Senator Joe Lieberman, Back From Pakistan, Says Pakistani Military May Be Moving Into North Waziristan

This news, if true, would be incredibly positive for the U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan as Senator Joe Lieberman said today that while on his visit to Pakistan, he was informed that Pakistani troops were on the move and the targeted area just might be the province of North Waziristan. From the article at Breitbart:

A senator who's just visited Pakistan says Pakistan's military may be considering a move into the militant stronghold of North Waziristan.
Sen. Joe Lieberman says the Pakistani army is on the move and there's a possibility the U.S. will see activity in that volatile northern region.

Now, I'm not sure if this is wishful thinking on the part of Lieberman but if it is true, this will mean probably the mother of all battles in all of Pakistan as North Waziristan, by far, holds the most Taliban and al Qaeda at the moment - and this is the location where many of the attacks into Afghanistan form.

Let's keep our fingers crossed that we start to see some air support from the Pakistani air force show up in North Waziristan....heck, maybe we can enjoy Pakistani helos dodging U.S. predator drones as the Taliban below scurry around like ants.

Senator: Pakistan army may go to North Waziristan

WASHINGTON (AP) - A senator who's just visited Pakistan says Pakistan's military may be considering a move into the militant stronghold of North Waziristan.
Sen. Joe Lieberman says the Pakistani army is on the move and there's a possibility the U.S. will see activity in that volatile northern region.
Lieberman, an independent from Connecticut, and Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain recently met with Pakistan's military chief, Gen. Ashfaq Parvez Kayani.
Pakistani leaders have said they will send the military into any area where they feel the government's authority is challenged. They have not specifically outlined any future operations.
Lieberman appeared on CNN's "State of the Union."
