The Taliban in Pakistan's North West Frontier Provinces have apparently decided to pull a page out of the Al Qaeda in Iraq handbook and start targeting Shia civilians. We all know what that got al Qaeda in Iraq, don't we? Here's what the Taliban scum did, from the report at Adnkronos:
So, in other words, what the Taliban are saying is this: "We are so chicken shit that we are scared to confront the Pakistani military in the Swat area so we are going to bomb and kill innocent women and children in safe locations like hospitals until we get our way."
Pukes. I've said it a thousand times here at Holger Awakens that there is a special section of Hell reserved for the Taliban and believe me, there ain't no virgins visiting that corner of Hades. One thing that is obvious is that the military operations of the Pakistani forces in the NWFP are certainly bothering the heck out of the Taliban - that's a good thing but at the same time, we may just see more extreme measures taken by the Taliban. Unfortunately, there are enough al Qaeda now mixed in with the Taliban to see that some of the evil acts of that group are being adopted.

(AKI) - The Taliban has claimed responsibility for a devastating suicide attack that killed at least 25 and injured many others at a hospital in Pakistan's North West Frontier Province.The attack took place as Shia Muslims gathered at the hospital in the Dera Ismail Khan district on Tuesday to mourn a local leader who had been shot dead. The latest violence came a day after Pervez Musharraf resigned as president and as political leaders were meeting to discuss to resolve differences over the judiciary and potential presidential candidates. It also underscored the political uncertainty facing Pakistan. An emergency was declared at the hospital soon after the bomb attack and police immediately cordoned off entire area.According to Pakistan's Geo-TV, local Taliban spokesman, Maulvi Umer, warned that such suicide attacks would continue until the security forces ceased their operations in the Swat Valley and other parts of the North West Frontier Province areas.The country's tribal regions have been the scene of persistent violence along the Afghan border and are considered havens for Taliban and al-Qaeda-linked militants.
