Regarding children?

Also how is the new Pope humble when he won't support women clergy?

And if you don't give a damn as you said, why trump his "humbleness?" He clearly discouraged immense, obscene material wealth.

Jesus was no Communist or Socialist. I'm not a Catholic so I reall...@ Jim Santa Fe

I'm not a Catholic so I really don't give a damn if women are priests or not. For that you have to take it up with a Catholic. If they don't want women priests they don't have to have them. The same goes for a married clergy.Findalishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02881549378886491540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1065080297476076227.post-54457820097663600492013-03-14T12:10:31.107-07:002013-03-14T12:10:31.107-07:00I don't think Argentina had a communist govern...I don't think Argentina had a communist government. They had a Military Junta that was anti-communist.

I also don't see the reason to object to women priests. There are women CEO's, women Prime Ministers and women Presidents. So why not women Popes, and women Priests?

Jim Santa FeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1065080297476076227.post-86753572264818928942013-03-14T12:08:16.678-07:002013-03-14T12:08:16.678-07:00@ Jim Santa Fe
Didnt Jesus champion such ideas? T...@ Jim Santa Fe

Didnt Jesus champion such ideas? The liberation of the oppressed? Taking care of the meek?

No he never talked about the oppressed. And the only time he mentioned the meek was in the Sermon on the Mount: Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
---Matthew 5:5

Jesus concerned himself with G-d and G-d's word. His message is one of hope and salvation through his sacrifice. Not of robbing the rich to give to the poor. That is the message of Robin Hood. Most people get the messages mixed up.

I suggest you start reading the Bible. Your eyes will be opened to many truths about Jesus and his ministry while reading the Gospels.Findalishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02881549378886491540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1065080297476076227.post-88308808781228276872013-03-14T11:58:14.254-07:002013-03-14T11:58:14.254-07:00Well I'm aware that Jesus never taught Communi...Well I'm aware that Jesus never taught Communism, but according to the link that was provided the first sentence describing Liberation Theology was as follows: Liberation theology is a Christian school of theology that developed in Latin America in the 1960s and 1970s, focusing on liberation of the oppressed.

Didnt Jesus champion such ideas? Kind of baffling to oppose theology very similar to Jesus'. Especially if you are a newly elected Pope.

Also why the ban on women priests?
