Egyptian Fighter Jets Hit Al Qaeda Camps In Sinai - 13 Jihadis Killed

From Times of India.

Airstrikes kill 13 Sinai militants: Egypt military

EL-ARISH(Egypt): Egyptian military aircraft pounded suspected positions of al-Qaida-inspired fighters in the Sinai Peninsula, killing 13 people, officials said today, as fears rise over an increasingly well-armed insurgency that is striking with increasing regularity in the capital.

In the latest attack, bombs on a highway on Cairo's outskirts hit a police truck.

At the same time, protests by Islamist supporters of ousted President Mohammed Morsi brought further violence, with clashes in several provinces.

In an eastern Cairo district, an attempt by pro-Morsi protesters to commemorate dozens killed in clashes a week ago turned into new battles with police and pro-military civilians that authorities said involved fire by automatic weapons.

The Islamist protesters had tried to set up a stage in Naam Square, blocks from the fighting last Saturday, when civilians descended on them, firing birdshot and throwing stones, participants in the protest said.

Islamists have been protesting nearly daily for months demanding the reinstatement of Morsi, and have been met with a heavy crackdown that has killed hundreds and led to the arrests of thousands since army chief Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi removed the president on July 3. The deaths have brought a new tone from protesters one increasingly demanding vengeance.

"The demands in the first months after Morsi ouster was his reinstatement," said Hassan Farahat, one of the protesters at Naam Square. "But after all the massacres, the demand now is retribution and the execution of el-Sissi."

The military-backed government accuses Morsi's Muslim Brotherhood of orchestrating violence by Islamic militants and has officially declared the group a terrorist organization.

The Brotherhood denies the accusation, calling it a pretext for authorities to crush it.

Since Morsi's ouster, which followed giant nationwide protests demanding his removal, Sinai-based militants have stepped up a campaign of bombings, suicide attacks and shootings against police and soldiers, along with assassinations of senior security officials.

Last Saturday, militants downed a military helicopter in the northern Sinai, killing all five crewmembers.

The al-Qaida-inspired group that has claimed responsibility for most of the previous attacks Ansar Beit al-Maqdis, or Champions of Jerusalem said it downed the aircraft, posting a video of a fighter hitting a helicopter with a shoulder-fired missile. The video suggested the group has gained access to more sophisticated weaponry.

Israel strikes Gaza after rocket attack

The dumbest people on earth live in Gaza.  They fire homemade rockets into Israel...Israel responds with firepower...repeat....repeat....Israelis have to go into Gaza and "clean up" and then the people of Gaza send videos of how oppressed they are.  People of Gaza - you elected Hamas who fires rockets into Israel and that one action alone helps insure that you will continue as the most backward people on earth...don't you think it's time you had new elections?  Oh wait...when WAS the last time you had elections and actually VOTED to keep Hamas in control?

The story comes from Times of India.

Israel strikes Gaza after rocket attack

GAZA CITY, Palestinian Territories: Israeli fighter jets attacked the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip on Friday morning, sources on both sides said, hours after a rocket fired from the Palestinian enclave hit the Jewish state.

Palestinian security sources said two strikes targeted training sites of Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas's armed wing, in Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza.

In two additional air strikes at sites west of southern Gaza city Rafah two Palestinians were injured, the sources said.

The attack came a short while after a rocket fired from Gaza hit an open area in southern Israel, causing no damage or injuries.

A statement from the Israeli military said that in response to the rocket, its aircraft targeted "a terror activity site and a weapon manufacturing facility in the northern Gaza strip and a weapon storage facility" in southern Gaza.

Tensions have recently risen in and around Gaza after a year of relative calm, with six Palestinians and an Israeli killed since December 20 and militant rocket fire sparking retaliatory air strikes.

On January 22, the army killed two Palestinians, one of them identified by Israel as a militant from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine who the army said was behind recent rocket attacks.

Hamas recently confirmed it had deployed forces in Gaza to "preserve the truce" with Israel, brokered by Egypt, which ended the last major confrontation in November 2012.

While Hamas does not routinely launch projectiles at the Jewish state, Israel says it holds the Islamist group that seized power in Gaza in 2007 responsible for any such attacks.

The Gaddafi Rape Chambers

Some people just deserve to die a violent death....Muammar Gadaffi was one of them.

The story comes from The Clarion Project.

Gaddafi's Rape Chambers Revealed in BBC Documentary

Children -- boys and girls as young as 14 -- were regularly kidnapped from their schools and raped by the former leader.

A new documentary by the BBC reveals for the first time former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi’s rape chambers, where – after kidnapping girls and boys from their schools – they were tortured, raped and made to watch pornography.

"Some were only 14," remembered one teacher at a Tripoli school, where one of the chambers existed. "They would simply take the girl they wanted. They had no conscience, no morals, not an iota of mercy, even though she was a mere child."

The documentary, “Mad Dog – Gadhafi's Secret World,” which airs on the BBC program Storyville on February 3, interviews eye witnesses and survivors who recount horrific moments in Gaddafi’s warped world.

Witnesses testify how Gaddafi and body guards would regularly visit schools, where his victims would be chosen. A pat on the head of an innocent child would mean abduction later by Gaddafi’s guards. The child would then be brought to one of his chambers – preserved as they were and shown for the first time in the documentary – where they would undergo gynecological tests for sexually transmitted diseases before being taken to the dictator to be raped.

"The women would first be raped by the dictator then passed on, like used objects, to one of his sons and eventually to high-ranking officials for more abuse," said Seham Sergewa, a Benghazi-based psychologist who interviewed victims for the International Criminal Court.

Those that survived were often drafted into Gaddafi’s female corps of private body guards, where they were made to endure the abuse for years.

One such guard recounted how the girls were forced to witness the execution of Gaddafi’s enemies. "Early one morning, we were taken to a closed hall," one former guard recalled. "We were to witness the murder of 17 students. We were not allowed to scream. We were made to cheer and shout. To act as though we were delighted by this display. Inside I was crying. They shot them all, one by one."

Some of the girls were held for years, while others – those with gaping injuries -- were left to die in parking garages or garbage dumps.

"One just disappeared and they never found her again, despite her father and brothers searching for her. Another was found three months later, cut, raped and lying in the middle of a park. She had been left for dead," said a teacher at a Tripoli school.

Those who managed to escape were often rejected by their families, as women who have been raped are considered by many Muslims to have “dishonored” their families.

Gaddafi’s harem also included young boys. "He was terribly sexually deviant," testified Gaddafi’s former chief of protocol Nuri Al Mismari. "Young boys and so on. He had his own boys. They used to be called the 'services group.’ "

While filming the documentary, the BBC discovered that Gaddafi – who was the dictator of Libya for 42 years --had employed a personal hit squad based in Cuba to kill his enemies, many of whom were kept by the dictator in his freezer after their deaths so that Gaddafi could view their bodies.

"He would visit his victims. It was as though they were some sort of macabre souvenirs,” said Baha Kikhia, whose husband, a foreign minister was killed by Gaddafi and whose body was one of those found a freezer after Gaddafi’s demise. “Something that he could look at and touch to remind himself of his omnipotence. Some had been there as long as 25 years. "

Gaddafi was shot and killed by Libyan rebels in 2011, after he was found hiding.

Australian Muslim Father Charged With Bringing His 9 Month Old Daughter To Indonesia For Genital Circumcision

From NineMSN via The Religion of Peace.

NSW baby girl circumcised in Indonesia

An Australian father charged with organising to have his baby daughter circumcised allegedly travelled to Indonesia for the procedure.

The NSW man, who cannot be named, took his then nine-month-old girl overseas, where she was circumcised sometime between February and March of 2012, police allege.

But it wasn't until the girl's mother took her to a doctor six months later that authorities were alerted to what had allegedly happened.

Following an investigation, the father was arrested on December 31 last year by officers attached to the Sex Crimes Squad.

He was later charged with aiding, abetting or procuring female genital mutilation.

Police have previously said that it was unclear in what country the alleged procedure took place.

But papers tendered during the father's brief appearance at Manly Local Court on Tuesday state it took place in Jakarta.

The girl had her clitoral tissue removed and underwent a labial fusion, the documents state.

The man said nothing during the appearance in which his lawyer applied for a national suppression order on his identity and that of his wife and daughter.

The court heard the father recently moved to Victoria where he remains on bail.

The father is believed to be the first person to have been charged in NSW with procuring a genital procedure abroad.

However, it is the second prosecution in the state of the practice.

In 2012, eight members of a small religious order in Sydney - including a sheikh, a retired nurse and two parents - were charged over the female genital mutilation of two sisters, aged six and seven.

Their case remains before the courts.

Community Services Minister Pru Goward said earlier this month that anecdotal evidence showed the practice was "more common than the reports would suggest".

She said the crime often only came to light when the child suffered a complication from the procedure or there was a marital breakdown.

The father is due to appear at Downing Centre Local Court in March.

Barack Obama Isn't the Only Country's Leader To Fundamentally Transform a Republic

Turkey, which once stood for secular government rule, where the country's constitution was held in highest regard has reverted to just another run-of-the-mill Islamic dictatorships ....we in America know the feeling all too well.

The story comes from Family Security Matters.

Turkey: How to Lose a Democracy

Once more, supporters of "democracy" in the Muslim world do not understand the issue. Majority rule, when there are no institutions to temper it (such as the courts or free press), does not provide a "liberal democracy." Rather, it offers abuse of power or anarchy.

Turkey, the one seemingly genuine participatory republic, is teetering on the edge of losing it. The European Union, which rides herd on Turkey's evolution toward a European-style democracy, mistakenly regards the current Islamist governing party as "mildly Islamist" (the Economist Magazine). Mildly Islamist is like mildly pregnant.

Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the first Islamist to head the state (as Kamal Ataturk turns over in his grave) has managed his administration's economy well, getting him re-elected three times. However, he has been instituting a policy of creeping, gradual Islamism that bodes ill for Turkey. Over his tenure, he has done the following:

o Transform Turkey's mutually beneficial relationship with Israel into hostility. This gets him points with the Arab world, a world that the non-Arab Turks (Ottoman Empire) once ruled. One wonders at Arab historic amnesia.

o Reversed a ban on religious garb (veils and fezes) established 90 years ago by the republic's founder, Mustafa Kamal Ataturk. Erdogan has lifted the ban on headscarves in government buildings, including the parliament and universities. Europeans do not see that the headscarf is the forward banner of Islamism, not just a personal choice. Perhaps if women were allowed to wear a headscarf and a miniskirt, that would be free choice. This is not the case.

Ataturk, made it clear that there was no room for religion in official life (separation of church and state). Nobody was to wear identifying signs of Islam or any religion in public buildings, parliament, schools, or universities. (The French model.) This cornerstone of a secular state is now in reverse, which should alarm Europeans.

o A TV newswoman was condemned publicly for appearing on camera in a "revealing" dress. Vice President Huseyin Celic complained that her cleavage was visible through a keyhole neckline. She was fired the next day. Worse, however, is the news by the Committee to Protect Journalists that Turkey has the world's worst persecution and jailing of journalists.

o University housing is often raided because the male and female students fraternize at night. An apartment housing three young women was raided and the women arrested and fined for entertaining male guests (no, they were not prostitutes).

o Alcohol sales are prohibited after 10 p.m. Goodbye tourist industry.

o The Prime Minister has scolded Turkish women for not staying home and having at least three children for their country. He frowns on women's shelters because battered women (horrific numbers in Turkey) should just stay home and put up with it.

Erdogan has also resurrected that old Middle Eastern paranoia that the recent revelation of his and his cronies' financial corruption is a "plot by America and Israel." Not even Turks believe that one.

Those of us, including educated secular Turks, are criticized for being paranoid about the creeping Islamization of Turkey, a sad thing for this Muslim World role model. The irony may be that as Iran starts to throw off its oppressors, Turkey may soon be the next really Islamic state. Kemel Kilicdaoglu of the opposition Republic People's Party recently observed: "Women in Saudi Arabia are struggling to be granted the right to drive. If you come across such a ban [in Turkey] tomorrow, don't be surprised."

I would be surprised. Turkey will never be like Saudi Arabia, which is unique even in the Muslim world for having the most backward and oppressive culture in its region. However, it is very sad to see a truly modernizing secular country sliding back into its oppressive past.

It is easier to get rid of a dictator than get rid of a headscarf, once it is made mandatory. This will be just one issue roiling the secular and intellectual factions in Turkey who have begun to fight back. They demonstrated loudly last summer. They will do so again.

The Infighting of Jihadi Groups in Syria Heats Up Even More

Hopefully, they will kill each other off during this process.

The story comes from The Long War Journal.

Ahrar al Sham leader criticizes head of Islamic State of Iraq and the Sham

A top official in Ahrar al Sham and the Islamic Front, Hassan Abboud, has sharply criticized the Islamic State of Iraq and the Sham (ISIS) and its emir, Abu Bakr al Baghdadi, in a written statement and audio message released on social media pages.

Ahrar al Sham and the Islamic Front have been engaged in an ongoing and heated dispute with ISIS.

In his written statement, Abboud poses three questions for Baghdadi. The first question chides Baghdadi for rejecting a reconciliation initiative put forward by Sheikh Abdallah Muhammad al Muhaysini. Abboud asks Baghdadi if it is appropriate to reject such an initiative by imposing conditions that are not found in the book of Allah.

Second, Abboud asks Baghdadi if he agrees with the ISIS sharia officials who have "branded Ahrar al Sham and the Islamic Front as infidels." ISIS' habit of labeling other jihadist groups as infidels was criticized in a recent audio message from Ayman al Zawahiri. The al Qaeda emir did not name any specific groups in his message, but he clearly took aim at ISIS.

Sheikh Muhaysini's reconciliation plan, named the "Initiative of the Ummah," was released just hours after Zawahiri's message. And Muhaysini specifically cited Zawahiri's message both in his social media posts and in a video announcing his new proposal.

Third, and finally, Abboud introduces a clever argument that is intended to throw Baghdadi's accusations of apostasy back in his face. In rejecting Muhaysini's initiative, ISIS demanded that the jihadists set forth a clear policy for working with foreign states throughout the region. Multiple factions within the Islamic Front, including Ahrar al Sham, reportedly receive support from Gulf States, either officially or unofficially.

Abboud asks Baghdadi if he agrees with ISIS sharia officials who would brand all of the Taliban "as apostates," and especially Taliban emir Mullah Omar, simply because Omar has said that he desires "good relations with the rest of the world's countries." It is not clear if ISIS officials have made this specific accusation, or if this is simply the logical conclusion of the sharia arguments ISIS has made.

Abboud cites a Tunisian sharia official within ISIS who has apparently argued that if the emir of a group "commits apostasy," then everyone who has "pledged allegiance to [the emir] also becomes an apostate." By this logic, Abboud writes, then al Qaeda emir Ayman al Zawahiri would be "an infidel." Al Qaeda's emirs long ago swore fealty to the Taliban head when it comes to the jihad in Afghanistan.

And if Zawahiri is an infidel, Abboud continues, then so is Baghdadi because ISIS has said that Baghdadi "pledged allegiance" to Zawahiri. It "follows" that all of ISIS must be an "infidel" organization because Baghdadi is its emir.

Abboud argues that if Baghdadi persists in this line of argument, then the ISIS emir would have to "disavow" his previous claims of allegiance and "revert to Islam all over again."

At the heart of the conflict between Baghdadi and the other jihadist leaders is ISIS' exclusionary claims with respect to implementing sharia law within Syria. ISIS and its sharia officials have refused to recognize the legitimacy of officials from other organizations.

Abboud's barbs at Baghdadi are, therefore, a clever way of turning the stances taken by ISIS against the group. According to Abboud's logic, either Baghdadi has made an unreasonable demand in rejecting Muhaysini's proposal, or he must disavow all of the senior jihadists above him, including respected figures such as Mullah Omar and Ayman al Zawahiri.

Abboud's mention of the Taliban is not the first time that Mullah Omar's organization has entered the discussion of how the Syrian rebels should organize themselves.

After Sheikh Muhaysini reviewed and approved the Islamic Front's charter, which was released late last year, the Saudi commented that the jihadists in Syria should view Osama bin Laden and Mullah Omar as their role models. Muhaysini said that bin Laden and Omar were the "vanguards" of the jihad because of the success they had in marrying their organizations in the face of global opposition.

Muhaysini's comparison may be an apt description of the alliances forming inside Syria today. The Al Nusrah Front is openly loyal to Ayman al Zawahiri while working closely with "local" jihadist groups inside Syria, including Ahrar al Sham and the Islamic Front. Moreover, Ayman al Zawahiri's main representative in Syria is a founding member of, and senior leader in, Ahrar al Sham.

However, Abu Bakr al Baghdadi sees himself as the rightful ruler and does not want to share power with anyone.

The Philippines Hasn't Solved Their Muslim Menace Yet

"The military launched the assault to protect villages after Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Movement fighters staged attacks in southern Maguindanao province," President Benigno Aquino III said. — File Photo

Just days after the Philippine government gave away part of their country to keep Islamic terrorists from killing more people, the army needed to suppress ANOTHER Islamic terror group from screwing up the original deal.

And so it goes...and as I stated the other day, the group that got the small section of the country as a reward for their years of murder and brutality will want more land...and more land...and more land and they will begin killing again.

Soon.

The story comes from DAWN.

Philippines says 37 rebels killed in offensive

MANILA: At least 37 Islamic fighters have been killed in a two-day offensive against insurgents opposed to a new peace deal between the government and the main Muslim rebel group, military officials said Wednesday.

President Benigno Aquino III said the military launched the assault to protect villages after Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Movement fighters staged attacks in southern Maguindanao province.

Troops were aiming "to seriously degrade their abilities to again act as spoilers," Aquino told reporters.

The rebels involved in the fighting have opposed peace talks between the government and the larger Moro Islamic Liberation Front, which were concluded over the weekend in Malaysia.

They said because the Malaysian-brokered talks would not lead to a separate homeland for minority Muslims in the south they would continue their armed uprising.

Regional military spokesman Col. Dickson Hermoso said 12 of the slain rebels have been identified with the help of village leaders, while others were buried in graves that were discovered by troops in and near a village in Maguindanao.

One soldier died and four others were wounded by rebel bombs hidden around a mosque late Tuesday, Hermoso said.

Rebel spokesman Abu Misry disputed the military report, saying there have been no deaths and only seven insurgents had been wounded in army shelling and helicopter rocket fire.

Hundreds of villagers fled the fighting, which underscored the difficulty of ending violence in the country's south.

Aside from the main Moro rebel group which concluded negotiations Saturday with the government for a new Muslim autonomy deal in the south, at least four other smaller insurgent groups threaten the peace in the region.

Those groups include the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Movement and the smaller but more brutal Abu Sayyaf, which is notorious for bombings, kidnappings for ransom and beheadings.

Aquino said the new peace deal would bring the government and the 11,000-strong main Moro rebel group together to pursue outlaws who have long thrived in the conflict.

72 Murdered Christians in Nigeria, Muslim Murderers Home Free

Boko Haram has killed 72 Nigerian Christians this week.  No one in America knows about it because your American mainstream media doesn't give a shit about dead Christians but if ONE Muslim had been massacred ANYWHERE in the world by a Christian, every network would spend three nights on it.

Nigeria is a killing field.

The story comes from The Clarion Project.

Boko Haram Massacres 74 in Last 2 Days of Advancing Attacks

In a series of attacks, 50 Islamist militants surrounded a village in northeast Nigeria with explosives, killing 52 people on Monday. The day before, a church was attacked in a nearby village, killing 22 and wounding 16.

Boko Haram, an Islamist terrorist group, was blamed for the attacks. The group, whose name literally means "Western education is forbidden," was able to execute the attacks despite the efforts of the Nigerian military to eradicate the group. Last May, the Nigerian government declared a state of emergency in three states in northern Nigeria where the terror group is the most active.

Terrorists launched their assault at the close of a busy market day in the Kawuri village of Borno. The village was surrounded by explosives. Gunmen then stormed the village with additional explosives and heavy guns. Residents not killed in the attack on the market were attacked in their homes, which were burned to the ground.

A survivor who fled the village said, “No house was left standing,” confirming reports that 300 houses had been razed in the attack.

The previous day, the group attacked a busy church in the neighboring Adamawa state. Witnesses told the Reuters news agency that the attackers set off bombs and fired into the congregation. Twenty-two people were killed in that attack. Those that survived the initial attack were shot. Homes were burned and residents were taken hostage during a four-hour siege, according to local reports.

In the month of January alone, attacks by Boko Haram, claimed the lives of close to 200 people in the area around Maiduguri, the capital of Borno. In a single day, 70 people were killed when a car bomb was set off in Maiduguri mid-month.

Hundreds of residents from close to 30 farming villagess around Maiduguri have fled their homes, taking refuge in campsites just outside the city.

This month alone, the UN reports that more than 5,000 Nigerians have crossed the borders into neighboring Cameroon and Niger to escape the violence. Since the state of emergency was declared, more than 1,200 people have been killed by Islamists, according to the UN.

Holder To Ban Religion In Terror Probes

Boy, isn't this a relief....for all of the hundreds and hundreds of Christian, Buddhist and Hindu terrorists in America who have been plotting attacks on army bases, recruiting centers and world trade buildings here, you don't have to worry about your religious background being used as part of the investigation of the terror plot....thanks to Attorney General Eric Holder.  I would have listed "Muslim" above as well but of course that would have meant some scrutiny upon me by the Justice Department and hell, we all know that Muslims don't spread terror based on their religion.  Right?

The story comes from Family Security Matters.

Holder To Ban Religion In Terror Probes

According to NBC News, the Justice Department will soon prohibit religious profiling in terror cases. The move, if true, would completely blind federal law enforcement to the threat from Islamic extremism.

Already, the department has forced the FBI to bleach references to "Islam" and "jihad" from its counterterrorism training materials. It's also made it harder for agents to infiltrate radical mosques.

But Attorney General Eric Holder reportedly now wants to make it illegal for agents to even consider religion in their investigations.

Democrats on the Hill are cheering the changes, along with the ACLU and radical Muslim Brotherhood front groups, who have all lobbied the administration for them. The Council on American-Islamic Relations, which has seen several of its officials jailed on terror-related charges, calls it "a step in the right direction."

Appearing before the Democrat-controlled Senate Judiciary Committee in 2012, CAIR demanded the administration remove religion as a factor in terrorism investigations, even though just four years earlier Justice had named CAIR an unindicted terrorist co-conspirator.

The Islamic Society of North America, another designated co-conspirator, hailed the move as a civil-rights victory worthy of praise from "Dr. Martin Luther King Jr."

The timing couldn't be worse. Experts say that if anything, the U.S. should be expanding its terrorist profile to include radical Muslim women along with men. Russian intelligence warns female suicide bombers are threatening next month's Winter Olympics.

The FBI missed the Boston Marathon bombings because it failed to focus on radicalized local Muslims. The only way law enforcement can effectively head off future attacks — including possibly the upcoming Super Bowl in New Jersey — is by gathering predictive intelligence in the Muslim community — namely, inside mosques.

However, the attorney general is threatening to cut off these investigative avenues for the FBI, as well as for border agents charged with protecting the nation from Islamic extremists at airports and land crossings.

After 9/11, the Bush administration allowed agents to profile at U.S. borders and in cases related to national security and terrorism. "Federal law enforcement must use every legitimate tool to prevent future attacks," states the Justice Department's "Guidance Regarding the Use of Race by Federal Law Enforcement Agencies."

These guidelines, in force since 2003, have been effective in disrupting some 42 attacks by Muslim terrorists against the homeland since 2001. Now they will be amended to appease radical Muslim groups like CAIR.

After last year's horrific attack on a Kenyan shopping mall, in which Muslim terrorists shot people for failing to answer questions about Islam correctly, CAIR showed its typical callous indifference.

Al Nusrah Front Suicide Bomber From Saudi Arabia Blows Himself Up at Syrian Army Checkpoint...13 Soldiers Killed

The suicide bomber, who blew himself up in an explosives-rigged car, sparked clashes around Rahjan between the army and rebels that raged until dawn on Tuesday. — Reuters Photo

We all know that suicide attacks are happening nearly every day in Syria and that the war between Syria and the "rebel" groups will go on for a very long time but this latest suicide bombing that killed 13 Syrian soldiers is the best example of how the country has become a jihadi magnet.  You see, this suicide bomber traveled into Syria to join the al-Nusrah Front al Qaeda group...and he was from Saudi Arabia.

So, in a nutshell, you have Syrians signed up as soldiers in the Syria army who are backed by the Shia nation of Iran, killed by a Wahabi driven Sunni Muslim from Saudi Arabia.

The story comes from DAWN.

Al Qaeda linked rebels bomb Syrian defence minister's town

BEIRUT: A suicide bomber from an Al Qaeda-linked rebel group killed 13 soldiers in an attack on the Syrian defence minister's hometown, an opposition monitoring group said on Tuesday.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said a Saudi militant who came to Syria to fight with the country's Al Qaeda affiliate, the Nusra Front, blew himself up late on Monday at an army checkpoint in the village of Rahjan in central Hama province.

Syria's nearly three-year conflict began as peaceful protests against President Bashar al-Assad's rule but has devolved into civil war that has killed more than 130,000 and brought violence to every region.

Rahjan, in a remote eastern part of Hama, is the ancestral home of Defence Minister Fahd al-Freij, who is now living in the capital Damascus.

“This is a message from the Nusra fighters to Freij: 'Youcannot protect your own relatives,'” said Rami Abdelrahman, headof the Observatory, a Britain-based group with a network ofsources across Syria.

Freij is a Sunni Muslim and Rahjan is largely Sunni, another reason the attack by Sunni militants was unusual in a civil war that has become increasingly sectarian and drawn foreign militants to join the opposing sides.

The uprising has been led by Syria's majority Sunnis.

Assadis from the minority Alawite sect, an offshoot of Shia Islam, and has been largely supported by Syrian minorities.

Shi'ite groups such as Lebanon's Hezbollah are helping Assad. But some Sunnis, such as Freij, continue to back Assad.

Abdel rahman said the attack by the suicide bomber, who blew himself up in an explosives-rigged car, sparked clashes around Rahjan between the army and rebels that raged until dawn on Tuesday.

Five Nusra fighters and were killed as were three combatants from other rebel groups, he said.

Israeli jets suspected of attacking Syrian missile store

I love it.  I'd just as soon see Israel wipe out EVERY missile in Syria and when they're done with that, wipe out every damn one that Hezbollah has stored away in Lebanon.

The story comes from The Telegraph.

Israeli jets suspected of attacking Syrian missile store

Israel is suspected of being behind an attack on a Syrian military base that targeted a stock of Russian-made missiles.

Storerooms holding the missiles near the port city of Latakia were hit by Israeli war planes late on Sunday, according to a Syrian opposition source talking to Israel Radio. No confirmed details of the strike had emerged last night.

Official Israeli government and military sources declined to comment on the attack. But former Israeli Defence Forces intelligence chief Amos Yadlin said any such airstrike would be in keeping with Israeli policy to intercept the transfer of advanced weapons to Hezbollah or to Syria.

"Israel has declared four weapons system as a red line: advanced air defences, advanced and accurate ballistic missiles, surface-to-sea advanced missiles like Yakhont, and chemical weapons.

"In each case where Israel has intelligence that these are moving from Syria to Lebanon, or arriving to Syria from Iran or Russia, it seems - if the sources are right - that Israel is acting upon this," he told the Telegraph.

Residents of Latakia reported hearing loud explosions just around midnight and there were also reports of Israeli planes heard breaking the sound barrier.

Prof Uzi Rabi, a Middle East expert at Tel Aviv University, said Israel was "obligated to take action" if the Assad regime or Hizbollah obtained missiles like the S-300, which posed a threat to Israeli warplanes flying over Syria or Lebanon.

Other attacks on weapons convoys in Latakia have been attributed to Israel in the past. Last November, US sources said that Israel had destroyed a Hizbollah-bound shipment containing long-range, Russian-made missiles.

In July 2013, Israel also struck a Syrian missile warehouse near Latakia which contained Russian-made Yakhont anti-ship missiles, according to US sources.

But that attack did not succeed in wiping out all of the weapons, American officials revealed to the New York Times.

US officials said at the time that further Israeli strikes were likely.

The Sick Middle East

The Sick Middle East
by DANIEL PIPES
January 26, 2014

The recent fall of Fallujah, Iraq, to an Al-Qaeda-linked group provides an unwelcome reminder of the American resources and lives devoted in 2004 to 2007 to control the city - all that effort expended and nothing to show for it. Similarly, outlays of hundreds of billions of dollars to modernize Afghanistan did not prevent the release of 72 prisoners who have attacked Americans.

These two examples point to a larger conclusion: maladies run so deep in the Middle East (minus remarkable Israel) that outside powers cannot remedy them. Here's a fast summary:

Water is running out. A dam going up on the Blue Nile in Ethiopia threatens substantially to cut Egypt's main water supply by devastating amounts for years. Syria and Iraq suffer from water crises because the Euphrates and Tigris rivers are drying up. Growing the narcotic qat plant absorbs so much of Yemen's limited water supplies that Sana'a may be the first modern capital city to be abandoned because of drought. Ill considered wheat-growing schemes in Saudi Arabia depleted aquifers.

On the flip side, the poorly constructed Mosul Dam in Iraq could collapse, drowning half a million immediately and leave many more stranded without electricity or food. Sewage runs rampant in Gaza. Many countries suffer from electricity black-outs, and especially in the oppressive summer heat that routinely reaches 120 degrees.

People are also running out. After experiencing a huge and disruptive youth bulge, the region's birth rate is collapsing. Iran, for example, has undergone the steepest decline in birth rates of any country ever recorded, going from 6.6 births per woman in 1977 to 1.6 births in 2012. This has created what one analyst calls an "apocalyptic panic" that fuels Tehran's aggression.

Poor schools, repressive governments, and archaic social mores assure abysmal rates of economic growth. Starvation haunts Egypt, Syria, Yemen, and Afghanistan.

Vast reserves of oil and gas have distorted nearly every aspect of life. Miniature medieval-like monarchies like Qatar become surreal world powers playing at war in Libya and Syria, indifferent to the lives they break, as a vast underclass of oppressed foreign workers toils away and a princess deploys the largest budget for art purchases in human history. The privileged can indulge their cruel impulses, protected by connections and money. Sex tourism to poor countries like India flourishes.

Efforts at democracy and political participation either wither, as in Egypt, or elevate fanatics who cleverly disguise their purposes, as in Turkey. Efforts to overthrow greedy tyrants lead to yet-worse ideological tyrants (as in Iran in 1979) or to anarchy (as in Libya and Yemen). One commonly roots for both sides to lose. Rule of law remains a fata morgana.

Islamism, currently the most dynamic and threatening political ideology, is summed up by a morbid Hamas declaration to Israelis: "We love death more than you love life." Polygyny, burqas, genital mutilation, and honor killing make Middle Eastern women the world's most oppressed.

Middle Eastern life suffers from acute biases - often official - based on religion, sect, ethnicity, tribe, skin color, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, work, and disability. Slavery remains a scourge.

Conspiracy theories, political zealotry, resentment, repression, anarchy, and aggression rule the region's politics. Modern notions of the individual remain weak in societies where primordial bonds of family, tribe, and clan remain dominant.

The Middle East suffers from an urge to snuff out whole countries. Israel is the best known potential victim but Kuwait actually disappeared for a half year while Lebanon, Jordan, and Bahrain could be swallowed up at any time.

Middle Eastern states spend outsized amounts of their wealth on intelligences services and the military, creating redundant forces to check each other. They venture abroad to buy tank, ship, and plane baubles. They devote inordinate resources to chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons, and the platforms to deliver them. Even terrorist groups such as Al-Qaeda plot to acquire WMD. Cutting-edge methods of terrorism develop in the Middle East.

Economic and political failure creates large bodies of refugees; Afghans have made up the world's largest refugee population since the 1980s; Syrians now threaten to overtake them, sowing poverty and chaos in their lands of refuge. Desperate souls attempt to leave the region altogether for Western countries, with more than a few dying along the way. Those who make it bring their region's maladies to such tidy countries as Sweden and Australia.

Nineteenth-century diplomats dubbed the Ottoman Empire "the Sick Man of Europe." Now, I nominate the whole Middle East the Sick Man of the World. The region's hatreds, extremism, violence, and despotism require many decades to remedy.

While this process perhaps takes place, the outside world is best advised not to expend blood and treasure to redeem the Middle East - a hopeless task - but on protecting itself from the region's manifold threats, from Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and harems to mega-terrorism and electromagnetic pulse.

I've noticed that when the Taliban start assassinating political officials and leaders, that the Pakistani government tends to respond with force.   Just sayin'.

The story comes from DAWN.

Gunship helicopters pound militant hideouts in Waziristan

PESHAWAR: At least two persons were killed in a blitz carried out by Pakistan's military in Mirali area of North Waziristan tribal region whereas three men, reportedly associated with the Awami National Party (ANP), were gunned down in Badhbher area of Peshawar.

Military gunship helicopters shelled suspected militant hideouts in several areas of Mirali in North Waziristan region, killing two persons and wounding several others.

The identities of the victims and the number of casualties could not be independently verified as the access of media is restricted in the region.

North Waziristan is one of the seven regions in Pakistan’s Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) governed by tribal laws. An extremist insurgency led by the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) plagues the region and the area is known to be infested with militants, including those from Al Qaeda and other armed extremist organisations.

The region, which lies along the Pak-Afghan border, also comes under attacks from US drones frequently which target militant hideouts in the area.

Yemeni Muslim Girl Becomes a Bride at 8 Years Old

If you listen closely, you can almost hear the ghost of Mohammed in Hell screaming in delight as word comes out that a Yemeni father married his 8 year old daughter off to a 30 year old man...for money.

Oh yeah, one of the world's great religions this Islam is...right?

The story comes from Emirates 24/7 via The Religion of Peace.

Yemeni held for forcing 8-year-old to marry

Yemen’s police arrested a local man after he forced his eight-year-old daughter to marry a 30-year-old man because of his wealth.

Newspapers said Afnan Al Shibani’s relatives, who were strongly opposed to the marriage, reported him to the police after they failed to dissuade him.

Police raided Al Shibani’s house in the southern town of Ibb and arrested him a few days before the wedding on Thursday. Police then handed the girl to her uncle.

Newspapers said the girl is just below eight years of age and is in the second class in the primary school in the province.

Six Pakistani Children Find Taliban IED, Play With It and All Die When It Goes Off

The Taliban can add six more little kids to their total of innocents they have killed for the year.  Good job guys, I'm sure Mohammed would be proud...now perhaps you can start working on your quota of little girls to rape.

The Black Widows of the 2014 Winter Olympics

From Family Security Matters.

The Caucasus Emirate and its Capacity to use Women Terrorists and other Methods to Attack the 2014 Winter Olympics

Security forces in Russia are frantically searching for four women thought to be suicide terrorists hiding out in the run up to the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. Ruzanna Ibragimova-one of the four-is believed to have already penetrated the "iron ring" of Putin's security perimeter drawn in the radius around Sochi-waiting to attack.

Twenty-two year old Ruzanna Ibragimova, is motivated both by the separatist political and religious ideology of her senders and by her own personal trauma and desire for revenge. As many of the dozens of "Black Widows" that have gone before her; she is both a widow and traumatically bereaved. Russian forces gunned down her husband, a rebel insurgent, last February as she sat in the car beside him. Wounded as well, she escaped death. Now she is willingly seeking it-after having trained under the protection of a Dagestani group that has already successfully dispatched female bombers to Moscow-one of them having caused a deadly explosion in the metro there in March 2010.

Oksana Aslanova another of the Dagestani women under search, like Ruzanna, is also traumatically bereaved. She is ready to avenge her husband's death-Emir Valedjanov, the leader of the rebel group Jamaat Sharia of Dagestan was also killed by Russian forces. Upon his death, Oksana volunteered to become a suicide bomber and prepared to detonate herself last June on the Day of Russia in Dagestan, but she had to wait as the operation was postponed. Oksana is now believed to be hidden somewhere near Sochi-filled with the desire to "martyr" herself.

Zaira Allieva and Dzannet Tshakhaeva, the other two women under search were good friends of Naida Asilova who in October of 2013 exploded herself on a packed bus in Volgograd. A week later the women fled Dagestan and are also believed to be in the vicinity of Sochi, ready to attack.

President Putin swears that his security is tight, yet posters of the women have been widely disseminated, and there is clearly a race to see who will win in this fight against terror. On the side of the state, Putin's security apparatus is heavy handed, arresting and intimidating innocent family members of missing rebels throwing them in prisons as they have in the past. On their side, the Caucasus terrorists have shown themselves to have well placed terror cells, highly motivated cadres-whose motto is "Victory or Paradise"- who are clearly unafraid to die for their cause. They have a demonstrated capacity for small scale but terrifying attacks-successfully detonating in transportation hubs and places where the public congregates.

While they may not be able to penetrate the actual Olympic venue, however if past experience with bribing corrupt security officials is a measure of security it doesn't bode well for public safety. In the Beslan attack, the terrorists admitted to their hostages that they paid only small bribes to pass through Russian security checkpoints. And they also had managed to arrange for a cache of guns stored under the floorboards of the school prior to the attack. These terrorist cells also incredibly managed to place explosives hidden under the review stand of then Chechen President Kadyrov, who when he stood to proudly review the might of the Russian forces passing before him was remotely detonated-killing him and ending the festivities.

Does this mean the terrorists may have a cache of guns already hidden inside the Olympic venue and will stage a Munich style attack on the actual athletes? Unlikely-given that their present leader, Doku Umarov found the public outrage over the Beslan school children too high a price to pay in trying to achieve his terrorist goals. At that time he swore off of suicide attacks and attacking civilians, although since summer he's sworn back on to suicide attacks. Yet he would likely have reservations about specifically gunning down the athletes themselves-knowing it would cause the same type of backlash and public outrage for his group.

Attacking the Russian Olympic review stand however would not be outside their range of desires-but likely after Kadyrov's assassination the Russians are taking extraordinary precautions in that regard. So while the four women who are on the loose continue to be a serious terrorist threat-it's not only suicide attacks that may be staged for this Olympics. Clearly through bribes and prior planning these terrorists have shown a capacity to stage any number and types of attacks and the Russian security forces that are the barrier to stopping them aren't immune to corruption.

While everyone hopes this Olympics will be unmarred by terrorism, the terrorists have already achieved some of their goals. Ticket sales are down; country delegations are carefully considering who to send and who to keep home in the interest of safety. The terrorists have managed to dominate the news-causing attention to be paid to both them and their cause. And unfortunately for Russia, they are one of the only resistance movements with teeth-able to make any stand against Putin's dismantling of the constitution and anti-democratization of Russia. Showing their might in Sochi may be gaining them many more adherents in the region.

Chechen, and now Dagestani women have been in the terrorist fight since rebel leader Shamil Basaev shifted the Chechen's fight for independence from a secular separatist movement to a militant jihad. He made this decision after being influenced by the middle easterner Khattab who convinced him that the only way to win, after two grievous wars, against the overwhelming Russian military was for the Chechen rebels to adopt the martyrdom ideology and begin a campaign of suicide terrorism.

When "martyrdom" operations were adopted in 2000, two Chechen women were the first to go as suicide bombers. Over one hundred and fifteen suicide bombers waging a campaign of over twenty-five attacks followed them. These included men and women exploding themselves on Russian planes, buses, trains, subways and at checkpoints; taking eight hundred hostages in a Moscow theater; and over thirteen hundred hostages-mostly women and children in a school in Beslan. Terrorist women have been solidly represented in all of these attacks-making up fifty percent of the suicide bombers.

Putin may now regret carpet bombing Grozny in the second Chechen war of independence and causing nearly half of the Chechen population to flee the country. Now, some sympathetic to the cause, holding "clean" passports from countries like Canada, Belgium, the Netherlands, even the U.S. -where they took asylum-could now reappear to join the fight.

And now the terrorist movement has spread throughout the region infecting nearby Dagestan and Ingushetia, and with the Olympics being held in Sochi spreading even further. While each of us cheers on our athletes and hopes for the safety of all, the terrorist cauldron boils on in the Russian Caucasus. Let's hope it doesn't boil over during the Olympics.

Nigeria's Boko Haram Has Killed 15 Christians This Month...And Tomorrow Is Sunday....Again

From Christian Today Australia via The Religion of Peace.

Islamic extremists in Nigeria attack Christians at Sunday worship

Islamic extremists have attacked villages in three states in Nigeria every Sunday this month, killing at least 15 Christians.

Christian leaders in the Agatu Local Government Area of central Nigeria’s Benue state said ethnic Fulani herdsmen were responsible for raids on two villages that left seven Christians dead on Sunday morning (Jan. 19), though a Fulani spokesman said the assailants must have come from elsewhere as there are no Fulani herdsmen known in the area.

The previous Sunday (Jan. 12) in northeastern Nigeria’s Borno state, Christian leaders said terrorists from the Islamic extremist Boko Haram group attacked Sabon Gari village in the Gwoza Local Government Area, killing eight Christians. In Kaduna state the Sunday before that (Jan. 5), churchmen in the Manchok area mobilized in time to repel attacks by Fulani herdsmen, Christian leaders told Morning Star News.

In the Benue state attacks, Fulani herdsmen raided Oweto and Utuluewu villages at about 10 a.m., destroying homes and maiming and killing Christian residents, two Christian leaders said.

“They killed seven of our community members in Oweto and Utuluewu villages in Agatu, while many others were injured in the attack,” John Ngbede told Morning Star News. “There was sporadic shooting in these two Christian communities in the early hours of Sunday, at about 10 a.m., when they were in their churches. This incident has forced Christian surviving residents of the two communities to flee their villages.”

Ngbede said the names of the slain Christians were not immediately available.

“However, I am sure of the casualty figure of those killed by the Fulani herdsmen,” he said. “Seven of them were killed in the attack.”

Sule Audu, another Christian community leader in the area, told Morning Star News by phone that a relative, 60-year-old Isah Onum, was among the seven killed.

“I do not understand the rationale behind these incessant killing of our people and the destruction of their homes,” Audu said.

Daniel Ezeala, police spokesman for the Benue State Command, confirmed that seven Christians were killed in Sunday’s attacks in Agatu. Five soldiers were also killed in the course of intervening.

The state secretary of the Myetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, Garus Gololo, reportedly said the assailants must have come from outside the area as he was not aware of any herdsmen in the Idoma-speaking areas of Agatu.

“I’m so sad over the killings in the area,” he said. “I’m also told that the soldiers fell in the middle of the crossfire between the Agatu and Fulanis. The killers should be arrested and prosecuted.”

In the attacks that killed eight Christians in Borno state, Boko Haram Islamists stormed Sabon Gari village in the Gwoza Local Government Area the night of Jan. 12, according to area Christian leader Peter Biye Gumte. The onslaught came after Boko Haram members destroyed a Church of the Brethren in Nigeria building in Bzuba village on Jan. 8.

Boko Haram insurgents last month attacked four predominantly Christian villages in the Gwoza, Damboa and askira-Uba Local Government Areas, leading to death of at least 26 Christians and destroying about 40 homes. The attacks in Bdagu, Izge, Hartsa and Yazza villages took place from Dec. 8 to Dec. 11.

In Plateau state, Fulani herdsmen in the Langtang North Local Government Area on Jan. 16 killed three Christians and wounded four others in Nwore and Yokdara villages, an area resident said. Kahfa Timbong, Tanden Nandang and Yakubu Changtim were slain, he said.

“The attackers were Fulani herdsmen, Muslims,” Nanpon Miri told Morning Star News. “They attacked the two villages during the morning hours, at about 10 a.m.”

Repelling the Fulani

In Kaduna state, the attempt by churchmen to defend themselves against armed Fulani herdsmen on Jan. 5 escalated into clashes in a cluster of villages, killing at least five of the assailants and leaving one Christian wounded.

Christian leaders in Manchok in the Kaura Local Government Area said they were thankful to God that Catholic parishioners leaving worship at about 11 a.m. caught sight of two vehicles full of invading ethnic Fulani gunmen – unknown to area Fulanis – in time for churchmen to mobilize to repel them. They said the Fulani herdsmen sought to kill Christians during Sunday worship.

"The gunmen shot indiscriminately at Christians who prevented them from gaining entrance into churches,” the Rev. Yakubu Gandu Nkut of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) in Zankan village, near Manchok, told Morning Star News. “All churches in Manchok, Zankan, Sabon Gari, Fadan Attakar, Gizagwai, Zangang, and in surrounding villages were forced to end their worship services abruptly because of the early morning invasion by these Fulani gunmen.”

The Fulani began shooting at crowds of Christians that had gathered to confront them by a church in the Sabon Gari area of Manchok, he said.

“A member of my church was shot by the gunmen and was injured,” said Nkut, also chairman of the local chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria.

Eyewitnesses told Morning Star News that some of the armed attackers were killed in the fracas as they attempt to gain access to churches in Manchok. Kumai Badu, chairman of the Kaura Local Government Council, said five people died in the thwarted attack on area churches but declined further comment.

“It is true that some gunmen were here to attack churches, and this led to a clash between some Christians and Fulani herdsmen, which led to the killing of five persons this morning,” Badu said on Jan. 5. “There was a quick intervention from the military stationed here, and everywhere is calm.”

A Fulani herdsman in Bungen village, near Manchok, 23-year-old Hashimu Pati, told Morning Star News that some Muslim Fulani gunmen unknown to area herdsmen came to Manchok and caused problems between them and Christians with whom they had been living peacefully.

“Yes, some Fulani armed gunmen were seen in Manchok town – they have brought problems between us and our Christian neighbours,” Pati said. “I appeal to the government to help us by assisting to rebuild some of our houses destroyed in the aftermath of the aborted attack on churches.”

Christian leaders said the incursion resulted in chaos and confusion in Manchok and all surrounding villages, and houses and vehicles were destroyed in clashes between assailants and Christians.

Services at Baptist, Catholic, Church of Christ in Nations, Pentecostal and ECWA churches were cut short, Nkut said.

Bwayan Silas, a Catholic leader in Bungen village, near Manchok, said the raid stopped his worship.

“We were in the church here, the St. Peter’s Catholic Church, when we heard sounds of gun shots,” Silas said. “We all ran out of the church and found that some Fulani gunmen had invaded the town of Manchok and other communities around. Scared about what was happening as we saw gunmen rushing into our village, we all took to our heels in different directions.”

A resident of Manchok said the gunmen left a note in the town threatening further attacks on Christian communities in the area since the Jan. 5 attack was thwarted.

“The Fulani gunmen yesterday [Jan. 8], dropped a letter in the town warning Christians to be prepared for a total war in the coming weeks,” Solomon Musa told Morning Star News.

Filipino Government Falls For the Biggest Trick in the Islamic Book....the "Peace Agreement"

So, let me cut to the chase here and deal out the facts...the Islamist terror group in the Philippines, the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, has been awarded autonomy in a small section of the country if they dismantle their group and leave the rest of the country at peace.  Now, that kind of agreement might work for others seeking independence but these are Muslims - they will not abide by peace until ALL OF THE PHILIPPINES IS UNDER MUSLIM CONTROL AND LAW.

Got that?  I give it three weeks and you will see the first of the Islamic terror attacks begin once again.

The story comes from DAWN.

Philippines, Muslim rebels clinch peace deal

KUALA LUMPUR: The Philippine government and the country's largest Muslim rebel group completed talks Saturday on a deal to end four decades of fighting that has killed tens of thousands of people and helped foster religioud extremism in Southeast Asia.

The accord between Filipino negotiators and the rebel Moro Islamic Liberation Front calls for Muslim self-rule in parts of the southern Philippines in exchange for the deactivation of the rebel force. Military presence in the proposed autonomous region would be restricted.

Much now will depend on how the accord is enforced, in particular whether the 11,000-strong rebel forces are able to maintain security in areas that would come under their control.

At least four other smaller Muslim rebel groups are still fighting Manila's rule in the southern Mindanao region, and could act as spoilers.

Officials from both sides announced the conclusion of talks in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, which has brokered the years-long negotiations.

The accord and three other pacts signed last year make up a final peace agreement that is to be signed in the Philippine capital, Manila, possibly next month, presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda said.

''This will give the just and lasting peace that our brothers in Mindanao are seeking,'' said Lacierda, referring to the volatile southern region and homeland of minority Muslims in the predominantly Roman Catholic nation.

Government negotiators, some teary-eyed, embraced each other after the conclusion of the talks. Chief government negotiator Miriam Ferrer hailed the progress and said ''good luck to everyone on the next stage, the implementation stage''.

Saturday's accord marks the most significant progress during 13 years of on-and-off negotiations with the Moro fighters to tame a tenacious insurgency that has left more than 120,000 people dead and derailed development in Muslim-populated southern regions that are among the most destitute in the Philippines.

The United States and other Western governments have supported the talks, worried that rebel strongholds could become breeding grounds for Al Qaeda-linked extremists who have sought sanctuary in the region in the past.

Under the peace deal, the Moro insurgents agreed to end violence in exchange for broader autonomy. An existing five-province Muslim autonomous region is to be replaced by a more powerful, better-funded and potentially larger region to be called Bangsamoro.

Despite the milestone, both the government and the rebels acknowledged that violence would not end overnight in a region that has long grappled with a volatile mix of crushing poverty, huge numbers of illegal firearms, clan wars and weak law enforcement.

Washington Governor Speaks at Islamist Event

I can remember a time when politicians ran away from CAIR meetings and speaking engagements.  That was BEFORE Barack Hussein Obama made it fashionable to kiss JIHADI ASS.

The story comes from The Clarion Project.

Washington Governor Speaks at Islamist Event

Governor Jay Robert Inslee of Washington spoke at an event on Martin Luther King Jr. Day that was organized by the state chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entity.

Inslee spoke for CAIR’s Muslim Lobby Day, where the group focused on three issues: Limiting usage of drones, funding low-income housing and passing the DREAM Act to grant financial aid for students without immigration documents. About 550 people attended the event.

CAIR is an unindicted co-conspirator in a terrorism-financing trial; federal prosecutors labeled it as an entity of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood’s Palestine Committee. The Committee was established in secret to advance the agenda of Hamas. The unindicted co-conspirator designation was upheld by a federal judge in 2009 because of “ample” evidence linking CAIR to Hamas.

According to CAIR’s press release, attendees from 35 of the state’s 49 districts attended and educated representatives about “Islamophobia.”

“They will provide information about recent anti-Muslim incidents and will urge their legislators to courageously speak out against Islamophobic rhetoric and hate crimes,” CAIR said.

CAIR and similar Islamist organizations slander their critics as “Islamophobes” in an attempt to discredit them. Moderate Muslims decry how Islamists use this term as a political weapon.

Abdur-Rahman Muhammad, a former member of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood, said he was present in the 1990s when a Brotherhood front decided to use the term for political purposes.

“This loathsome term is nothing more than a thought-terminating cliche conceived in the bowels of Muslim think tanks for the purpose of beating down critics,” says Muhammad.

In the summer of 2013, CAIR-WA waged a successful campaign to have ads posted by the U.S. government on buses removed that promoted a $25 million award for information leading to the neutralization of 16 top terrorists. CAIR said that the ads were offensive since all terrorists are Muslim and mobilized its non-Muslim political allies to have the ads taken down.

In December 2008, CAIR-WA director Arsalan Bukhari told a mosque audience that they should not talk to the FBI because of its alleged persecution of Muslims.

“There’s nothing to gain from talking to law enforcement,” Bukhari said.

Governor Inslee’s legitimizing of CAIR comes shortly after Governor Quinn of Illinois addressed a major Islamist conference. These Islamist organizations use these opportunities to bolster their stature and present themselves as the voice of the Muslim-American community.

Governors Inslee and Quinn and other government officials court these CAIR chapters even as the FBI’s official policy is to shun CAIR as an outreach partner.
