Egyptian Police Find Suitcase Bomb Near Gaza/Israel Border

This is a very brief article from JPost so I will excerpt it entirely below here but this find does signal some disturbing facts:

Egypt police: Booby-trapped suitcase full of explosives discovered

An Egyptian security official says a booby-trapped suitcase carrying 25 kilograms of explosives was defused near the Egyptian border with Israel and Gaza.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk to the media, said security was tipped off Tuesday about an object left near a tree south of Rafah border town, two kilometers from Israel.
Police often find weapons caches destined for the Gaza Strip, but the official said finding an "advanced" bomb is rare.
The official said the bomb is being inspected to determine who was behind it and whether it was heading to Israel.

Well, apparently the "official" mentioned in the article is a bit denser that anyone I know since a sophisticated bomb like this, conveniently stashed that close to Israel, OBVIOUSLY was waiting for some Gaza jihadists to grab and bring to the Israeli checkpoint. The disturbing thing is the sophistication of the bomb that is pointed out here.

Now, I think that the chances of this suitcase bomb actually getting INTO Israel are pretty slim but at the right border checkpoint, it could have done a huge amount of damage. The Israelis are going to have to face new and more significant weapon strategies in the next year as the terrorists of Gaza seek more and more Israeli blood.
