticism, citing evidence of his communist past. The source of this evidence is New Zealand blogger Trevor Loudon, the same researcher who originally unearthed the fact that Obama’s mysterious mentor “Frank” in Obama’s book Dreams from My Father was Communist Party member Frank Marshall Davis. We confirmed that identification with a separate source and ran with the story last year, even obtaining the 600-page FBI file on Davis. It also came out that Davis was a sex pervert, doper, and pornographer.

The Obama campaign eventually confirmed Frank’s identity but tried to play down his relationship with Obama. Most media gave the scandal a ho-hum.

Trevor Loudon, who deserves far more credit than he gets for smoking out the communists in and around the Obama Administration, broke the Van Jones story back on April 6th and has run several follow-ups. Among other things, he revealed that Jones was a leading member of a Marxist organization known by the acronym STORM, which means Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement. A 96-page history of the organization mentions how several STORM members had traveled to Cuba in the summer of 1999 as part of the Venceremos Brigade. This is the group that was originally sponsored by the Castro regime and the Weather Underground.

To add to the mystery, it turns out that “Van” Jones is not even his real name. His real first name is Anthony; he says he changed it because “Van” sounded cool. Various accounts say that he has been arrested twice.

Aaron Klein of World Net Daily then wrote a story on Jones, citing Loudon’s work. Since then, Beck and others have seized on it. Now, some more of this fascinating story can be told. I have been engaged for months in a series of Freedom of Information Act requests with the Obama Administration for information about Jones and how he was hired.

It seems clear that Jones has undergone, with powerful sponsors and benefactors, an extreme makeover. Beck, to his credit, is trying to peel away the protective cover. He needs our support to remain on the air and pursue this story. The trail will most certainly lead beyond Jones himself.

Who Wrote His Book?

Whatever his real name, he was praised by actor Leonardo DiCaprio in an April 30, 2009, Time magazine article as someone who is “redefining green.” This is one of several sympathetic stories about him.

His book, The Green Collar Economy, includes only the name of “Van Jones” as the author on the cover. But it appears that the book was largely written by Ariane Conrad, an activist and writer whose name appears on the inside, as in, by “Van Jones, with Ariane Conrad.” The use of “with” is morally obligatory and suggests that she helped out in some way with the actual writing.

She says on her blog that she “helped Van write his first, New York Times-bestselling book” and describes herself as someone who has “specialized in working collaboratively with authors, especially first-timers, to produce non-fiction books.”

However, the Jones book relies on discredited “experts” such as Rachel Carson and Paul Ehrlich, who exaggerated environmental dangers and ushered in stronger government controls and regulations. The book denounces the “Indian-killing Teddy Roosevelt,” nuclear power, and the Iraq War and, sounding like Obama, Jones says that “we will have to fundamentally restructure the U.S. economy.” He urges a new global warming treaty.

Ironically, the book was published by Harper One, an imprint of Harper Collins, a division of the same company, News Corporation, which now employs Glenn Beck. The foreword to the Jones book by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. describes his revolutionary plans for a “brave new world” and proclaims, “Let the revolution begin.”

In addition to being one of Ariane Conrad’s successful “first-timers,” Van Jones’ meteoric rise was assisted by many different liberal-left foundations, including the Open Society Institute of George Soros, which helped finance his “Green for All” organization. His book includes endorsements from Thomas L. Friedman of the New York Times, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, TV host Tavis Smiley, former Senator Tom Daschle, Arianna Huffington, and Larry Brilliant of Google.

The Ella Baker Center

I visited one of his organizations in Oakland, California, the Ella Baker Center, and discovered a photograph of Communist Angela Davis on the first floor. Ella Baker worked with Communists such as Anne Braden. This fact is noted on the official Baker bio distributed by the organization named in her honor. They are proud of this fact, although they claim that “she had mixed feelings about communism” and only embraced socialism “as a more humane alternative to capitalism.”

Jones shows up on a list of “veteran activists” attending a conference in the summer of 1998 at the University of Illinois at Chicago, the same place where Bill Ayers is now a professor. The purpose was to plot the “Black Liberation Agenda for the 21st Century” under the auspices of the Black Radical Congress. Angela Davis participated and the Communist Party USA helped organize the event.

One of Jones’ sons is named Cabral, in honor of Amilcar Cabral, the African Marxist who spoke to Castro’s Tricontinental Congress in 1966 and concluded with these words: “Our wish is that every national liberation movement represented here may be able to repeat in its own country, arms in hand, in unison with its people, the already legendary cry of Cuba: Patria O Muerte, Venceremos! Death to the Forces of Imperialism! Free, Prosperous and Happy Country for Each of our Peoples! Venceremos!”

Stonewalling

The Obama transition project developed a seven-page questionnaire that included 63 questions about an applicant’s background and qualifications for a federal job. The document was supposedly for “every candidate for Cabinet and other high-ranking positions in the incoming administration,” as CNN put it. But there is no indication at this point that Van Jones ever filled out such a form. At the very least, it can be said that I have not been able to obtain a copy of it – and I have asked for any such document.

I have been engaged for months in a series of communications with the White House Council of Environmental Quality (CEQ), where Jones works, in an attempt to discover who hired Jones and why, and what was known about Jones when he was appointed. I have had to resort to using the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) on several occasions to attempt to get answers. But the answers have not been satisfactory.

However, there is every reason to believe, in this case, that where there is smoke, there is fire. The still-untold story is where the Van Jones trail leads. It obviously leads to the White House. But to whom?

Definitive answers will require that the media stop running puff pieces about Jones and start investigating his background. Glenn Beck should not carry this load alone.

On Fox News, Glenn Beck has raised the question of who “vetted” Van Jones for a job and whether the FBI was bypassed. This is a legitimate area of inquiry. But if Beck’s show is forced off the air, because of advertiser pressure, Jones and his patrons in the White House will have won. And freedom of information and transparency in government will be the losers.

I haven’t reported the answers to my queries until now. But since Glenn Beck’s show could rise or fall, depending on the outcome of his battle with Jones, I believe what is known, or is not known, should now be put on the record. It is clear that Beck is on the right track and he deserves enormous credit for tackling this important story. It may be as important as the Frank Marshall Davis scandal.

What remains to be determined is what personal relationship, if any, there is between Jones and Obama. If Obama didn’t select him for a post in the administration, who did?

I began this quest, after Trevor Loudon and World Net Daily ran their stories, with telephone calls and e-mails to Van Jones himself, his assistant and the press representative for the CEQ. None of these calls or e-mails was returned.

The Start of the FOIA Requests

My first FOIA request, filed on April 15th, consisted of the following:

“Under the Freedom of Information Act, I request immediate access to all documents, memoranda, emails, and information relating to the appointment of Van Jones to the White House Council on Environmental Quality as ‘Special Adviser for Green Jobs.’ The request should include all copies of any information, including a biography and CV, submitted in advance to the Obama Administration by Mr. Jones.”

On April 16th, Edward A. Boling, General Counsel and Chief Freedom of Information Officer for the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ), replied that “CEQ searched its records system and found none responsive to your request.” He added, “We suggest that you contact the White House Office of the Press Secretary.”

Doesn’t this seem strange? A group where someone works knows almost nothing about the person?

The Jones appointment was announced on March 10th by Nancy Sutley, chair of the CEQ, who declared that “Van Jones has been a strong voice for green jobs and we look forward to having him work with departments and agencies to advance the President’s agenda of creating 21st century jobs that improve energy efficiency and utilize renewable resources. Jones will also help to shape and advance the Administration’s energy and climate initiatives with a specific interest in improvements and opportunities for vulnerable communities.”

The announcement carried a short bio of Jones. It said, “Jones is the founder of Green For All, a national organization that promotes an inclusive green economy, strong enough to lift people out of poverty. He is also the co-founder of the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights and Color of Change, two highly innovative social justice organizations. A 1993 Yale Law School graduate, Jones is the author of the 2008 New York Times best-seller, The Green Collar Economy.”

Notice that nothing was said about Jones working with STORM. This bio was all that the CEQ would give me about Jones.

On April 27th, I sent a FOIA request to the office of the White House press secretary. It said:

Under the Freedom of Information Act, I request immediate access to all documents, memoranda, emails, and information relating to the appointment of Van Jones to the White House Council on Environmental Quality as “Special Adviser for Green Jobs.” The request should include all copies of any information, including a biography and CV, submitted in advance to the Obama Administration by Mr. Jones.

This FOIA request is being directed to the White House Office of the Press Secretary at the direction of the General Counsel and Chief Freedom of Information Officer of the Council on Environmental Quality, who informs me that the CEQ found no records responsive to my request.

President Barack Obama has declared, “All agencies should adopt a presumption in favor of disclosure, in order to renew their commitment to the principles embodied in FOIA, and to usher in a new era of open Government. The presumption of disclosure should be applied to all decisions involving FOIA.”

“I look forward to your immediate response and disclosure of documents.

I have not received any response to this letter.

Cover-ups

So let’s recap: the CEQ knows almost nothing about how Jones was hired and by whom. And it suggests I contact the White House Office of the Press Secretary, which I do. But it simply ignores my request.

How’s this for transparency in government? What is the purpose of this stonewalling? Clearly, somebody is hiding something.

On May 8th, I filed another FOIA request with the CEQ, asking:

Was Van Jones ever affiliated with or a member of a group known as STORM, which means “Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement?”

If not, what action has he taken to eliminate documented references to his involvement with STORM that have surfaced in various news reports?

Was CEQ Chair Nancy Sutley aware of Mr. Jones’ reported involvement with STORM prior to his appointment to the CEQ?

Who made the appointment of Mr. Jones to the CEQ and what form did that take in communication with Chairman Sutley?

General Counsel Boling told me that “CEQ has no documents responsive to your request. Moreover, FOIA does not require CEQ to develop a document responding to these questions.”

When I subsequently filed a FOIA request to determine how they handled my other FOIA requests, I learned that Elizabeth Moss, Christine M. Glunz, and Edward A. Boling of the CEQ simply exchanged emails wondering if there were “any documents that are responsive to this request” and noting that “FOIA does not require the creation of new records.” This is how stonewalling occurs, despite Obama’s promise to make information available through the FOIA. Bureaucrats exchange emails for the purpose of trying to find a way to be unresponsive.

While waiting for “answers” to my FOIA requests, I researched the name Christine Glunz, who functions as Jones’ mouthpiece and sidekick, and found that the same name appears on a list of press people for disgraced former Illinois Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich. A release says that one “Christine Glunz” was a press contact for the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) under Blagojevich. According to another article, her sister was “director of policy” for Blagojevich.

I reached Ms. Glunz by telephone, identified myself, and asked how long she worked for Blagojevich. “Who’s calling?” she said. I identified myself again and asked how long she had worked for the Illinois Governor. “Sir, what’s your number?” She said she was in a meeting and would have to call me back.

I suppose I will have to file another FOIA request to see if it is the same person.

Another bio for Christine Glunz says that she worked as communications director for the Kerry-Edwards presidential campaign in Missouri in 2004, press secretary to Democratic Rep. Zoe Lofgren, deputy communications director on Democratic Senator Jean Carnahan’s 2002 campaign, and White House Intern in Vice President Al Gore’s press office and then on staff as the Special Assistant to the Director of Communications.

In response to Glenn Beck’s investigation of Van Jones, Glunz has been quoted as saying that Jones is an environmental hero and that his focus is on “building clean energy incentives, which create 21st century jobs.”

But how did Jones get HIS job?

Glenn Beck deserves enormous credit for trying to answer this question. He should not be forced off the air for trying to get answers.

Iranian Prosecutors Seek Death Penalty For Reformists Involved In Freedom Revolt

You know, when Nancy Pelosi makes references to American protesters as "nazis" it may just send a chill down the spine of some U.S. citizens when one looks at how a tyrannical government deals with dissent. From the article at Times Online, we see how Iranian prosecutors, in a mass trial being held to decide the fate of those charged with orchestrating the pro-democracy revolt this year, are seeking the death penalty for such dissent.

Here's a bit from the article:

Iranian prosecutors called for the death penalty in a mass trial of some of the country’s leading reformists, including six former ministers, who stand accused of fomenting riots in the wake of June’s disputed presidential elections.
The prosecution said that the men, including a key instigator of Iran’s reformist movement, had been plotting to topple the Islamic regime. It called the huge street demonstrations against alleged electoral fraud an attempt to stage a “soft coup” against the government.
Reformist critics denounced the proceedings as a “show trial”. It was the fourth mass trial so far in what opponents of the theocratic regime see as a concerted attempt to uproot all moderate opposition to the hardline leadership of President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad.

And, if you don't think this call for the death penalty is real, check out the "confession" from one of the top accused and tell me this guy doesn't see his hanging from a crane in his near future:

Among the first of the accused to appear was Saeed Hajjarian, a former deputy intelligence minister under Mr Khatami who is seen as the architect of the pro-democracy movement. The wheelchair-bound defendant, paralyzed after being shot in the head in a failed assassination attempt nine years ago, was carried into the Revolutionary Court by two attendants.
Unable to speak clearly because of his injuries, Mr Haijarian asked another defendant to read out his “confession” for him. “I’ve committed grave mistakes by offering incorrect analysis during the election ... I apologize to the dear Iranian nation because of my incorrect analyses that was the basis for many wrong actions,” the text read, according to the state news agency IRNA.
Mr Haijarian went even further, also renouncing own writings from the past 10 years, which he said “contradict the path of the Imam,” a reference to the founding father of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. He said his ideas had led his party, the Islamic Iran Participation Front, “astray, particularly during the election.” Despite his extended act of penitence and his announcement that he was resigning from his party, the prosecutor called for the “maximum punishment,” which in this case is expected to be the death penalty.
This is exactly how the so-called prophet of islam, Mohammed, would have dealt with dissenters in his midst. It's ironic how the Persians have come full circle from their submission to islam to their full adherence to the terror of the fake religion. And the world is seeing first hand the way that islam and the tyrannical political system of a caliphate deals with the inherent freedoms and liberties of human beings.

Iran calls for death penalty on reformists in dock

Many of the defendants had held senior positions under the former moderate president Mohammed Khatami, who ruled the country from 1997 to 2005, and who backed the opposition leader, Mir Hossein Mousavi, in his run for president this summer.

The defendants included a one-time deputy interior minister, Mostafa Tajzadeh, the ex-deputy foreign minister Mohsen Aminzadeh and former government spokesman Abdollah Ramezanzadeh. Also in the dock in the closed-door session were a newspaper editor and Kian Tajbakhsh, an Iranian-American scholar.
“He acted against national security, cast doubt on the election result, spread propaganda against the regime and insulted regime officials, including the Supreme Leader,” the prosecution charged.
Mr Mousavi, whose arrest has also been called for by hardliners within the regime, has accused the Iranian authorities of torturing detainees into making false confessions. Other reformist leaders have also accused prison authorities of raping female demonstrators rounded up in mass arrests during the huge street protests.
Officials said yesterday that a parliamentary committee looking into the post-election disturbances was investigating a rumoured “mass burial” in a Tehran cemetery of people killed in the protests. A reformist website had reported dozens of people being buried in unmarked graves a month after the polls. Opponents of the regime have said as many as 69 people were killed, although the government put the number at 26.
Iran has accused foreign powers, mainly Britain and the United States, of trying to whip up protests against the elections in which Mr Ahmedinejad secured another four-year term.
The Revolutionary Courts have already processed more than 100 prisoners, including a former vice president, a French teaching assistant and two Iranians working for the British and French embassies. Sentences on the accused have yet to be passed.
